Memories of Disney….

Hi Everyone

As I was sat on my sun lounger on holiday I was reflecting on holidays spent with our daughter.  You see this was the first time without her - she preferring the bright lights and thumping sounds of Aya Napa to being with her parents.  So I created this for  WOW HQ this month.
I have chosen to go back in time to 2007 when my family and I went to Disney World.  Our daughter loved (and still does) MINNIE MOUSE even though she is 18 years old now!

I started by cutting out some die cuts from different scrap pieces of card stock and vellum: Marianne Designs, Spellbinders,Sue Wilson, Sizzix and Tattered Lace.I then inked and heat set  some of them up with Versamark and used the following embossing powders: New-Daytona Sands, New-Atlantic Spray, New-Long Island Teal, Bark Ebony, Pepper and Copper Pearl. The 12 x 12 card stock, I firstly sprayed with Dylusion sprays and let it dry. I then took the embossed  die cuts and arranged them on the page. The stamp 'SMILE' is taken f…

Memories of 2014!

Hello!
The theme for this month is 'memories', and I want to share part of a very good memory from this year... Getting onto the WOW design team!
Part of the application process was to submit some creations using embossing powder, so I created this 3D home decor piece.....
I used copper pearl powder, and made a 3D rose using the large rose mould...
The leaves were created by twisting wire into oval shapes, then gluing on old book pages. I added a glossy glaze onto the leaves to create shine.
The wire stem was attached to the rose, then placed in a driftwood disc. A cut out word completes the look, I love searching through text to find just the perfect word to use!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, see you all in January for another project! Trish xxxx

Be you (with a lot of embossing powders)

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our new monthly challenge.
Irit is here with some  embossed inspiration.
This month we challenge you to use Fabric (any fabric as you can see from my project).

This is a new Mixed Media piece I made for WOW! Embossing powders Fabric monthly challenge.
My fabric is canvas I worked over and I tried to use some different mediums and to add embossing powders over those mediums to see the results. All mists are from LSG.
All chipboards and masks are from Tando Creative and I used black gesso, glossy accents and white molding paste to add a lot of embossing and to check the results.
Well, it works great over the black gesso: we  still see the black colour, but then it gave us a textured look and made the gesso mask very visible.

The " blood drops" over glossy accents are less visible, but still gave a good  textured result.
Adding powders over wet molding paste gave the most visible texture (the outer frame splashes were made this way).
