Mixed Media ATC Trio

Hey sweet crafty friends!

I hope you are all doing well. It's Fran with your dose of WOW! inspiration and I have some micro mini wonders to share with you today in the form of ATC's (artist trading cards). I have used a selection of  WOW embossing powders to create a variety of textures and effects.
And here is my set of three ATC's together. I wanted to create a set which matched in terms of colour scheme and accents but were all individual. The base for this one stared out as an old postcard which I cut down prepared with gesso. I stamped the circular stamp from the Spark 'n' Shine set all over the card then adhered pen nibs and pieces of crumpled Copper Fab Foil onto one of the stamped circles to fashion the main feature of the card. Textures have been created with the use of micro beads, Copper Ultra High and Blueberry Cheesecake embossing powder which I melted over the beads.   For the second ATC I used the same postcard, again cut down to form the base card …

An Early Autumn

Good morning crafty friends, I hope you're all well and having a productive month! For the "Anything Goes" challenge  this month I decided to get my inspiration from the changing seasons and created this Autumnal card.

I started by stamping leaves from the Flights of Fancy Clear Stamp Set across teal coloured card which I then embossed with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I then coloured around the leaves with ProMarkers and added a sentiment from the Just Saying Clear Stamp Set.

I then made a cute heart embellishment using Bonding Powder, Metallic Copper and Iridium powders melted and poured into a heart silicone mould. I also added dots with an embossing pen then sprinkled Iridium Embossing Glitter on top for a bit of sparkle.
I hope you get the chance to join in with the challenge this month, I will look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Mixed Media Tag by Susanne Rose

Hi everyone!

It's Susanne writing today and I'd like to share a mixed media tag with you. I used liquid watercolors together with the round mini Gelli Plate to create my background.

The "Hey little Flower" stamps add a lovely texture to my background together with the brand new "Banana Split" powder.

I pick some gelli prints and emboss the "Flights of Fancy" with "Primary Ebony" powder.

I paint the edges of my tag with a black Gelato.

The lovely hearts are created with the "Hearts" mould and a combination of WOW! Melt it Powder "Mint Macaroon" and "Under the Sea". I used some wool from my kids to finish the tag.

The sentiment is from the brand new "Just Saying" stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xx Susanne.

The Journey - Mixed Media Textures Card

Hey everyone! I hope you are well and feeling creative today. This month's blog project theme is Summer and I went for a less obvious route as inspiration for the project; journeys. Summer is all about holidays, trips out, getting out and enjoying the light, warmth (occasionally!) and possibilities it brings.

I firstly gessoed the front of the card and added the main texture of tulle net which I adhered with soft gel medium, sprinkled with embossing powders onto then melted with a heat tool . Using a WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing pad to tap around the edges of the card I then sprinkled with Copper powder to add a dramatic metallic highlight.

On top of the net details I added a foiled die cut star and stamped leaf from the Feathers of Fancy with the Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing pad. I sprinkled the images with Bonding Powder then melted with a heat tool and lightly pressed Teal and Copper Fab Foil onto the stamped details. Leave to cool, lift off and hey presto! …

Card

Hello everybody, this is Laurence today with a tutorial to create a card. Today I wanted to try fab foil and I really love how it turns out. It is quite different from gold embossing powder and it may be used in different ways. You should give it a try!!!! I use a frame covered with paper of an old book and dab directly on my frame with my embossing pad. I heat embossed with WOW bonding powder and when still hot I randomly added WOW fab foil by laying the sheet on the heated parts. I added a second layer in some spots. The button is created with the WOW button mould. I melted WOW Primary Bluetiful and WOW opaque Vanilla White in a foil case, keeping moving the heatgun until completely melted and poured directly into the mould. Then I stamped and heat embossed a leaf with WOW opaque Vanilla and cut it out. The sentiment is stamped on vellum.
I can't wait to see what you create this month for the "Happy Summer" challenge. You may link your project here. WOW Flights of Fancy Wow …

Nature's Abode - Altered Mixed Media Tin

Hey everyone! It's Fran here with today's WOW! inspiration and this month I have a cute altered tin lid to share with you.

I was inspired by the beautiful colours of Spring and the mix of rustic textures mixed with soft pastels and flowers.

I have used the Flights of Fancy leaves stamped onto acetate with WOW clear embossing ink then sprinkled the leaves with Under The Sea, Bluetiful, White Pearl and Metallic Copper powders. I then melted the powder to create a 3D warped effect, as the acetate distorts with the heat and sets into a realistic shape once cool.Stamping details have been added to the background paper using a stamp from the Sparkle & Shine with clear embossing ink and Opaque White powder.

For the "nest" I mixed Melt-It powder with Metallic Copper and Opaque White powder to create a beige colour and poured onto a heat resistant mat in a swirl. The little vellum butterfly has been coloured with an embossing pen and highlighted with Bluetiful embossing …
