WOW Spring Has Arrived!

Hello crafty friends, I hope you're all well and are enjoying a little bit of Spring weather! It's a bit cold and grey here on the Isle of Wight but that hasn't stopped me feeling inspired to make my Spring inspiration card.

I started by stamping several twine circles from the Hearts and Twine stamp on scrap card, cutting out and attaching down the left hand side of a piece of white card to create masked areas. I then used the Hearts and Twine and Wall Art Stamps in the background and used Avocado and Opaque Bright White Embossing Powders.

I then spritzed the card with water and applied Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks with a scrunched up baby wipe leaving some areas white then left to dry.

Once dry I then peeled off the masks,  stamped in the white gaps and used British Summer Time Embossing Powder. I used the same on the sentiment and on the stems which  I created using an embossing pen. I finally added some extra colour and sparkle with Sweets Cheeks…

One Stamp 3 Ways Mini Canvas Topper Trio

Morning everyone! It's Fran here with you today and I hope you are all in fine fettle.

I hope you are all in fine fettle. Today's offering for you today is once again in miniture form - yes I'm addicted teeny tiny pixie projects!

These are a set of mini canvases which I've had in my stash for a good long while which I decided to use as card toppers. In keeping with this month's blog feature I had used one stamp three ways, with my chosen one coming from the Pick 'n Mix set.
Do you recognise which one it is?  For the first topper I prepared the background with gesso and paint, then stamped the circular stamped randomly with black ink. I added die cut chipboard on top to create depth and filled the recesses in with embossing powder (Mandarin, Black Ebony and Clear Gloss), using glass beads for texture. I have a bit of a thing for skulls and adore this wooden cut from Alter This which I pimped up with gesso, fine liner pens and more micro beads.

Floral Inspiration

Good morning everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the summer! I wanted to share a summery card today which is my inspiration for this month's floral challenge. I started by using the Tropical Stamp down the left hand side of white card which I embossed with Opaque Bright White powder. I then gently applied distress ink over the top with a dabber to reveal the pattern.

For the 3D flowers I used the Secret Garden stamp which a embossed with Blueberry Cheesecake Embossing Powder. I then cut out individual flowers, shaped with my fingers and added pretty gems in the centres.

The sentiment is from the Just Saying stamp set which I've embossed with my favourite colour at the moment, British Summer.
I hope this has given you a few ideas, there's still two days to join in the challenge, why not have a go? I can't wait to see what you make.
Have a great day! Sarah xxx
