Wish upon a star

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here with this month challenge and it's STARS AND STRIPES.

I know, stars and stripes are usually this American flag things, but as I am not an American, I just made a lovely small arch deco with red, black and gold colours and a lot of WOW! Embossing powders.
This is an easy and well known technique of making stripes with double sided glue tapes and the only thing it takes is time.
Just begin from the lower corner, add a small glue strip, fill with WOW! powder and heat emboss it. Then cover the already embossed stripe with a piece of paper, glue another glue strip over it and.. You sure understand the technique.
The stars (and the basic arch shape ) are from Tando Creative UK chipboards and heat embossed with a mix of gold and glitter WOW!powders.
The separate arch frame was also heat embossed with Ebony Black  powder and then the central striped piece was inserted into it.
Some bling touches (FWAB) and this piece was done.

Now it's your …

Nature in technicolor (or with a lot of WOW! glitters)

Hello my dear crafty friends ! Irit is here again and this time with my full of glitters Nature project.

My new altered Mixed Media project made  with Wow! Embossing powders stamps and powders and Tando Creative chipboards.

First I stamped the background with WOW! Collage stamp and heat embossed with Black Glintpowder. Then I used gesso and Tando  mask for the orange- pink spots over the stamping. I added Peach Gleam glitter powder over the wet gesso and heat embossed it till is was dry.
I stamped some inspirational words from this gorgeous stamp set randomly (not much seen now) and misted the whole piece with a lot of Ranger mists.

The chipboard Gate Tando piece was covered with  White Puff Twinkle embossing  Glitter powder randomly, as I didn't want the perfect covered look.
Then I cut the gate into 2 halves and glued it over the stamped piece.
3 more words were added on the upper right corner with permanent black ink.
Then I added a thin layer of Lime Light  Glitter powder over…

Life is beautiful (even in 3d recycling )

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this time with my new recycled 3d project.

This altered project was just a wooden base with a hole that I found at home, a 10 cent kids plastic magnifying glass and a fantastic A2Z Scraplets title (it's the little things). From all of those I made  this lovely altered art piece, but it couldn't  be done without those gorgeous WOW! Embossing Powders  that  I used over it.

The wooden base was covered with Glitz paper layers . The title was inked, clear embossed with Clear  Gloss Regularembossing  powder , layer after layer to make it glossy and glass look and then I made a random stamping over it.

Wow embossing  Metallic Copper powder was  the main coverage of the plastic glass. Easy to make : just add some Watermark embossing ink randomly over it , spread the powder and heat it. Nothing happens to plastic, believe me.  Then I added some Tim Holtz Picket fence  crackled paint  over my
embossed Copper powder and  PastelBlue embossing …
