VIDEO: Heat Embossed Wreath Stamping with Jenny Colacicco

Have you ever tried layering embossing powders?  You can really achieve some fun effects, especially layering translucent colors over opaque colors, or shades of the same color on layering stamps.   In today's post, I'm using a wreath builder stencil (by Gina K) to use achieve some layering effects, and also show you how some of the wide range of gold embossing powders WOW! carries compare with each other.  There's a video showing you how I created these two cards which you can see here or over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel

For my first card, I used a wide variety of golds along with the Gina K wreath builder stencil and Mandala Maker stamper set.
I built up my mandala in the usual way as you would with ink, but instead I used the following embossing powders, which all pair beautifully with each other: Rose Gold, Metallic Brass, Metallic Rich Pale Gold.

I made sure to use my powder tool in between each 'ring'.  It's a little tricky to see where you…

A Christmas Wreath By Jaine

I love to create wreaths at Christmas time and including them on a card is so classic. If you don't have winter foliage stamps why not look at some of your other stamps for images to adapt. Using the right colours and a bit of sparkle almost any image could be adapted into a wreath for Christmas.

I started simply by lightly drawing my circle on a piece of card. I had a roll of tape at hand so used that.

For the first layer I stamped and embossed directly onto the card with Glamour Green Embossing Glitter, the small leaf from a set by Pretty Pink Posh called Autumn Blooms.

For my next layer I stamped, embossed and die cut (the set also has matching dies which makes this part so much easier) some of the other foliage shapes. I chose Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter and as I didn't have a red embossing glitter I created my own by mixing some Coral Beach Sparkles with a little Bonding Powder.

I arranged the pieces on my wreath and glued them down.

The biggest revelation to me wh…

Sparkly Wreath

Welcome WoW fans :)  This is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun sparkly wreath I made.  It is so cool my daughter stole it from me before the powders were even dry..  LOL I cut a circle ring out of a piece of cardboard and then stamped and embossed an entire sheet of leaves.  I layered them on the cardboard and added a fun ribbon tassel and a fantastic glitter velvet bow.  The glitter reindeer is an old Christmas ornament that went perfect with the beautiful sparkle of the powders.
Here is a close up of some of the sparkle.  I hope you have enjoyed my project today.
