1 Background Layer, 2 Cards

Hi! Nicole here and I am back with a brand new tutorial share - creating 2 cards from a 1 cardstock piece. This month theme is "garden" - when I think of flowers, I usually think of weddings. And weddings means lots of shimmer. So even though my inspiration started from our monthly theme, my results were totally different. :)

I wanted to show off an awesome embossed background layer and decided to maximize my paper and create 2 cards. This is super easy, anyone can do it! Check out the video tutorial below to see how these cards come to life.

First card I am sharing is perfect for wedding, anniversary, golden/silver birthdays, or any occasions that call for elegant looks. Simply changed the sentiment that goes in the circle part of the card and you are good to go! I wanted a subtle, shimmer background for my cards today, so I chose one of my favorite WOW embossing powers - Metallic Platinum. It has a nice combination of gold and silver and I thought it would go really well …

Thanks

The theme this month is Family and I wanted to extend it beyond the normal ideal of family.... to me family is not only the family that you were born into, but also the friends you make as the family you create for yourself - and then for me, there is the additional family in the crafting world - our crafting family...
So I got to thinking about how I could show off some WOW! products while creating a project that included all of the above!
And it came to me at 2am this morning!
This what I wanted to create......

I have created a thank you card...... to say thank you to all my friends and family for all the support they have given me, thank you to WOW! for giving me such wonderful product to work with over the past year and a massive thank you to all of you..... thank you for playing along with the challenges, thank you for stopping by my own blog too to see what I have been up to and for leaving me lovely comments.... and thank you to you all for the inspiration that you all give to …

Our last post of 2012

WOW... what a year!
I am so lucky to be bringing you the last DT project of 2012......
Thank you all so much for joining us this year and for playing along with our challenges. We have loved seeing all of the wonderful things that you have created, you really are a talented bunch you know!

For my last cards of the year I thought I would make you all a thank you card......
This is what I came up with......
And a little close up for you.....
I also made a little tag to go with it.....

I adore these papers from WOW! They have the embossing already on them, so all you need to do is add the ink and then wipe..... (The ink will only stay on the card without the embossed details)..
The paper comes in different designs and can be found here....

So, come back and join us for lots of fun and exciting things in 2013 - lots of new challenges and lots of things to show you all with all the wonderful products from WOW!.

Have a very happy Hogmany and all the best for a fantastic 2013 -

Happy New …

Thank you

To create this card I used one of my favourite sets of stamps - Gratitude [writes Nikki Smith].
I just love the simple clean images that can be used for so many things.

This is the card I made,

I used the white puff powder. I adore puff powders - they remind me of being a child and getting to create puff paint t-shirts!
I love the way the puff powders give a softer edging to your stamped image.
Here are a few close ups for you - look at how puffy the powder goes..... just like magic!

We would love to see the wonderful things that you are creating - make sure you leave us a comment or link so that we can pop on over to your blog and visit you.

Thank You Card

I'm soooo excited! I've been allowed to break the press embargo on information about the new products  being released at Hobbycrafts exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham starting on 8th November. The reason I'm particularly excited is that one of them is the 'NB Canvas' clear stamp - which is my own design! The other new product featured today is the new Melt-It powder!

You will need:
- WOW! White Puff
- WOW! Bright White (Regular)
- WOW! Bright White (Super Fine)
- WOW! Melt-it Powder
- WOW! NB Canvas clear stamp
- WOW! Gratitude clear stamp set
- WOW! Flower mould
- Disposable foil pie dish for melting powder in
- Heat gun
- kraft card stock (image shows 7"x5" card)
- low-tack masking tape or Post-it note for masking

To make the card:
Start by making the mask for the middle of the card: stick down the 'Thanks' and gratitude sentiment from the WOW! Gratitude clear stamp set onto an acrylic block. Ink it up and print it onto a piece of low tack masking…

A new take on the bunting theme?!

Hello, It's Sarah here. I have created a card this month for this month's Wow 'Thank You' theme.

I started by taking the triple heart stamp from the Wow Gratitude Stamp Set and stamped a few times onto heat resistant acetate. Sprinkled with Wow Brass Embossing Powder and carefully heated. I cut these out (leaving a slight border) and then added a punched hole to the top.

I threaded these acetate embellishments onto a strip of navy grosgrain ribbon.

I stamped and embossed 'thank you' in the top left of the square card and stamped and embossed a strip of the hearts in the centre of the bottom of the card. I used Wow Earthtone Blueberry Embossing Powder to compliment the brass colour. The colours worked perfectly together for a thank you card for a male.

Here is the finished effect. I hope that you like it.

A Little Bit of Vintage...

Good Morning!  It's Jamie back with you today sharing what has become one of my favorite cards.!  Now, before I begin I should tell you that I am not so great with vintage'y things.  I have tried and failed ...miserably...many, many times! :)
When I received the Vintage 1928 Stamp Set from WOW Embossing Powders, I just loved the images and knew I would have to try again!
Just have a look...aren't they amazing!?

I used the chair, the roses (the one on the top left with the box), and the key from the Vintage 1928 set and then the Thank You sentiment from the Gratitude set...and I kept it simple.
I started off by adding the sentiment to the front of the card in black ink

and then added the chair above it, centering.

I stamped the chair again on another piece of cardstock with Embossing Ink and then covered it with Angel Wings Embossing Glitter!

I removed the excess glitter onto a piece of scrap paper and poured it back into the original jar for storage.
Once you have the powder r…
