Showing posts with the label gold glitter
Hi WOW's fan. This is Laurence (laury55) today to show you my box to inspire you for the current challenge. Even if you still have time till Christmas, you may already start preparing your Christmas cards and have a box ready for your presents. I love preparing cookies in December and they will fit perfectly in my box. I first added corrugated cardstock covered with gesso. I cut out stars in different sizes, added sewing on the larger one, and covered the smaller ones with Metallic Gold sparkle for a glittering effect. The sentiment from the Let it snow sheet is stamped and heat embossed with Metallic Gold rich. I added some sewing threads before gluing everything on the corrugated cardstock. I hope you will play along our challenge!

Be Happy: Mixed Media canvas with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is my small, card size, canvas made forWOW! Embossing powders November new monthly challenge and it's very easy one: make Mixed Media piece! Anything with embossing powders and Mixed Media is great.
So here is my " piece of art": flat as a journal page, made with a few Tando Creative masks, few WOW! Embossing powders stamps as the background and a lot of WOW! POWDERS.

The next step was clear embossing VersaMark  ink and Canvas  stamp and heat embossing with Ebony black powder and I made a kind of a frame around the canvas.
As the next step I added a bit of texture paste over the  girl's hair and heat embossed it  withPearl Goldpowder.

Then I added two heat embossed corners with Metallic Gold Sparkle powder.
The piece was still very " empty" so…

My notes in Monochrom

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here again  with a small tutorial and  quite a big project. This time I am going to show you a bit of technique I used to make this altered book cover for my new art/memory journal.  The chipboard parts are Tando Creative kit- easy to use and to made your own  altered book. And this is a technique I used here: combo of stamping, heat embossing and painting , all in one. Step 1: Stamp a pattern over metallic  cardstock. (It works over real metal sheets too, but I was short of those).
Step 2: Heat emboss your stamped patterns withClear embossingpowder

Step 3: Paint the embossed cardstock with a mix of gold, copper and black acrylic paints. As you can see I use the cheap, craft store paints and not those fancy acid free paints for this cover. Wipe the paint until you have a thin layer  of it left over the stamped image and you like the color. If not- add more of the  paint you want to be seen .

Step 4 and the last: Those 4 squares here  were made just a…
