Holiday Wishes Card with Dana

Hello, everyone!
It's Dana here and I'd like to share holiday card with Silver/Gold theme of this month.

To start, I stamped winter images onto white card stock and colored them in with Copic markers. I die cut them out using coordinating dies and let them aside for next step.

I die cut tag from two pieces of bristol papers and ink blended one of them with distress oxide inks. I then die cut another one with border die. I scribbled WOW! Embossing Pen along with its edge and sprinkled WOW! Unicorn Magic Embossing Glitter and heat set it.

After I mounted small pieces on the tag, I stamped sentiment with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with WOW! Red Glitz Embossing Powder.

For background, I stenciled sun rays with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink using mini sponge dauber onto woodgrain card stock. I then sprinkled WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and heat set them.

Then, I popped up tag onto stenciled panel using foam tape.

I embellished my card with red crystals h…

A Christmas Wreath By Jaine

I love to create wreaths at Christmas time and including them on a card is so classic. If you don't have winter foliage stamps why not look at some of your other stamps for images to adapt. Using the right colours and a bit of sparkle almost any image could be adapted into a wreath for Christmas.

I started simply by lightly drawing my circle on a piece of card. I had a roll of tape at hand so used that.

For the first layer I stamped and embossed directly onto the card with Glamour Green Embossing Glitter, the small leaf from a set by Pretty Pink Posh called Autumn Blooms.

For my next layer I stamped, embossed and die cut (the set also has matching dies which makes this part so much easier) some of the other foliage shapes. I chose Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter and as I didn't have a red embossing glitter I created my own by mixing some Coral Beach Sparkles with a little Bonding Powder.

I arranged the pieces on my wreath and glued them down.

The biggest revelation to me wh…

Rainbow Ornament Card with Dana

Hello, everyone!

It's Dana from Dana G. Crafts and I'm so excited to be sharing my first card here as a WOW! Design Team member. As you know, our monthly theme is 'rainbow' and I used various techniques for my rainbow card today.

To begin, I pulled out A2 sized bristol paper and ink blended it with rainbow colors of distress oxide inks. I then die cut several circles from black card stock as shown.

I stamped some geometric images from Sparkle & Shine Stamp Set with Embossing Ink and sprinkled Metallic Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder and heat set each of them.

Then, I applied anti-static powder to black card stock and drew some lines using Embossing Pen and ruler. I heat embossed them using same embossing powder with ornament images.

I also heat embossed 'happy everything' sentiment from Studio Katia Birthday Greetings stamp set beside the bottom-left ornament.

Next, I started to make my own embellishments with embossing powders using melting technique. It&#…

Winter Joy card + Video Tutorial

Hi everyone!

It's Fran here with you today with a video tutorial in which I create this festive Winter card using WOW! Fab Foils, embossing powders along with showing you how to create your own DIY embellishment (which gets the full WOW! treatment!).

I used a selection of powders on the project to alter and add some seasonal sparkle; Silver Hologram Sparkle, Vintage Peacock embossing glitter, Opaque Bright White plus my favourite Copper Fab Foil.  Stamping always gives a complete look to background areas, and on this project I added subtle snow flurry details with the mini background stamp from WOW's Let It Snow set.

Customising chipboard letters with Fab Foil is such a fun and easy way to alter and add some shine.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

Wishing you all a very Merry & Bright festive season. xxx Fran

Black Embossed Resist

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a quick  trending technique that I decided to experiment with this month that I want to create anything but a card. The technique is called Black Embossed Resist and I used a pre-fabric pillow box that is originally craft. Take a look of my project:

I love to use this kind of packages to put inside the gift cards or any small presents and since Graduation Season is coming up, I am almost ready for this, I just bought some of plain pillow boxes in a craft store and I started the decoration process to make these more special.

Creating this package was very easy !! I stamped several times one image of the stamp set Sparkle & Shine using the pigment ink Splendor Circus Collection over one side of the pillow box.I covered all the images with WOW Clear Gloss Regular Embossing Powderand I melted the powder with the Heat Tool. Then I repeated all the same processes on the other side of the pillow box.I started to apply the black in tak…

FLY - Mixed Media Artist Trading Card

Hi everyone!
Susanne writing today and I like to share this mixed media Artist Trading Card (ATC). I used the lovely "Mariposa" stamp set together with the "Funky Border Strips". I have a step by step tutorial for you:

1. Take a piece of card board and remove some of the front surface. That works easy when you wet it at first. Prime it with gesso and emboss the group of butterflies with Opaque Bright White powder.

2. Use Twinkling H2Os or other shimmering watercolors to color the background. The embossing resists the watercolor and the butterflies pop.

 3. While your card dries you'll have time to create the embellishments. I picked two of the middle sized butterflies and embossed them with Metallic Gold Rich Powder. After that I colored each butterfly with Distress Inks.

 4. Add more interest to the background with the script stamp using a permanent black ink.

 5. Use the WOW! Embossing Pen to add Iced Silver Powder into some of the creases. The…

Time to create something pretty

I live in Sweden and I don't know where you all are but here it's really hot and very nice weather at the moment. I love the summer, everything is so relaxed and we start to get some lazy habits. I have a real problem getting to the scrap room to create, I just want to lay somewhere with a good book. But when I make myself sit down to create something it comes out in all kinds of unexpected ways, like the boring part of the brain is on vacation and are not paying attention anymore. So, I sat down to create for this months post and all I could think was: It's time to create something petty... And well, that's what I did. I just grabbed a canvas saved for a moment like that and spelled the words out with some left over chipboard letters.

I used Gesso to cover the letters and then I just sprayed some random mists in pretty colors over it all. Before it was completely dry I lightly sprinkled some Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder over the whole surface and heated it t…
