Elegant Wooden Frame in Less than an Hour

It's THAT time of year when every moment seems filled with the kids' activities (more so than the others times of the year).

In addition to working full time, managing to keep the house in some order and hustling kids to and from school and practices, I am attempting to capture some milestones for both the kids. My oldest has turned 16 and the younger will be 13 in a few weeks. In the days between these birthdays we also have a Sacramental milestone. I said it was busy. I'm sure MANY of you out there feel the same time crunch and wonder how you can ever get a moment to "scrap" or create.

I feel the need to take a few moments to contemplate the momentous occasions and make something to share with my sons. Here's what I did with WOW in just about an hour. I think you can embellish something nice as well in a quick minute.

With a couple wooden elements from the craft store painted in school colors, I assembled a wooden frame. I selected two wooden embellishments, …

It's a lovely Saturday...

Hi Wow embossing powder fans,

I hope that your Saturday is off to a great start. The leaves are finally starting to change colors on the trees where I live in Northern California, and I am looking forward to falling back with the time change this coming Sunday. Do you have plans on what you are going to do with the extra hour? The Powder Puff girls team are back today and they have lots of inspiration to share with you. Who knows, you might find yourself spending that extra hour embossing after you see these amazing projects.

Here we go...

Winds of Change Layout

Hi Jenifer here with you today with a fall layout for you.   I used the Gratitude stamp and punched several of the tree branches with the leaves.  I then cut out each individual leaf and made it look like the leaves in my photo where actually cascading down the page.  I also used the Metallic Gold on the new Momenta Metal stickers to change the color a little and it worked like a charm and matched my brads :)  Love it when that happens.
Here is a close up.
Supplies: Wow Embossing powders in  Earthtone Olive, Pepper, Nutmeg, Honey and Paprika.  Sierra Sunrise and Metallic Gold Rich Pale Wow Gratitude stamp May Arts Ribbon Momenta Metal Sticker My Little Shoebox, papers and letter stickers.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my project today, make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration. Have a great week, Jenifer

WOW Butterflies

Hi Jenifer here with you today with a simple but beautiful layout.  I have had this wonderful picture of this group of butterflies that I took on a camping trip sitting on my worktable for years now.  It has just been to beautiful for me to really do it justice.  Until now.  As you can see I have kept the page pretty simple but still giving it plenty of pizazz.

Can you see all the sparkle?  I mixed the Sierra Sunrise Embossing Glitter with the Earthtone Honey and got a wonderful effect. For the Butterfly I used the ebony regular embossing powder and then colored it in with some color to make it look like one of the butterflies was flying out of the picture.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my post today.  Make sure you stop by everyday for all of the wonderful talent we have on this team. Jenifer

Dream the Journey with WOW

Hello, my dear WOW friends! Irit is here again  with my new and fancy page.
This time I concentrated in covering bare chipboards with our gorgeous embossing powders and also tried some new coverage technique using Pumice paste.
Here is a page I  made

I got this huge  A2Z Scraplets street lamp and I decided  to create " around it". Products used are Creative Imaginations papers and die cuts . The central circle was this A2Z chipboard , the inside left from the Butterfly frame I used a couple of month ago, covered with CI paper, but then I made my stickers wall, colored with some Clearsnap Yellow mist and some masking (not much seen) with Clearsnap green inks. The masks are from Tando Creative.
The title chipboards  and the corner were covered with Susy West Sierra Sunrise embossing powders and then inked around with some brown- reddish ink.

The lamp was  my first ever use of Pumice paste and I just let it dry, covered with some brown ink, added some  Wow  Metallic  Copper  Regul…

All dolled up with Wow Embossing Powders

Today I am using my Cheery Lynn Dies along with some fabulous stamps and embossing powders from Wow Embossing Powders by the lovely Suzy West. I cam across this adorable bookmark on Etsy:

I always look at things and think..ooh, I could do that even though I do not have the exact supplies the original was made out of.  With all my Cheery Lynn Designs dies, I knew I would be able to make my own version of this Japanese Kokeshi doll.  I also knew I wanted to use all of my WOW EMBOSSING GLITTERS and WOW STAMPS to accentuate the patterned papers I was going to use for the doll. Here is my version...

My doll is much bigger than the bookmark and I have turned it into a plaque rather than a bookmark.

For the doll and clothing I used Scalloped Circle Stackers and Scalloped Oval Stackers.

I enhanced the dies and patterned paper with the Wow Embossing Powders and Stamps. You can see the sparly patterns on the dress and the background and I used one of the WOW STAMPS from the "CALL ME" for th…

Grow Canvas

I thought that I would share a cool technique with you today, I am sure that most of you know about it and have used it before but I thought I would share it again.  This is a small canvas (4x4)  I used the "Call Me" stamp set.  I used the Clear Gloss Superfine, I painted the entire canvas blue then wiped off the extra with a paper towel.  Where there was the Clear embossing powder the paint came off leaving me with the white of the canvas exposed.  I then decorated it with little bits and bobs coming up with a grow theme.  For the sun I use the Sierra Sunrise Embossing Glitter, and boy does it sparkle.

Here is a close up of the Sierra Sunrise Embossing Glitter, see how beautiful it is.  I think it is one of my new favorites, along with all of the other wonderful colors.

Other Supplies used:  May Arts Bakers Twine, My Little Shoebox Cardstock stickers and remenants of a doily.

I hope you have enjoyed my project for today, make sure you stop by tomorrow for more inspiration:)

Thank you so very much by Sesil Cratin

I had so much fun using the "Gratitude" stamp set.  I was able to create a 3D flower by stamping and cutting out  three sets of the flower petals then layering on top of each other.  I used the border stamp along either side of the card to give it a little frame around the entire card.  I was able to use the Suzy West - Serra Sunrise Embossing Glitter to pull all the colors together on the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think of the great WOW! Embossing Powders and stamps.  Hope you have an inspired day!

Book of me in Wow

Hi everyone!
Benedicte here! I'm glad to show you this Book of me mini album. It's just a kind of copybook made with kraft papers that I'll fill in all along the year. Here are the cover and the first pages. For the cover, I used the leaves from the Gratitude stamps board that I embossed with some Olive powder. For the following page, I embossed a part of the Gratitude board with some "Whirly pop" powder : I think it really gives contrast to the white doilie.

Finally, for the third double page, I embossed the Gratitude board with the "Sierra Sunrise" powder : I love the glittering effects :) On the other page, I embossed the flower background set with some Olive powder.

I hope you'll get inspiration from this mini, and that you'll want to make your own to tell about yourself thanks to your photos and stories.
Talk to you soon on Wow blog!
