You Were Born to Sparkle by Dana

Hello, WOW! friends!

It's Dana here and I'd like to share simple vellum shaker card with you today.

To start, I stamped WOW! Blossom stamp onto vellum with WOW! Embossing Pad. I heat embossed it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich using WOW! Dual Speed Heat Tool.

I then die cut scallop frame from white card stock and trimmed down another white card stock in frame size for background. I glued vellum with frame and added foam adhesive.

I mounted white card stock onto A2 sized teal paper and put some sequins. I then peeled off protective sheet from foam tape and mounted it onto background. Unfortunately, sequins are not shown well in the pic, but its sounds are really nice :)

For sentiment, I silver heat embossed it from WOW! Born to Sparkle Stamp Set with WOW! Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder onto black card stock.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!

Three ways to use heat embossed vellum

Hello, it's Verity with another video and blog post as a Creative team member for WOW! Don't you just love the look of heat embossing on vellum? It can add such a lovely soft feel to the card and looks elegant with any design.  Today I have 3 ways to use heat embossed vellum on your cards and can be used with a whole host of embossing powders colours and used for any occasion. The only limitation to this technique is your imagination, so make sure you play and experiment! Three ways to use heat embossing on vellum in card designs video: v

Dream: By Trish

Hello! A summery, happy bright project from me today!

I stamped the butterflies onto vellum, then embossed with Bright White Embossing powder. I really love how the white stands out!

The butterflies were put to one side whilst I created the background. This was done by smearing and smudging yellow, green, blue and red paint onto a wooden panel. I also added my favourite detail, splattered dots! This was done by spritzing the whole background with water, then sprinkling a tiny pinch of Ultra High Ebony Black powder over it. The water creates just enough 'stick' so the granules don't get blown away when you point the heat gun at them! The water then, of course, simply dries away whilst you emboss!

Remember though, only spritz water onto your background if you have used some kind of permanent colour... I've used acrylic paint. Water based inks will bleed and run! I used a wooden word as my finishing touch. This was coloured black, then embossed with Ebony Black powder to give …
