A Rainbow of color...

Hey everyone! Tina here with my final post on the WOW blog! The time has come for me to explore some other fun opportunities that have ome my way!
Today I have a fun and colorful card to share with you.
In creating this card, I used the following WOW colors...
WOW Bright White
WOW Suzy West Cotton Candy
WOW Suzy West Sour Lemon

I just love that these colors show up so bright and clear on black cardstock! I used a Spellbinders® Impressabilities® template on the black paper. I embossed it in my Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine first. Then, leaving the template in place, I applied my Versamark ink. After removing the template, I sprinkled one color at a time until all 3 colors were on before heating. I just love how bright and cheery it came out! I also diecut the butterfly using a Spellbinders template, and added the powder in 3 colors here as well.
I hope that you will try combining your embossing powders to create a beautiful rainbow effect on your next project! It is SO much fun! Wow!! :…

Stenceling thru die templates

Hey everyone! Tina here to share a project with you! Today’s project is a card using 2 different embossing powders and one stamp set from WOW! WOW Suzy West Earthtone Blueberry: the Pantry Collection WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale WOW Stamp: Is it a Bird? In creating this card, I wanted to show you how you can stencil thru die templates! Spellbinders ™ create die templates designed especially for this technique! You can use any stencil, it will just give you a different look. Check it out and see how much fun it is!  The flower is a die template. I cut and embossed it using my Grand Calibur ® machine. Then, before removing the paper from the template, I rubbed thru the holes with VersaMark ink. Then, removing the paper, I sprinkled generously with the Earthtone Blueberry powder and heat set! Then, I curled the petals up. The bottom layer of the flower, I dipped the edges all in the ink and then into the Metalic Gold powder and set. Set the center with Want2Scrap pearls and this flower is rea…

HELLO BEAUTIFUL

In creating this project, I did lots of paper tearing. Once torn, I dipped the edges into Watermark ink, and then into embossing powder. Once heat set, the look completely metalic! So cool! The music paper was dipped into the Primary Ebony regular first, then the copper. It created a cool burnt look. The striped paper at the top and bottom were both dipped only in the copper
I created the large flowers using Spellbinders Siral Blossoms Three. Once assembled, I embossed the edges using the copper embossing powder. It really brings them to life!

The big flourish is a chipboard piece from Magistical Memories. I covered the entire piece with Watermark ink,…

A card you can't RESIST...

Hi everyone!! It’s Tina McDonald here!! I’m so excited to be here to share my very first post on the WOW blog!!! I hope that you will find it inspiring and that it will make you want to dig in and do some creating yourself!!
For my project today, I created a simple card using a couple of techniques, which I will step you thru. They are simple and I’m sure you already know how to do them, but I’ll explain anyway!

For my creation, I used the following WOW products:
WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine
WOW Suzy West BY THE BAY collection “CABLE CAR RED”
WOW CALL ME stamp set
WOW BROCADE stamp set

Resist technique
I’m sure this is a technique you have all used before. It is when we heat emboss an area so that inks and paints will be resisted. Here’s how I did it for this card!

1. Trim cream cardstock to desired size.
2. Apply Watermark ink to WOW Brocade stamp. Stamp image onto trimmed cardstock. Cover well with WOW clear gloss super fine embossing powder. Heat until melted.
TIP: I was not really picky abou…
