Time Flies By!!!

With this month's theme being time, I knew that I wanted to create a page about our youngest son. He got married in March and now just found out that they are expecting on Valentine's Day!!! He's all grown up, but to me he will always be my little blue eyed boy!!!
Here is my layout!

I started out with the background page! I used two different techniques, first I used a stencil and used blue and yellow to randomly emboss the image.

Then I took a generic clock stamp and embossed several of two colors, The Gobi and Earthtone Blueberry. You can see a few close-ups here.

I took one of the gorgeous Blue Fern chippie swirls and embossed it with the Bodacious Blue powder.

I also used the Child's Play stamp set and stamped three images onto cream cardstock and cut them out, used pop dots and added them for little embellishments.

I added miscellaneous blooms and a journaling tag. The quotes are rub-ons, and I used the packaging backing for the background! I added a mesh ribbo…

Stars and Stripe Layout WOW style

Hi, this is Jenifer here with you today to share my Stars and Stripes post.  Stars and Stripes always remind me of the United States, the Flag and the 4th of July but I wanted to create a more subtle layout for my post. This is really a simple layout that packs a big punch.  I did the stars using Melt it California Sunshine, Earthtone Honey and Sierra Sunrise.I then created the stripes using a ruler and a Wow Pen and embossing powders Earthtone blueberry, Earthtone Honey and Skyline Grey.  I love how it all came together, all the colors blend perfectly.

Dream Big Altered Canvas

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today to share this fun canvas I made. I started out with a canvas that I had messed up on and was just laying around.  The first step was to scrunch up a couple layers of wax paper and  mod podge them to the canvas.  After that I used some spackling that I got from Home Depot and added a nice textured layer on top of the was paper.  I then took another sheet of wax paper and scrunched it up and went to town with my WOW powders.  I put the versamark pad directly on the paper not worrying about getting into all the nice little cracks.  After cutting out my embossed waxed paper into 3x3 squares I mod podged them to the canvas, at this point I felt they were a little to bright so I put a thin layer of white paint over the top and it went into the cracks and I was very happy with the results.  Then it was the layering of all the fun elements.
Here is a close-up of  all the details. I hope you have enjoyed my project today, it really is amazing what you can d…

Fall Gift Bag

Hi, it's Gini here to share a fun fall project with you. I recieved this cute burlap bag earlier in the week, and knew that it would be so fun to alter it as the perfect little gift bag. I cut metal leaves using Cheery Lynn Designs Dimensional Large Leaves. I love the deep embossed patterns. I pulled out some of my favorite fall colors from Wow Embossing Powders and inked the leaves with Versamark. When you heat emboss the metal, it heats up fast - so make sure to hold it with tweezers or lay them on a heat resistant mat. The metal tends to shine through the embossing powder and makes a gorgeous charm for your bag. I left my heart in San Francisco

Hey there!
Just jumping on the blog today to share a summer vacation layout with ya! I don't know about you, but I love to scrap with the seasons. I know it sounds crazy, but it is true. :) Last summer we went on a mini vacation to the city by the the bay.  I fell in love with it, and just like Tony Bennett sings, I left my heart in San Francisco.
I love our WOW powders, since our colors are so vibrant,  they go with just about anything you have, from any paper manufacturer.  For this layout, I used three colors:  California sunshine, bay area blue, and cable car red - all  in the Suzy West "By the Bay" collection.
I had some plain chipboard thickers from American Crafts, so I just rubbed them in my embossing ink, and then dumped on the powders, and Voila, custom made title that matches my layout perfectly!
Super duper easy! I started doing it on every layout, and became addicted.  ;)

See, this is evidence of my addiction...another layout, another perfect match.  For this "hello…

WOW Embossing Powders = WOW Projects!

Hi everybody!!! Amy Prior here today to share some recent creations using fabulous WOW Embossing Powders. I love WOW powders mainly because they are so easy to add the perfect touches to any project and without too much fuss or effort if that is what I am going for. Checkout these projects featuring small WOW details that help take these projects from Good to WOW! hehe yes I am a dork who likes play on words.....
First up is a fabulous card that would warm the coldest of hearts on any occassion. At first glance, the WOW powder may not be as obvious however the Chipboard words have been coated with a layer of one of my faves, Suzy West Bubblegum Pink, and the beautiful Handmade Halo Resin Flower in the centre of my "sun" was originally a pretty shade of peach. Peach just didn't work perfectly so a quick coat of Suzy West California Sunshine and we are back in business! How cool is this card and it honestly was such a quickie for me! The longest part was waiting for the Hel…

A fun background technique with embossing powders and adhesive dots

Hello and a warm welcome from the Netherlands! Today I want to share with you a fun idea to create awesome backgrounds using Embossing Powders and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Dots®Permanent. I really love this teachnique to create a "grungy" background. The adhesive works so well with the powders. First I covered a tag with the E-Z dots.
Then I sprinkled different colors of WOW! Embossing Powderon top. There is no need to heat between colors just make sure to tap of the excess powders very well before adding another color.

When all of the adhesive is covered heat the embossing powder until it all has melted. The texture will look even better once heated.

After that I sprayed the entire tag withTattered AngelsGlimmer Mist to color the background. The embossed parts work as a resist and the paint will not stick there. Here are some close-ups and  the final result:

Thank you for joining me today! Wishing you a sunny and creative summer! Happy crafting! Birgit Koopsen

Speaking of teams, we have the Glitter Girls up on the blog today! They have been up to their armpits in glitter, and have some yummy projects to feast your eyes on!
First up is Jen Matott!
Here is what she says about her amazing banner! "I created a mixed media banner using Basically Bare's Oh So Mini albums that were released this month.I love the different materials that they are made from and how the stamps and embossing powders work on them! I used many items to create this banner.
This cardboard piece was created with a brick template and VersaMark with WOW Embossing powders mixed and layered. I started with Cable Car Red and then layered Black Glint and some Copper. I then added the "Journey" Stamp and embossed with Bright White. The dots are Gelatos through a stencil and then dripped some Gelatos mixed wi…
