Snowflakes with Frau Pony

Hello!
It's me again, Martina aka Frau Pony sharing my next project with you as WOW Creative Guest!
Since winter is just around the corner, I am in the mood for snowflakes and a bit frosty projects as todays card will be.

As I always do, I have gathered all materials I am planning to use before I start:
When I am stamping with big background stamps as this Alexandra Renke one is, I am always using my Misti.
I also always use an anti static tool on my paper before stamping on it with the WOW! Ultra Slow drying Embossing Pad to make sure that my image gets as crisp as possible.
I have used "British Summer" to heat emboss my snowflakes in the background.
To add something extra to my die cut Alexandra Renke snowflakes, I have heat embossed them with "Seafoam White".
I just love that creamy white color that has this beautiful texture after heat setting.

To add a bit of sparkle to my card, I have embossed a Alexandra Renke "for you" die cut and one of her little snowflakes with "Metallic Silver Sparkle".
Adding a bit of grey thread, I have glued my snowflakes onto the card.
When gluing them down, I only added glue to the center of the snowflakes. Like this, the stars can be bent up a little which gives the card a nice, dimensional finish.
I hope you liked watching my process!
Have a wonderful day!

Fireworks Celebration with Gemma

Fireworks always look beautiful as embossed images on a dark background and they are perfect for celebration cards. For my card today, I used the theme of gold and silver to create an embossed stencil background.

I began with a piece of light purple cardstock, then blended on distress oxide ink in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I used my heat tool to dry the ink on the panel so it was ready for embossing.

Next, I inked over the panel with clear embossing ink and the Pretty Pink Posh Fireworks stencil. I first sprinkled some of the Metallic Silver embossing powder in areas of the embossing ink. I removed the excess, then covered the rest of the embossing ink with Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder before heat setting. This gives a nice mix of gold and silver fireworks, although I'd probably add a little more silver next time so it was more of a contrast.

I adhered the panel to my card base, then added the Pretty Pink Posh Celebrate Shaker die cut on top. I layered three of the die cuts together to get a stacked sentiment.

To finish, I added the wine glasses image from the Pretty Pink Posh Happy New Year stamp set.

Have a lovely day,

Gemma

Sparkles with Frau Pony

Hello Everyone!

Martina here again with you.

Today it's all about the WOW Sparkles - and I have a little YT video for you.
You can watch me creating these two cards on my Youtube channel - *here* is the link

I absolutely love using the beautiful WOW Sparkles for my cardmaking projects!

I usually use it with stencils and the "Tacky when Dry" Medium from TCW.

It is super easy to use:
I apply it through an (Alexandra Renke) stencil with a pallet knife, remove (and rinse!) the stencil and set it aside to dry completely.

After everything is dried, I simply pour my Sparkles over the surface, make them a bit more stick with pressing/rubbing the Sparkles into the glueing parts and finally removing excess Sparkles with a brush.

For my two example cards I have been using WOW Sparkles in "Santorini" and "Frosted Petals"
In my experience, the finer the particles are, the more of these sparkly bits and pieces stick to the stencilled parts.

To finish the cards, I have been using Alexandra Renke Stamps and Dies, Distress Oxide and WOW Clear Matt Dull Embossing Powder on the stamped characters.

I hope you are inspired to get sparkly today!
Have a wonderful day!
Martina
