Same Stamp Two Ways on One Page!

I have a project to share with you today using one stamp two different ways! I chose the "ME Blizzard" stamp for this layout because it matched the super cute photo of our Granddaughter playing in the snow! Here are the products that I used:

Clear Gloss Super Fine, Primary Sunset Orange, Primary Chartreusse, Bubble Gum and ME Blizzard stamp.
and here is my layout!
Here are a few close-ups. I used two techniques with the same colors. I used resist embossing, First I embossed a stamped image in three colors for the first technique. Then I used the Clear Ultra Fine powder on ivory cardstock, then inked on top with inkpads that matched the colors of the embossing powder that I used.

Here you see close-ups of the two different techniques in each color. Here the embossing powder is on the left and the resist with ink on the right.

In the bottom two here the resist is on the left.

Family Layout with WOW

Hi this is Jenifer here with my family project.  I did a fun messy layout of my family to give you an idea of how fun and messy Wow can be.   Step 1:  Using the funky boarder strip stamp and the clear gloss super fine embossing powder stamp on the dots.  This will be your first layer.  Heat set. Step 2:  Using some sprays or even some water color paint over the embossed dots.  The embossed dots act as a resist and the fun colors will make them POP. Step 3:  Layer!! Layer!! Layer :)  first I did the thread then I dug into my scrap bin and put together some flags along the bottom of my picture.  The fun scallop along the bottom of my picture is a doily that I cut apart.  Step 4:  When everything is adhered in place attach some flowers and a WOW flower center.  I used opaque pastel blue and cotton candy with the Melt it and got this fun swirl effect.  Last but not least I wrote family in the bottom corner with a WoW pen and ebony embossing powder to complete my page.
I hope you have enj…

Designer Bracelets with Wow

My daughter and I were looking through a Restoration Hardware catalog and we came across these simple bracelets that sold for about 50$ each.  Well the cost was definitely high for a 10 year old but I knew we could produce something similar for a fraction of the price.  I gathered my supplies some suede string from May Arts, some jump rings, a piece of paper (punched into a 1/2" circle) and of course some WOW embossing powders.  We used Bodacious Blue, Presidio Purple, Clear Gloss and Metallic Silver.
Step 1:  take your circle and pierce a small hole at the top and run your jump ring through it, this makes it easier to hold on to while embossing.  I put 3 layers of power on it and then sealed it with a layer of clear.  For the "m" one I stamped it quickly while it was still hot.  Last step is to run your suede string through the jump ring and then tie around your wrist.  We made 3 bracelets in about 10 minutes.  The lengths of suede are about 20" and that way they c…

1890 Hat

Hello, WOW fans! Anne here with a greeting card I made using my favorite of all the WOW Embossing Powders, Metallic Gold Rich Pale Regular. As my focal point, I used a lovely digi stamp created by Rick St. Dennis. Being completely enamored of turn-of-the-century fashion, I knew I had to color this image the moment I saw it. You know how some images or colors or designs just speak to you? Well, this was one of those things for me. If there is anything I love as much as heat embossing on my projects, it's coloring with alcohol inks.

Anyway, I'd like to share this little card with you today. As you can see, I used the gold embossing powder on my greeting but I also used the WOW Embossing Pen on the flower shapes around the frame to color them gold as well as the earrings and brooch, which on which I used the Clear Gloss Super Fine Embossing Powder to give them the look of crystal and onyx. In addition, I pressed the edges of the image, which I die cut with a Spellbinders die, into…

Broken Glass technique tutorial

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here today with my Broken Glass technical tutorial.
All you need to make this broken glass look is a big background stamp , clear embossing ink and a lot of Clear embossing powders.
Step 1:
Pick your WOW Embossing Powders stamp. I picked Suzy West  French Music Background stamp.
Stamp a background stamp with permanent ink. I used black Memento, but any permanent ink will do the job. Please, not any kind of pigmented ink as it will be a mess after the first heat embossing step, unless you want to heat the stamped background a lot before the next step.

Step 2:
Cover the entire  stamped piece with  Clear embossing ink  and add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Ultra High  embossing powder. Heat it and add 2-3 more layers of the same powder.  Cool it and add more clear ink all over. Now add a thick layer of  Clear Gloss Super  Fine embossing powder and heat it again. Make it 2-3 more times with the fine powder. The fine powder should cover  some spaces tha…

Create your own resist paper

Hi Jenifer here with you today to share a fun layout and technique with you.  Have you seen all the cool resist papers out there lately, they are so fun.  Well I live out in the middle of nowhere and sometimes they can be a little hard to find. So I decided to make some of my own.

Step 1: Decide what you want your resist pattern to be.  I chose to create some circles. Step 2:  Using the Wow Embossing Pen I made my Circles then used the Clear Gloss Super fine embossing powder. Step 3:  I first used some glimmer mist then I dabbed on some paints when it was all dry I went over everything with some Glimmer dust from Therm O Web to give it some iridescent shine
You can see the glitter in this picture.  I added my journaling in the bubbles to make it fun
Supplies: Wow Embossing Pen Wow Clear Gloss Super fine embossing powder Gimmer Dust-Therm O Web Ribbons-May Arts Alphabet Muse Stickers-My Little Shoebox Thank you so much for looking at my layout today, make sure you come back soon for some more in…

First up is Jen Matott!
Here is what she says about her amazing banner! "I created a mixed media banner using Basically Bare's Oh So Mini albums that were released this month.I love the different materials that they are made from and how the stamps and embossing powders work on them! I used many items to create this banner.
This cardboard piece was created with a brick template and VersaMark with WOW Embossing powders mixed and layered. I started with Cable Car Red and then layered Black Glint and some Copper. I then added the "Journey" Stamp and embossed with Bright White. The dots are Gelatos through a stencil and then dripped some Gelatos mixed wi…

Resist With WOW Embossing Powders and Ink

Hello all,  well I'm back home now which is awesome, but I must say I had the best time away.  I learnt so much from the Tim Holtz educators course.  Today I am going to share a technique that I use often.  Working with Embossing Powders as a  resist and then adding inks to bring it out.  You can use other products such as chalk if you don't own any inks.   Here we go. Get together some embossing powder, I have used WOW Embossing Powder Clear Gloss Super Fine for this project. Stamps, I have used the Gratitude stamp set from WOW, clear Versa Mark, Distress Stain, a mixture of colored inks, I love my distress inks and have used Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, Broken China and Vintage Photo.  You will need a heat gun, some water and a damp cloth.  A non stick, heat resistant craft mat and card to work on.  Start by stamping on your card with Versa Mark. Remember to refresh Versa Mark after each stamp.  My stamp is black in the photo as I like to prime my stamps with a pigment ink,  one …
