Stars and Strip Challenge Time
Hello all, its my time to share what I have been up to with the wonderful WoW Embossing Powders and Foils.  The challenge is to use stars and stripes in your challenge.  I had this idea and I love it.

I made my stars using some left over patterned paper, I used a stencil and drew my star shapes, cut them out and then I got my WOW embossing pen and went around the edges.  I then sprinkled special edition embossing glitter Sahara and heat embossed.

Do you have alpha font that's the wrong colour for your project,  Try embossing them, its easy as and you get the perfect colour for your project.  Here I have used  a mixture of Earthtone Nutmeg and Earthtone Pepper.


Alex is five in this pic so I added a five to the side.

Here I have added a layer to my layout by adding Copper Fab Foil, and a splash of Red  to.

I have used a star behind a tear for more interest.

This is my first posting for WOW Global and I am so excited to be here!!!  
Here in New Zealand it is mid summer, kids are playing on water slides, day trips to beaches,  local parks and enjoying ice cream.  All my photos on my camera are of sunny warm days.  I had this fabulous idea of getting a great photo of all the kids (6)  lined  up eating ice cream but it just did not happen.  So I found myself a bit stuck with this months challenge!  ICE AND SNOW! So I had to put my thinking cap on.  I was at our local garden center the other day getting some lettuce seedlings for the kids to plant when I stumbled across this CUTE bird. I knew I had to take him home! He sat on my table for a while and then it hit me.  I could do a winter theme canvas. I have not played with canvas a lot so I was a bit worried that it would not work. Hello!  Jen Roach here and today I have a little Christmas package to share with you.  During the holidays I give a fair amount of gift cards and I always like to come up with a pretty package to put them in.

For this package I stamped all over a white wedding treat bag with the Funky Borders stamps set and then created a little collage with some scraps of paper, ribbon and a gingerbread man.  To make my gingerbread man appear like a "real" cookie, I heat embossed it with some of the WOW! Earthtone Nutmeg embossing powder.  It really adds a lot of texture and gives him the appearance of being a real cookie.

Here in the Eastern United States Fall has come and the leaves are a changing on the trees. I just love all the colors of this time of year. For my family Fall means spending lots of time in the woods. Just a few weeks ago we were out in the woods walking around and I noticed some pincones on the ground. I decided to grab a few and bring them home. Of course I was thinking, I wonder if you can emboss on pinecones? Has anyone ever tried this?? Well, I decided to give it a shot.

So here is what I started out with. (I only did the pinecones for this project.)

I decided to do each pinecone a different color. The colors I chose were Earthtone Peper, Earthtone Paprika, and Earthtone Nutmeg from the Suzy West Pantry Collection. I used the wide tip end of a Versamark Embossing Pen all over the insides of the pinecones. I wanted them to kind of have a rustic feel so I wasn't real careful in covering …

Hello, my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and this time with a project that maybe looks like a card, but it's not a card but an altered chipboard.  When this project was crafted I was still waiting for my new stamps and powders, so I used whatever I had and WOW- I really like the final result.


I made this altered chipboard mini tray with Tando Creative chippies and added a piece of 7 Gypsies paper to the back. Then the fun with embossing began.
First I added a  strip of double sided glue to this boat chipboard and then heat embossed it with Cotton  Candy blue powder. Then I covered this embossed strip and painted the boat with white pigmented ink and heat embossed it with a several layers of Clear Ultra High Gloss  embossing powder.
The frame was heat embossed with  Earthtone Blueberry.
The arrows - with Earthtone Nutmeg  and the compass with just a bit of Cotton Candy.
All pieces were connected to this travel tray and  some Tim Holtz stickers and a nib were the last touch.

Hi, it's Gini here to share a fun fall project with you. I recieved this cute burlap bag earlier in the week, and knew that it would be so fun to alter it as the perfect little gift bag. I cut metal leaves using Cheery Lynn Designs Dimensional Large Leaves. I love the deep embossed patterns. I pulled out some of my favorite fall colors from Wow Embossing Powders and inked the leaves with Versamark. When you heat emboss the metal, it heats up fast - so make sure to hold it with tweezers or lay them on a heat resistant mat. The metal tends to shine through the embossing powder and makes a gorgeous charm for your bag. Hello WOW fans!  Jan here with a mini that's  made using A2 envelopes.  The great thing about using envelopes is they are already measured and ready to go.  I snipped off both ends so the envelope would fit over the half inch peak and valley folds that make up the spine.  "Love Beyond Measure", is the perfect stamp set for my mini!  I've embossed with Earthtone Nutmeg, both  the stamp and the powder are part of the Suzy West Collection.

The papers, button and printed text is Quick Quotes and is part of a Kit Collection.

Hello!  Jen Roach here and today I have a vintage inspired hello card for you using four of the Suzy West Earth tone colours from the Pantry Collection.  I've used this gradient technique several times now and I love how all the colours coordinate so that you can use them all on one project! 

For this card, I stamped the brocade stamp in Versamark ink onto some white cardstock and then added one colour of embossing powder at a time before heating the whole panel at the end.

Here's a close up of the flowers and embossing.  I used a blending sponge to apply dark brown distress ink across the embossed panel. I used more ink at the edges and then kept swirling inwards.  Another advantage to using some distress inks after embossing is that it covers any of the spots that might not have been completely covered with the embossing powder (due to incomplete inking of the stamp on my part).

Hi Jenifer here with you today with a fall layout for you.   I used the Gratitude stamp and punched several of the tree branches with the leaves.  I then cut out each individual leaf and made it look like the leaves in my photo where actually cascading down the page.  I also used the Metallic Gold on the new Momenta Metal stickers to change the color a little and it worked like a charm and matched my brads :)  Love it when that happens.

Hi! Patti here, and I'm going to share a boy page today!!! I know, I usually do girly pages, but I have two boys as well!! They're just camera shy. Seriously they run from the camera, but they have grown up with it!

I've used the Suzy West Pantry collection powders for this page. I started off by inking some small bubble wrap and embossing the background paper with the Earthtone Blueberry.

I used the Earthtone Honey and Paprika on the title letters. And I added the Earthtone Nutmeg on the gears. I also used more of the Earthtone Blueberry on two of the gears as well.

Here is another close-up of the gears. I used a piece of burlap behind them as a border.

Here is one last close-up, you can see the title letters an the gears. I love how these colors matched the Bo-Bunny paper here. They were absolutely perfect!

I have used a lot of embossing powder, and I really do love how the WOW powders turn out, the colors are  so vibrant, and the coverage is superior. I hope you check them o…
