Just Because CAS Cards with Dana

Hello, everyone!

Its' Dana here and I'm back with another *Pastels* theme of this month. If you haven't joined our monthly challenge yet at FB Fan group, please clickHERE and get more amazing inspiration from talented crafters!

To start, I began by die cutting two cover panels using Hero Arts Garden Fancy Die. I put them aside and took two pieces of WOW! Superior Smooth White Cardstocks for next step.

For first card, I rubbed the paper with WOW! Embossing Pad and sprinkled two embossing powders and heat set it. I used WOW! Opaque Pastel Yellow and WOW! Primary Chartreuse colors.

For second card, I added colors on the background with same way as first one. I used WOW! Taffeta Pink Embossing Powder and WOW! Unicorn Magic Embossing Glitter.

I stamped sentiments from Studio Katia Label Messages and die cut them out using coordinating dies. Then, I popped up cover panel and sentiment using foam adhesive.

As a final touch, I embellished with Studio Katia Sunny Topaz (November) C…

Designer Spotlight - Gemma

We feel so blessed to have this talented Design Team member Gemma be part of the WOW! family. Get to know her that little more as we have asked her a series of questions.
What is your favourite thing about crafting?  Turning a sketched idea into a card. I almost always sketch my cards and I love to see how they turn out - some cards follow the idea almost exactly, but others change in the process of making them.
If you could chose to do anything for the day, what would it be?  Spend it with family. A day with my nieces and nephew is my favourite thing to do.
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?  Sending snail mail cards. It’s become so easy to send a Facebook message or text to wish someone a happy birthday, but it’s never quite the same as receiving a card in the post. Especially a handmade card.
What song would you say best sums you up?  This changes all the time, but I think 'Waiting on the World to Change' by John Mayer sums up me at the moment.
What is y…

Five Ways to Use Clear Embossing Powder with Jenny

Hi everyone!  Jenny here, and today I'm going to be showing you five ways to use clear embossing powders.  I love clear embossing powder - it's so versatile, and these techniques are super easy.

I use both the WOW! Embossing Clear Gloss and the Matte - you can use either of these for the techniques.   I also have a video showing how I created the four projects.

My first card uses WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder on black cardstock. You can use this technique for creating an enamel type look. It works particularly well with black cardstock, Clear Gloss Superfine embossing powder, and very detailed stamped and repeated patterns.

I used the Rebecca Lace Background stamp by Simon Says Stamp to create this card - simply stamp with WOW! Embossing ink and heat emboss in Superfine Clear Gloss (perfect for the detail in this image.

I wanted to keep it clean and simple, so I added a Simon You Are Kind die cut from holographic card stock and sequins.

My next technique uses Clear Matt…

The only limitation to this technique is your imagination, so make sure you play and experiment! Three ways to use heat embossing on vellum in card designs video: v

Three ways to use heat embossing on vellum in card designs photos:For the first heat embossed vellum card, we are going to create an embossed vellum overlay with an ink blended background.
