Heat Embossing Pastel Backgrounds with Jenny

Hello everyone, Jenny here and in keeping with our pastels theme this month (check out the WOW! Embossing Fans facebook page to take part in our monthly challenges!) I have created three pastel colored backgrounds with different mediums, all of which I have heat embossed on for the focal image.

I have a video to share showing you how I created all of these cards over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel:

My first card uses watercolor to create the pastel background.   I used handmade watercolor paper, and heat embossed the Catherine Pooler Cottage Garden background stamp (after using my powder tool) in WOW! Embossing Opaque Vanilla White embossing powder.  I'm enjoying using the different white embossing powders WOW! has and I'll be showing you another one in an upcoming post.   They are ever so slightly tinted - although it's hard to tell in the photo, this one is just like Vanilla Ice Cream!

To watercolor my background, I used Distress Inks in pastel colors - Shaded Lil…

Winter Hopes

Hi Everyone

This month at WOW HQ is 'Winter' and I have designed a card for the New Year in a blue theme.

I have used a 6 x 6 card and started by inking up some of the butterfly resist paper with distress inks.  I then cut this to cover half of the card.

I then used a stamp from Sparkle and Shine, stamped this out multiple times onto blue coloured card stock and heat embossed with Atlantic Seaspray embossing powder. I then punched out circles around the stamp and cut the embossed circle in half.  I then glued the half circles onto the bottom half of the card.

I then used a bow around the middle of the card to cover the division between circles and butterflies.

I then die cut a Spellbinder scallop circle out of dark blue card then stamped with Versamark the words
for - then - now - & - tomorrow from the 'Express Yourself' stamp set, heat setting with Vanilla White embossing powder.

I wish you all a lovely New Year and hope that all your dreams come true.

Blog Hop with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Day 4!

Hello our dear crafty friends and welcome to Day 4 Blog Hop with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L! Our design team has been playing with their products and discovering inventive ways to use them with Wow! Embossing Powders!

Please leave our design team some love in the comments section below and you just might win some goodies from both our companies!
This is Irit here and this is my project made for the hop: Follow your dreams Mixed Media art piece.

The whole project today was an experiment as I never used so much adhesives combined with embossing powders and some of the effects are cool, some are hard to make and some were just impossible  and not even added to this piece.

Look at this texture made with layers of paints, dies, glues and powders:

You can see the more detailed explanation in myblog post.
I used a whole bunch of products from both WOW! Embossing powders and 3L company.

Same stamp- 4 ways

Hello my dear crafty friends !
This is my monthly post for WOW! Embossing Powders blog and this month we challenge YOU (and ourselves ) to make three different projects with the very same WOW! stamp (and a lot of WOW! Embossing Powders).
So here is my take of this challenge.

And as got a lot of MOJO , I  made not three , but four cards with the same stamp and totally different techniques. But wait! All cards  can be made in like 15 minutes and this is the best part of the crafting when you are out of time.
I need to  say that it took me much more than those 15 minutes, but it was because I had no clue about the technique I am going to use or the final result of this technique. So I just tried a lot and then , when I made a final cards for this post, it was certain that 15 minutes for each card are sufficient.
I used the same  Blizzard stamp  for all 4 cards and two different sets of sentiments to add the sentiment.
I made all 4 cards the same way: one stamped image with " this or…

My favourite things

Hello all, Nataliya is here!
I have long wondered what I love the most. But have not decided :)
So I'll tell you about a few of my favourite things:
- embossing glitter
- metallic powder
- making background
And, of course, I love butterflies :)

In this card I used a lot of WOW! EP :)
First of all, Red Metalline for the base and chipboard frame;
Vanilla White for an inscription;
Vintage Romance & Melt-It! Powder for dots;
Vintage Candy Cane to create a background;and Collage stamp for the tag.

And some tips for you, about how I made this background :)
Step1 - blots

Step2 - masking

Step3 - sprinkle the powder

Step4 - stamping

Step5 - more blots with another color

Have a good day with your favorite things :)

Follow your Dreams Layout

Hi Wow fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share my monochrome layout with you.  I chose to do different shades and textures of white.
I love the look of white on white, there really are many varying shades.  I stamped the De-Vine stamp on a piece of vellum and then layered it with a doily and thread.  The beautiful Large Rose from the Wow Mould is one of my favorites and don't be suprised to see it show up on everything.  Lastly add some sequins and a little strip of doily along the top and you are done.
Thank you so much for taking a look at my layout today :)  Make sure you stop by for more inspiration and participate in this months challenge for a wonderful prize.

Delicate Flower Garden Layout

This is Jenifer here with you today to share my Garden project with you.  I love flowers and take tons of pictures of them but I don't scrap or use them very often.  I have been looking forward to this months garden theme for awhile now, and I am so happy with how my layout turned out.  I just can't get enough of the Moulds and I could use them on everything, this layout is no exception.  I have a few of the flowers and roses grouped with some ribbon and vellum flowers throughout the page.  I hope you are playing along with our garden challenge and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Love card -WOW style

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today to share my Antique project.  I am blown away by all of the wonderful projects that everyone has come up with for this months challenge.  Well done!!.  I had a bit of a hard time with it, Antique, vintage and shabby just kind of blend together for me.  I think my card turned out a bit more on the shabby side :)
I embossed with the De-Vine stamp and some vanilla white on a plain piece of white card stock, I then sprayed it with some pink color spray.  I thought that the pink was a bit to bright so I then white washed it with some white acrylic paint to mute it a bit.  After that I spread on some texture paste to give it a bit more dimension.  I then started layering my doilies, flowers and some fun flowers and frames from moulds using some Wow Melt-it and a mixture of Pastel Pink and Metallic Pink powders.  I'm not sure if it's Antique but I love this card non the less.
Here is a close up of some of the layers.
