Mixed Media Artist Trading Card by Susanne

Hi there!

Susanne here today and I have to share a mixed media Artist Trading Card. An ATC is a handmade card that measures 2.5 by 3.5 inches. They are meant to be for trading.
I do not trade at the moment, but I love creating those little pieces of art. Sometimes I use them in my art journal, in mini albums or to decorate a greeting card.

Here are the step by step instructions:

Let's start with the butterfly. It is made with the Triple Embossing Technique.
After I inked up the chipboard butterfly with embossing ink I added one layer of Primary Bluetiful Powder to it. In my next step I added two layers of Neptune Embossing Glitter. I melted the powder between each layer and added the next layer of powder immediately on top while the powder was still hot.
I did this also with three more layers of Clear Gloss Ultra High. After I heated the last layer I pressed the "Go Figure" stamp into the melted powder and let it sit there for about one minute.

The ATC background is a dr…

See Possibility Everywhere - Tag by Susanne Rose

Hi my dear crafty friends!

I'm sharing a mixed media tag step by step tutorial with you today.

I started by embossing an image from the "Flights of Fancy" stamp set with "Misty Sky". After that I added colour with a Gelato. Gelatos act as watercolours and the embossed parts act as a resist. You can wipe left-over colour from the feathers afterwards with a baby wipe.

I added some more stamping with Archival Ink and a black frame with a Gelato.

My focal point on this tag is a heart I cut it from cardstock after I've added double sided tape. I love this method to add the amazing WOW! Sparkles (I used: Pinkini). You can also use a die and cut it from cardstock with double sided tape. The glitter sticks perfectly to it. I distressed the edges with Distress Ink.

I added some watercolour splatters and more stamping with the hexagons from the "Hearts and Twine" stamp set.

The sentiment is printed with the computer.

I hope you like my tag.
Thanks for stop…

Art Journal Page by Susanne

Hi everyone!

Susanne here today and I've to share a step by step how-to for this art journal spread. A highlight is the Gold Foil I've used together with Bonding Powder and a stencil.

I used my homemade traveler's journal and picked a gelli printed background. I added a layer of white gesso. After this was dry I used acrylic paints and applied them with my fingers.

I made sure that everything was bone dry and added Embossing ink through a stencil (this on is from STAMPlorations). I used WOW! Bonding Powder together with Fab Foil Gold. All you have to do is: melt the powder and add the foil while the powder is still hot and sticky.

I needed some contrast and decided to use black acrylic paint. I also added some green colour.

I stamped the dandelions from the "Make A Wish" stamp set and embossed them with Black Glint Powder. I used Archival Ink for the circles (Hearts And Twine set) and added some white with an oil pastel.

Finally I stamped some texture to the cir…

Artist Trading Card by Susanne

Hi my dear crafty friends!

Susanne here and I'd like to share an ATC today.
ATC means Artist Trading Card. I'm sure most of you already know everything about it! ATCs are measuring 2.5" by 3.5". They can be made out of every material you can imagine and are meant for trading, never for sale!

I like to create these cards (although I do not trade), to try out new techniques or products. Later I use them in mini albums or on art journal pages.

On this card I used the Multi Colour Embossing technique on the background and also on the butterflies. You will see everything in my video. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by today!

I used "Fool's Gold" glitter with the "J'adore"  stamp on a PanPastel background. The sentiment is embossed with White Opaque powder.

I used the emboss resist technique on this card together with Brusho watercolour powders. I used Strawberry Sundae powder. The heart is from the "Layered Hearts" stamp set and embossed with Hot Gossip Glitter.

Memory Tag by Susanne

Hi there!

Susanne writing today and I'm sharing a memory tag today. I used a baby photo from my grandma's stash and "framed" it with a mixed media tag.

I started with a gelli printed background. I used the "J'adore" background stamp together with jet black Archival Ink. I stamped it randomly with low preassure here and there. After this was completely dry I used two hearts from the "Layered Hearts" set and embossed them with "Golden Flame" Glitter.

The lovely glittered hearts are made with the "Hearts" silicone mold. I mixed: "Fireworks" Sparkle with Melt-It powder.
I cut the love from cardstock which was covered with double sided tape. I add "Fireworks" Sprarkle to the sticky side.

Thank you for stopping by today!
xx Susanne.

Art Journal Page with Bling by Susanne

Hi there!

It's Susanne today and I'm sharing an Art Journal step by step tutorial today.

I start by colouring my primed page (gesso) with DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Cobalt Teal Hue and Blue Green Light. I'm using a baby wipe to apply the paints.

While the paint is still wet, I make some marks with a pencil.
I use a piece of scap paper and apply Hansa Yellow Medium. I'm pressing the tag onto my page immediately. The result are some grungy green areas.

I repeat this step with Quinacridone Burnt Orange.

I use a black Faber-Castell Oil Pastel to draw a frame arround my page. I also add some ochre tones with an Oil Pastel.

Now it's time for some BLING! The new WOW! Sparkles are awesome giltters. I used DecoArt Media Gel Medium to add Santorini Glitter in some areas. I also used a black acrylic fineliner to make some more marks.

I add some texture with the script from the new stamp set "Wall Art".
I finish my page by adding my focal point: The bird on a branch. I …
