Shiny Happy Card By Trish Latimer

Hello! I thought I'd challenge myself to create something totally out of my comfort zone... a clean and simple card! I think I nearly managed it....

OK, so I did do a little messy painty smearing for the panel across the middle, but there is still a big bit of white space around it, so that counts doesn't it?! I added sprinkles of black ultra high powder to the splattery details..

The theme on the blog this month is foil, so this is what I've done with my die cut word. Very difficult to capture the high shine in a picture, but this is super shiny silver in real life!

I cut the word from cardstock covered with adhesive sheet. I simply peeled away the backing paper, then pressed the foil down onto it. Such an easy way of  achieving that amazing shine!
Have a great day everyone!

Flower Power canvas!

Hello!
Trish here with my project for the fabulous Monochrome theme!
I decided to create using the classic monochrome black and white colour scheme, and made a canvas..
I love working on box canvases, as there is so much depth to decorate as well as the front! I made sure there was lots of texture on my edges...
I added interest to the front by stamping onto tissue paper, then gluing the tissue down. Once the glue dries, it becomes transparent and the design looks like it was stamped directly onto the surface...
I used the gorgeous Vintage Wallpaper stamp.
The flower was created using the triple embossing technique. I sketched out the flower shape onto chipboard, then cut it out. A thick base such as chipboard is essential when triple embossing, the weight and quantity of embossing powder you are putting on will simply warp and curl thinner cardstock!
I embossed three times using Black ultra powder, to give the depth and sheen...
To get the dotted effect, quickly sprinkle on a tiny (r…

Broken Glass technique tutorial

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here today with my Broken Glass technical tutorial.
All you need to make this broken glass look is a big background stamp , clear embossing ink and a lot of Clear embossing powders.
Step 1:
Pick your WOW Embossing Powders stamp. I picked Suzy West  French Music Background stamp.
Stamp a background stamp with permanent ink. I used black Memento, but any permanent ink will do the job. Please, not any kind of pigmented ink as it will be a mess after the first heat embossing step, unless you want to heat the stamped background a lot before the next step.

Step 2:
Cover the entire  stamped piece with  Clear embossing ink  and add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Ultra High  embossing powder. Heat it and add 2-3 more layers of the same powder.  Cool it and add more clear ink all over. Now add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Super  Fine embossing powder and heat it again. Make it 2-3 more times with the fine powder. The fine powder should cover  some spaces tha…
