Born to Sparkle |Fab Foil with Dana

Happy Saturday, everyone!

It's Dana here and I'd like to share another *Foils* inspiration the theme of this month.

To start off, I stamped WOW! Blossom Stamp Set onto A2 sized white card stock with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink Pad. I then sprinkled WOW! Bonding Powder and heat embossed the image using WOW! Dual Speed Heat Tool.

I then pulled out WOW! Fab Foil Silver, Ice Blue and Teal. As a heat embossed images were dried, I partially heat set them again and rubbed each foils with my fingers.

After foiling, I splattered watercolor paint with clean water here and there. I then trimmed down kraft paper and stamped sentiment from WOW! Born to Sparkle Stamp Set.

To finish off, I foam mounted kraft panels as shown in the picture.
Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!

Layering Embossing Powders to Create Dimension

Hi Everyone!

It's Jenny from the Creative Team here and today I'm joining you to share two card projects which use layering dies and layering stamps with embossing powder to create gorgeous shine and dimension.

You can check out the creative process over on the WOW! YouTube channel or here:

I love layering stamps - but I'd never tried them with embossing powder except as a highlight layer.  The new WOW! trios really excited me and I got the idea for these cards because some of the hard work is taken out of working out which colours to go for with the trios.  They're perfect complementary colors that go great together (either tones or combos) and super for this technique.

For my first card I used the Aquatini Trio which includes Curacao and Splash embossing powders and a glitter.  I only used the embossing powders for my first card, and I supplemented them with Cloud 9 for the middle layers, Seaglass for the lightest layer, and Sparkling Snow for the centre.   I heat e…

Ombre Sentiment Embossing with Jenny

Hi Everyone!  It's Jenny here, and today I have a video for you that shows you two techniques - embossing with stencils, and create ombre effects with embossing powder.

I absolutely love the ombre effects you can get with ink blending or watercolor, but it's a little more tricky with embossing powder if you're trying get a nice blend without that harsh line between colours. I show you a simple tip to fix that, and the best thing about it is it works with any combination of colours you can think of!

Check out the video below or over on the WOW! Embossing channel to see how.

Both of my cards feature tone on tone backgrounds which I created by smushing the WOW! Embossing ink pad through a stencil (I'm using Alexandra Renke stencils for both cards) and then heat embossing.   For the red card, I used Primary Apple Red powder, and for the blue I used Mint Macaroon which gives a lovely pearly finish.  I die cut them both with a Studio Katia die and adhered them to a white 110…

Pink Heart Cards with Dana

Hello, everyone!
It's Dana here and I'd like to share two heart cards with you today. I featured WOW! Embossing Powder Primary Fuchsia Fusion and here are what I came up with.

To start, I took WOW! Superior Smooth White Cardstock and trimmed them down in A2 size. I then dry embossed each of them using heart dies from Altenew as shown in the picture.

For first card, I rubbed a part of hearts with WOW! Embossing Pad and sprinkled WOW! Primary Fuchsia Fusion Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I then lightly ink blended another a piece of WOW! Superior Smooth White Cardstock with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I mounted it onto white card base and covered it with heat embossed panel.

I die cut two pieces of 'hello' from black card stock using Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Gorgeous. I glued them each other and adhered it where I wanted them. As a final touch of this card, I embellished with Studio Katia October Crystals.

For next card, I used negative piece of heart…

Heat Embossed Impression Stamping with Jenny Colacicco

Hi Everyone, it's Jenny here and I'm so excited to be joining you today with my first official post for WOW! Embossing as a member of the Design Team!

I have a video to share with you today that shows you how to create imprints in all over embossed panels and create some really stunning effects.    You can check out the video here and over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel.  I'm using the new WOW! Dual Heat embossing tool in today's video, which some of you may have seen at Creativation - it was featured in a lot of 'top spots at Creativation' and I concur!! Love this tool!!

My first card uses a red rubber background stamp and WOW! Metalline First Frost embossing powder to create an all over impression in the liquid embossing powder.

Once the embossing powder cools, you're left with a beautiful set impression which you can then embellish with stamped images or die cut sentiments - the sky is the limit with this technique, even just using only one embos…

Holiday Wishes Card with Dana

Hello, everyone!
It's Dana here and I'd like to share holiday card with Silver/Gold theme of this month.

To start, I stamped winter images onto white card stock and colored them in with Copic markers. I die cut them out using coordinating dies and let them aside for next step.

I die cut tag from two pieces of bristol papers and ink blended one of them with distress oxide inks. I then die cut another one with border die. I scribbled WOW! Embossing Pen along with its edge and sprinkled WOW! Unicorn Magic Embossing Glitter and heat set it.

After I mounted small pieces on the tag, I stamped sentiment with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with WOW! Red Glitz Embossing Powder.

For background, I stenciled sun rays with WOW! Clear Embossing Ink using mini sponge dauber onto woodgrain card stock. I then sprinkled WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and heat set them.

Then, I popped up tag onto stenciled panel using foam tape.

I embellished my card with red crystals h…
