LOTS OF HUGS

Hi everyone, this is Martha Lucia here and I am excited to share with you my first official post in WOW blog! The embossing powders have always been one of the my best friends in my creations and techniques. Today I want to share a card that I made using watercolor and WOW Opaque Bright White Regular Embossing Powder and two of the new WOW Embossing Stamps.

To make this card I used watercolor paper and I stamped over it the new Secret Garden WOW Stamp for Embossing using WOW Embossing Pad covered with WOW Opaque Bright White Regular Embossing Powder. Then I melted the powder with the Heat Tool. I colored each flower using a combination of distress ink applied with an aqua painter.

For the general background I applied the distress ink directly with a blending tool and then I sprayed it with water, before pasting this layer to the card base and adding the sentiment that I stamped using the same WOW Opaque Bright White Regular Embossing Powder. This time, I stamped a sentiment from the n…

Glitter resist tutorial

Hello!  Jen Roach and today I have an embossing resist tutorial to share with you today using the WOW! Ultra Shimmer Embossing glitter and the Flowers backgrounder stamp.  So let's get started.....

First I printed out some dictionary text digital paper onto some cardstock and stamped the Flowers backgrounder onto it with Versamark ink.

Then I heat embossed with WOW! Ultra Shimmer Embossing glitter.

Next I took some Ranger Distress inks in blue and teal tones and applied all over the surface with a blending tool.  Start with the lighter tones and then apply the darker until you achieve the look you're going for.

Here's a close up of the finished image panel.  As you can see the glitter embossing powder works really well for the resist technique.

To create the finished card I trimmed my image panel, matted onto some white scalloped cardstock and then embellished with some lace, ribbon and flowers.

Create your own easy Pin Stripes

Hi everyone! Amy Prior here today to share a fabulous and easy little tutorial on how to make your own Pin Striped backgrounds. Best thing about stripes is they never seem to go out of fashion!!!!

Today I am going to create a card and although I am starting off with this amazing fun 6x6 paper from Prima, I am actually going to create my own background using this baby as a base. First off you will need some Double Sided Tape in any size you like. I decided to use 3 different sizes here.

Rip off pieces of the Double Sided Tape and place them on your page to make stripes. You can do them as close or as far apart as you like and you can do any pattern you like if you are using more than 1 thickness.

Once the Double Sided Tape is all adhered, trim off the excess using your craft knife or a pair of scissors. I found this step easier by flipping it all upside down and using my craft knife carefully.

Next step of course is to remove the backing off the tape. My girls helped with this part LOL t…

LOVE

Hi All!! So glad you stopped by today to visit the WOW! blog.

Today I am going to share with you a card I made that can be given really to just about anyone special in your life that you love. The color of the background is totally up to you and can easily be changed depending on if you wanted to give this to a male or female. For this card I used Bubble Gum Embossing Powder from the Suzy West Candy Counter Collection, and Opaque Bright White and Gold Rich Embossing Powders from the WOW! Collection. I also used the Suzy West "Gratitude" Stamp Set to make the hearts.

So I started out by using a piece of bubble wrap that I inked up with embossing ink and then pressed onto my white cardstock. I then sprinkled it with the Bubble Gum Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess, and then heated it up.

Next I stamped out four sets of hearts from the Gratitude Stamp Set on black cardstock, and colored them by making two Opaque Bright White and two Gold Rich. I then cut out the hearts and a…

WOW Embossing Powders = WOW Projects!

Hi everybody!!! Amy Prior here today to share some recent creations using fabulous WOW Embossing Powders. I love WOW powders mainly because they are so easy to add the perfect touches to any project and without too much fuss or effort if that is what I am going for. Checkout these projects featuring small WOW details that help take these projects from Good to WOW! hehe yes I am a dork who likes play on words.....
First up is a fabulous card that would warm the coldest of hearts on any occassion. At first glance, the WOW powder may not be as obvious however the Chipboard words have been coated with a layer of one of my faves, Suzy West Bubblegum Pink, and the beautiful Handmade Halo Resin Flower in the centre of my "sun" was originally a pretty shade of peach. Peach just didn't work perfectly so a quick coat of Suzy West California Sunshine and we are back in business! How cool is this card and it honestly was such a quickie for me! The longest part was waiting for the Hel…

Celebrate!!!

Jen Matott here to CELEBRATE our national holiday with a patriotic card I made using Suzy's stamps and powders from WOW!   I love the "Call Me stamp set with it's star/ text stamp.  This became the base for my card design.  I absolutely love this text stamp!  I stamped it on white cardstock with VersaMark ink.  Then applied Cable Car Red first, Bright White next, and Bay Area Blue last.  I love the stripped effect it gave.   Then, I inked a doily and sprinkled the Platinum Sparkle over it.  I was thinking "fireworks" with this!  It has a silver shimmer that reminds me of the fireworks we just saw this weekend!  I stamped the frame from "Simply Amazing" set on white cardstock next and used the Platinum Sparkle again.  Then I used a Celebrate sentiment stamp that I had and used Black Glint on it.  The letters were chipboard and used the same powders as the text stamped image.  They are so bright on the white chipboard!  Here's a close up of the doily, sta…

Thank you card and a lot of embossing

Hello, my dear crafty friends! Iritis here today and this time I am going to show you my new and very much embossed card.
For a long 4-5 month I was doing scrapbooking pages and altered projects for this  blog and this month was my turn to make a card. So I made one and then I decided to enter it to the web magazine and they  took it for the publication.Good news and bad news. As this card can't be posted here till August and I had to make another card for this post.
So here is the new card-summer colors, but in a kind of a muter way.
I very simple card made for WOW Embossing Powders blog post.

I used this Flowers Wow stamp and then heat embossed it with 4 summery embossing powders: Sour Lemon, Whirly Pop, Gummy Bear Green, Cotton Candy
My  tip here is to use a white pigment ink and not a Clear embossing one as I really want to see that the whole stamp will be shown. The second tip is  to put your cardstock on the top of your inked stamp and to use some roller  to get better impression…

Some summer cards with WOW!

Hello!  Jen Roach here and today I have a few summer themed cards to share with you.

I created some embossed cloud circles using an embossing folder (from Darice) and Suzy West Candy Counter collection Cotton Candy WOW! Embossing Powder.  On the card with the pin wheel accent I also added some Suzy West Candy Counter collection Sour Lemon powder around the outside of the die cut.

Here's a closer look at the Happy Days card  I added a few felt die cut clouds to add some more texture.

Here's a close up of the double embossed cloud panel.  As you can see I have a bit of a stippled effect with the blue embossing powder which adds more texture to the card.

For card two, I embossed my background paper with an embossing folder before attaching the double embossed cloud circle.

And here's another close up look at the heat embossed panel.

Hope you enjoyed my set of summer cards.

Thank you so very much by Sesil Cratin

I had so much fun using the "Gratitude" stamp set.  I was able to create a 3D flower by stamping and cutting out  three sets of the flower petals then layering on top of each other.  I used the border stamp along either side of the card to give it a little frame around the entire card.  I was able to use the Suzy West - Serra Sunrise Embossing Glitter to pull all the colors together on the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think of the great WOW! Embossing Powders and stamps.  Hope you have an inspired day!
