WOW! Winter Tags

Hello there!! Tanisha here with a couple of quick tags that I created using WOW's amazing stamps and embossing powders.

I used Little Yellow Bicycle's beautiful Winterings Line for these tags.  I started by cutting tags shapes from patterned papers, stamping and embossing the background and then layering elements to finish them off.

"Let It Snow" tag:  I stamped the background with a tree from the Deck The Halls Stamp set and embossed with Opaque Bright White powder.  I inked the edged of the "snow drifts" and embossed with Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter to enhance the look of the "snow" before adding to the tag.  I used WOW embossing pen to write the sentiment and then embossed with Primary Bark.

"Welcome Winter" tag:  I stamped the entire background using the French Music stamp and embossed with Earthtone Honey before adding my embellishments.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

Happy Saturday all of you crafty peeps!   It is that time of year again when our crafty goodness can be turned into gifts, and cards, so lets take a peek at what the gals from Team Glitter Girls are up to! First up we have Jen Matott.  She made a beautiful Altered Gift Tin and Necklace.  This is what Jen had to say about her project! "In the spirit of Christmas, I wanted to create a gift for a girl friend of mine. I used an empty cigar tin that I had found, and covered it with patterned papers. I wanted to pretty up the edges so that the original paint did not show.I dabbed on VersaMark with a dauber and added Regular Metallic Silver powders. They melt so smooth an coat the metal perfectly! To create the necklace, I used an Ideology Facet and cut out a piece of patterned paper for the back. Once it was adhered, I used the dauber again and coated the back and sides with VersaMark. The silver WOW powder created a metal look and finished this piece! It's ready to give!"

No Tricks, Just treats on this page!

Hello There! Today we have four girls from the Wow Glitter Girls team to show you some treats!   No tricks on this page, except for some fun new ones you could try on your own projects!   Today we have a little of everything, so lets take a peek at what is here! First off, we have Jenifer Cowles. The inspiration for this layout was the beautiful shimmery Bodacious Blue embossing powder.  It happened to match her daughter’s shirt so she used it as the theme for her layout. "I used the Bodacious Blue, Neutral Ultra Shimmer and Opaque Bright white embossing powders. The Stamps I used were the Funky Border Strips and the Make a Wish stamp."
We love how interesting it is too stamp on the feather, and  love the dandelion image from the Make a Wish set!  It goes together great!

Now, Look at this beauty that Jen Matott has created!   WOWSERS!!! Looks as though Jen did a few different things to create this stunning effect. "I used Helmar's Gemstone Glue with a foam applicator through a…

October challenge - Embossing Pen

Hey there WOW fans -- Tanisha here with a fun challenge for you!!  I want you to whip out your embossing pens and go to town.  If you're like me, then you have a ball with embossing powders and ink and stencils, but often forget about embossing pens.  E. Pens are a terrific way to add little details to embellishments or add definition to your doodles.

I used WOW's embossing pen with opaque bright white powder to highlight my freestyled scalloped border seen here.

I used the embossing pen to trace chipboard stars onto the background and then embossed with bright opaque white powder.
Here, I added a little sparkle to the camera embellishment with Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter.   I simply used the embossing pen to color the areas that I wanted to emboss.

Now, it's your turn to show us what you can do with WOW Embossing Powders and an embossing pen.    Simply create a project and add the link to your project in the comments section.  One lucky challenge participant wil…

Embossing + Laminating = Custom Embellishments

Hello everyone!! Tanisha here with with a really cool embossing technique that I used to create acrylic embellishments.  I grabbed my purple cows laminator and hot pockets, embossing ink, WOW's Gratitude Stamp set, powders in a few different colors, and circle dies.

I started by stamping the "looped squiggle" inside the hot pocket and then coated with WOW embossing powders (I did one color at a time).
Once all of the stamped images were covered with embossing powders, I placed the pocket on a piece of cardstock, to prevent curling, and ran it through the lamintor.

The heat from the laminator melts (and seals) the powders, leaving you with an acrylic sheet to work with.  At this point, you can use the acrylic sheet as is...
...or pull out your dies and put them to work!  I wanted to create a banner, so I die cut circles and cut some of them in half and stitched them across the top of my layout.

I used the other circles to highlight embellishments and create a visual triangle…

Quality Time

Hey there WOW! fans, Tanisha here with a layout featuring some of my favorite WOW! powders and WOW's Call Me Stamp set.

I used an embossing pen to outline the butterfly seen here and then used Earth tone Paprika to highlight the outline.  I embossed the pre-made chipboard embellishments with Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing to add a little bling.
I used the postage stamp from the set to create my own patterned paper strips using Earth tone Honey and Cotton Candy.
I changed the color of the chipboard alpha by first embossing them with Ebony powder.  Once cooled, I re-inked and then embossed with Black Glint embossing glitter.

Make It Bright and Colorful

Hey there WOW fans, Tanisha here with a layout featuring a picture of my sweetie and I from a few years ago. When I came across this photo, I knew I wanted to scrap it, but I needed bright colors to help it pop.  That's where WOW's Suzy West's Embossing Powders in Cable Car Red and California Sunshine come in. (Pretty appropriate colors since this photo was taken in the San Diego Zoo)
I used them along with a chicken wire mask to create a colorful background so that the photo didn't get lost on the white paper.

I don't know about you, but I don't think a layout s complete without a little bling.  That's where embossing glitters come in pretty darn handy!

I used WOW's Black Glint Embossing Powder with a stamp from WOW's "Is It A Bird?" set to create the tag here.  I inked the white flowers and then coated them with WOW's Neutral Ultra Shimmer.

I Used the heart border from the "Gratitude" stamp set and WOW's Clear Gloss Ult…

Time Flies

Good day everyone!! It's Tanisha here again with another layout to share with you.

I have finally had the chance to work with the Build A Butterfly Stamp set and I am LOVING it!!  It's super versatile since the outline and fill-ins are individual stamps.  I used the set here on this layout along with embossing powders in Bubblegum and Opaque Pastel Blue and embossing glitters in Black Glint and Neutral Ultra Shimmer.

In order to really make my butterflies pop, I stamped and embossed them directly on the layout and then onto a piece of patterned paper.  I cut the butterflies from the paper and then adhered them with pop dots over the one directly on the layout.

This stamp set and WOW's amazing array of colors makes it really easy to pull colors from your layouts and create stunning embellishments!

Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing glitter makes everything look amazing!!  I used it to add some oomph to some of the die cuts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I have…

It's Clear

Hey there blog fans--  Tanisha here with a special project for a special lady.  I'm sure you are aware that this month is just about over, which means Mother's Day is right around the corner.

I used my 2 new favorite (for now) WOW powders, Clear Gloss Ultra High and Neutral Ultra Shimmer glitter and the Flowers background stamp to create this canvas for mom.

I sporadically stamped the background with the stamp and embossed with Clear Gloss Ultra High.  I used several different inks to add color to the canvas and then used a damp paper towel to remove the ink from the embossing leaving a  masked look.

I used Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter on the flowers, the canvas background and the photo corners.  I love how the powders melt to clear glittery gloss allowing the color of the embellishments to shine through.
I have to admit, these 2 powders are addictive!  I literally had to stop myself from covering the entire canvas in glitter!

That's all from me today.  Thanks f…
