"Antique" Inspired Layout

This month's theme is "Antique". I don't have very many old photos that are really good quality and the ones that I do I have scrapped before, so I decided just to do a "Antique" inspired age. This photo is older, but not antique! This is our daughter when she was young. She has a baby of her own now!!!
I made my own custom frame by cutting a piece of WorldWin chipboard. I just used my craft knife and made a window type frame. I used several layers of Metallic Copper Ultra High powder on this.

I also used the "Simply Amazing" stamp set and made a cameo accent. I just used the Opaque Bright White powder on black cardstock. I used Earthtone Pepper for the frame of the cameo.
Here you can see part of the frame. I added some lace and blooms with some punched leaves also.
Here again you see part of the frame and a few little corner accents.
I used the "Vintage Wallpaper" stamp with Primary Ebony powder also. I love the look of this stamp, es…

You are my reason to smile.....

Stars and Strip Challenge Time
Hello all, its my time to share what I have been up to with the wonderful WoW Embossing Powders and Foils.  The challenge is to use stars and stripes in your challenge.  I had this idea and I love it.

Don't you love the grungy look,  I love how this all came together with the layers

I made my stars using some left over patterned paper, I used a stencil and drew my star shapes, cut them out and then I got my WOW embossing pen and went around the edges.  I then sprinkled special edition embossing glitter Sahara and heat embossed.

Do you have alpha font that's the wrong colour for your project,  Try embossing them, its easy as and you get the perfect colour for your project.  Here I have used  a mixture of Earthtone Nutmeg and Earthtone Pepper.

Alex is five in this pic so I added a five to the side.

Here I have added a layer to my layout by adding Copper Fab Foil, and a splash of Red  to.

I have used a star behind a tear for more interest.

Colored Pinecones

Happy Friday everyone and thanks for stopping by today to see what we have to share with you.

Here in the Eastern United States Fall has come and the leaves are a changing on the trees. I just love all the colors of this time of year. For my family Fall means spending lots of time in the woods. Just a few weeks ago we were out in the woods walking around and I noticed some pincones on the ground. I decided to grab a few and bring them home. Of course I was thinking, I wonder if you can emboss on pinecones? Has anyone ever tried this?? Well, I decided to give it a shot.

So here is what I started out with. (I only did the pinecones for this project.)

I decided to do each pinecone a different color. The colors I chose were Earthtone Peper, Earthtone Paprika, and Earthtone Nutmeg from the Suzy West Pantry Collection. I used the wide tip end of a Versamark Embossing Pen all over the insides of the pinecones. I wanted them to kind of have a rustic feel so I wasn't real careful in covering …

Smile Card

Jen Matott here with a card that brings a little bit of sunshine to the recipient. I used the "Call Me" stamp for this simple card!
First, I stamped on the card front directly and used Earthtone Pepper.  I sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Olive Vine.  Once dry, I used a sentiment stamp in the upper left corner.  I stamped a corner of the stamp on the small shipping tag and used Earthtone Honey on it.
I tied a piece of ribbon on the tag and layered it over the corner of the first stamp so that it matched up.  It gives it a little pop of drama... A little sunshine.

Winds of Change Layout

Hi Jenifer here with you today with a fall layout for you.   I used the Gratitude stamp and punched several of the tree branches with the leaves.  I then cut out each individual leaf and made it look like the leaves in my photo where actually cascading down the page.  I also used the Metallic Gold on the new Momenta Metal stickers to change the color a little and it worked like a charm and matched my brads :)  Love it when that happens.
Here is a close up.
Supplies: Wow Embossing powders in  Earthtone Olive, Pepper, Nutmeg, Honey and Paprika.  Sierra Sunrise and Metallic Gold Rich Pale Wow Gratitude stamp May Arts Ribbon Momenta Metal Sticker My Little Shoebox, papers and letter stickers.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my project today, make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration. Have a great week, Jenifer

Embossing with Masks

Hello all,  Donna here today sharing with you one of my favorite technique with WOW Embossing Powder.  Today we are going to take a close up look at embossing with a mask.   So Lets get right to it.
Using a mask, ink up like a stamp with your VersaMark stamp pad.    Turn mask over and place where you would like image to go  Using a spare piece of paper and a roller, apply pressure to  to make to leave the Versa Mark ink on paper  Add your embossing powder to you project (I have used Earth tone Pepper)  Remove any extra powder with a brush   Heat with a heat gun and your done.   Here's a layout I have started, I have used it to make a boarder around my photo. Here's a Layout I have completed using this technique  and some close ups,  I love how this effect gives added layers with out all the bulk I have used Cotton Candy Embossing Powder for this layout   Here I have used the Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter Powder to make my title pop!  Embossing on chip board is very simple
