Valentine's Card by Laurence Colling

Hello everyone, this is Laurence here and I am very excited to share my first blog post. Valentine's Day is in a few days and I wanted to create a card on that theme. The Wow buttons mould has a beautiful button in the shape of a heartand was perfect to use on my project. I first mixed Wow melt-it with WOW Pink Lady and WOW Cha Cha Cha to add a glittery effect (¼ teaspoon both) in a foil case. I hold the foil with a peg and started heating it under the the foil. When completely molten, I poured the liquid into the mould and waited until it had cooled down. It was very easy and quick embellishment. I had some liquid left and let drop a tiny quantity on my craft sheet to have my own "dots" that coordinate perfectly with the button.

I used watercolor paper and dilute watercolor with water on a separate piece of plastic bag. Then I turned it over my card, gently pressed it down and moved it to have add more color on the left side of the card. When completely dried I placed a st…

Buttons in the spot light!

Hello and welcome to the WOW! UK blog!

This months theme is altered/recycled art. I decided to give some old buttons a new life by turning them into a piece of fun jewelry.

I first covered the buttons with Fab Foil using Bonding Powder. After applying the foil I heated them untill the foil started to "cook" which creates a fun texture. Watch out, cooking is ok, burning is not :)
After they cooled down I added a layer of Ultra High Clear Embossing Powder and while the embossing enamel was still hot and fluid I sprinkled in some micro beads to add more texture. Finally I added a top layer of Ultra High Clear Embossing Powder to make sure the micro beads stay in place.

I used some jewelry elastic to bind them together to a bracelet.

I think it turned out to be a fun piece and it is so light you hardly notice you're wearing it.

Spring Inspiration

Hello again! Today I am sharing with you my DT project using this month's colour inspiration.

I used the butterfly stamp from the new WOW! Embossing Powders Stamp Set Simply Amazing. I embossed each butterfly with different powders - Easter Sparkle, Pastel Pink, Pastel Blue, Purple Glow, Pastel Purple. Then I cut out each butterfly and mounted them onto the card. I took three buttons and embossed them in the same colours and added them to the butterflies.  I used a WOW! Embossing Pen to make the dots on the card and then sprinkled over the different colour powders.  The greeting is from the stamp set Love Beyond Measure. I simply poured over two colours of pastel powder at the same time to get the two tone effect.

Don't forget there is still time to join in with this month's giveaway!

Well I'm here today to try and show ya.

Hey there everyone, Erika Taylor here today with my first blog post as a Wow Embossing Powders Design Team member (say that 5 times fast). I will have plenty of tutorials for you during my term. but today I wanted to Keep It Simple. It is all about the things you can emboss so here we go...

I had this beautiful Susie Bee Studios paper staring at me and thought hmmmm, this will be perfect for what I want to share with you. First off Wow Embossing Powders are amazing on the tried and true paper. As you can see in the photo below, I've used 2 different embossing powders. First, I've…
