Spring Sparkles card

Hello everyone!

It's Fran with you today, sharing  a quick and simple Spring card filled with bright fresh colours and WOW! Sparkles glitter.
I started off by applying soft gel medium to the edges of the card which I then covered with Pumpkin Spice Sparkles glitter to create a blingy border frame and to add some definition.

I've kept the back ground of the card relatively simple with a layer of gesso spread over patterned to give a white washed look and then stamped with the honeycomb stamp from the Heart & Twine set.

Some gesso and glitter makes a big difference to paper flowers!

To embellish I've used a selection of flowers, feather and resin embellishment which I created with WOW Melt-it powder, which I made by mixing 1tbsp tablespoon of Melt-It powder with 1tsp of Avocado embossing powder in a foil tin and then melting the powders together. Once melted I poured the liquid into WOW's feather silicone mould to create a resin embellishment. To finish I added some…

Altered lantern from a piece of paper!

Hello, crafty friends! It is Victoria on the blog today. Our August theme is "Flowers" and I absolutely love it: I use flowers in almost every project. And I've prepared something really cool. This lantern I created from scratch and embellished with my handmade flowers. I will give you the instructions below.
1. I cut 8 a2 paper frames and 8 borders, using my die-cutting machine, two pieces 12*12 cm of paper for the top and the bottom and two pieces 10.5*10.5 cm of 2 mm thick cardboard. Also I cut four 1,5*13 cm paper strips and scored them in half in length and folded. Then I glued the frames to the folded strips (1st frame-paper strip-2nd frame, so you get rather firm and steady construction), that way I formed rectangular base for the lantern.

Define & Shine Canvas

Hello everyone,
It's mixed media time! canvas shows how great embossing powders can look combined with stencils to enrich the backgrounds of your project. I do love creating canvases mixing textures and colours so really enjoyed combining foils, embossing powders with my embellishments.
For the background I colour washed the canvas with water colour inks then added details with stencils and powders (Pearl Gold, White Peal, Rich Gold Ultra High). Adding layers of foiling details gave an extra pop and shine to the canvas.
I have used the feathers silicone mould with Melt-It powder to create these two beautiful embellishments which I have used nestled into the leaves and flowers.

Hopefully I have given you some inspiration on different ways to use your powders aside from stamping!

Flower Card by Susanne

Hi my dear crafty friends!

Susanne here and this is my debut at the WOW! Embossing Powder Blog today. I am very excited and proud that I am part of this talented team! I like to share this colourful flower card. I started the card with a watercolour background. Therefor I used my inktense blocks and added lots of gold dots on top using the Gold Rich Powder together with the Funky Border Strip clear stamps. I picked the round dots, stamped them with clear embossing ink side by side and added the powder. To give it a more random look I wiped away some of the powder with a brush, before I heat set it. I smeared the edges of the background layer with white acrylic paint.

Let's talk about the embellishments: I used different die cuts that go under my paper flowers.

The dies to create these 3d paper flowers come from My Favourite Things and Marianne Design. Some are layered ones, some are roll up flowers. To give them more interest I added Heart Throb Embossing Glitter to their edges. …

Feathers of Fancy

Hi everyone! It's Fran here with you todaysharing my first WOW! DT project with you. Excitement!

I'm a big fan of feahers so I fell in love with the Wow silicone mould and wanted to create a simple yet punchy card with it.

I started the background by inking a piece of card then I rubbed Wow's embossing ink pad over and added Iced Silver powder on top and melted.

For the resin feather I used a combination of Bluetiful and Black Ebony embossing powders which I mixed with Melt It powder in two seperate batches; Bluetiful  for the tip of the feather and Black Ebony for the bottom part.

I dropped some dots of the remaining black hot Melt It liquid onto my heat resistant craft sheet to make my own mini resin gems and aren't they just the cutest things?

Dimension was added to the card with a piece of Ice Blue foil which I adhered and rubbed Wow embossing ink. Royal Crush and Pearl White powders  were then sprinkled over and melted to create a 3D, metallic, molten surface.

Beauty Layout

Welcome Wow fans, Jenifer here with you today to share a layout I created using some of the new stamps, embossing colors and moulds.
I just knew when I saw the new Long Island Teal embossing powder I had to use it.  It coordinated with this picture that I took of a robins nest that we had in our tree a few years ago and it just went from there.
I stamped with the Chrysanthemum stamp directly onto the wood grain patterned paper to give it just a pop of color.  I sprayed a little gold, teal and white mists onto the paper and let them blend and drip down the page.  I layered some string and doilies together to balance out my picture and called it good.

I have been asking for a feather mould for a long time now and I can tell you it was definitely worth the wait.  Just look how beautiful they are and with all of the detail I know that I will be using them on tons of things.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my layout today, make sure you stop by often to see some of my teammate…
