Smile Card

Jen Matott here with a card that brings a little bit of sunshine to the recipient. I used the "Call Me" stamp for this simple card!
First, I stamped on the card front directly and used Earthtone Pepper.  I sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Olive Vine.  Once dry, I used a sentiment stamp in the upper left corner.  I stamped a corner of the stamp on the small shipping tag and used Earthtone Honey on it.
I tied a piece of ribbon on the tag and layered it over the corner of the first stamp so that it matched up.  It gives it a little pop of drama... A little sunshine.

Supplies:
WOW Embossing powder in Earthtone Pepper & Earthtone Honey
 "Call Me" stamp set
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Olive Vine
Ribbon: Hug Snug seam binding
Tag
Smile stamp: aMuse
Helmar Adhesives
Cardstock: Couture Cardstock

Create your own easy Pin Stripes

Hi everyone! Amy Prior here today to share a fabulous and easy little tutorial on how to make your own Pin Striped backgrounds. Best thing about stripes is they never seem to go out of fashion!!!!

Today I am going to create a card and although I am starting off with this amazing fun 6x6 paper from Prima, I am actually going to create my own background using this baby as a base. First off you will need some Double Sided Tape in any size you like. I decided to use 3 different sizes here.

Rip off pieces of the Double Sided Tape and place them on your page to make stripes. You can do them as close or as far apart as you like and you can do any pattern you like if you are using more than 1 thickness.

Once the Double Sided Tape is all adhered, trim off the excess using your craft knife or a pair of scissors. I found this step easier by flipping it all upside down and using my craft knife carefully.

Next step of course is to remove the backing off the tape. My girls helped with this part LOL t…

Blast From the Past!

Jen here and it's my 20th high school reunion this weekend (and my 38th birthday;) and I thought as a tribute to those good times, I'd create a layout with my senior portrait from *gasp* 1992!
My graduating class started posting photos from our time in high school on our Facebook page and I went digging for "old" photos... I found lots of fun and memorable ones.  There was no Facebook or email then... I guess it was a simpler time.  Can you imagine what we would have done with that technology?

This layout was fun to make!  I started with a woodgrain paper and added VersaMark ink through some punchinella and added WOW!  Bright white powder to it.  I love this powder... it's so opaque and bright!
Next, I stamped a Basically Bare chipboard frame with VersaMark and used Bronze Metallic on it.  I added some more VersaMark and mixed Cotton Candy and Earthtone Olive to create a patina look to the frame.

Underneath that fun frame, I layered a canvas page from Basically B…

Celebrate!!!

Jen Matott here to CELEBRATE our national holiday with a patriotic card I made using Suzy's stamps and powders from WOW!   I love the "Call Me stamp set with it's star/ text stamp.  This became the base for my card design.  I absolutely love this text stamp!  I stamped it on white cardstock with VersaMark ink.  Then applied Cable Car Red first, Bright White next, and Bay Area Blue last.  I love the stripped effect it gave.   Then, I inked a doily and sprinkled the Platinum Sparkle over it.  I was thinking "fireworks" with this!  It has a silver shimmer that reminds me of the fireworks we just saw this weekend!  I stamped the frame from "Simply Amazing" set on white cardstock next and used the Platinum Sparkle again.  Then I used a Celebrate sentiment stamp that I had and used Black Glint on it.  The letters were chipboard and used the same powders as the text stamped image.  They are so bright on the white chipboard!  Here's a close up of the doily, sta…
