Gold Decorative Ornaments with Gemma

I love to use gold and silver embossing powders on my Christmas cards, as it makes them look extra special.

For my card today, I used some Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder to emboss some of the beautiful Pretty Pink Posh Decorative Ornaments onto vellum.

I wanted to colour these with copics, but as it’s not advised to colour on embossing with alcohol markers, I instead coloured the images on the reverse side. This does mute the colours slightly, so I used stronger tones than I might have used if colouring normally.

Once the images were coloured in and the ink dry on the vellum, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Next, I die cut a white card stitched rectangle from the Heffy Doodle Metric Stitched rectangle die set. On this, I heat embossed a greeting from the Decorative Ornaments set with the same Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder.
To add some more gold accents to the card, I used a mix of gold perfect pearls and water to flick the panel with droplet…

Focus on SPARKLES glitter | Zsoka

Hi guys,
Zsoka here with you today to share my latest projects for the WOW! Embossing Powder Design Team!
This month our theme is "Sparkles" and I took it quite literally, using SPARKLES glitter ha! I have never used glitter in my life if you can believe it, so I actually had to check what to do with it hahaha!  I went with the same idea as on my other two cards I've created for our monthly challenge on Facebook (you can see them in this album).

Basically I just added adhesive (different types: glue dots, double sided adhesive and liquid glue). I then poured SPARKLES on my die cuts - I've used  Stroke of Midnight on these cards! I didn't trust the glue to hold forever so I added a thick layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze. It turned out pretty cool, like  a silicon type material, totally bendable!
I made two A2 size, top folding card bases and added the two stamped panels I had made before. I used the awesome Happy Plaids stamp to create my backgrounds. I didn't hav…

White on white - a sparkling card by Riikka

Heippa everyone! It's Riikka here today with a sparkling Christmas card. Well, you can so this kind of card otherwise, too, but I was thinking about snow and ice when I crafted this card.
I enjoy all the seasons and have said frequently that I wouldn't cope without the drastic change of the seasons we experience here in Finland. During the summer time the sun doesn't set at all but naturally this means that during winter the sun doesn't rise at all. Even though I love the bright summer nights and the warmth then, my favorite season is winter. Unfortunately nowadays usually the winter isn't the kind I love - with snow and chilly temperatures, but more often slush and rain. But this card reminds me of those icy, chilly winters I love. Glistening snow and frost like diamonds!

I used a few different glistening and sparkling products in my make. There's foil, embossing glitter and Sparkles, too. If you want to know, how I made the card, please see the step by step…

Be Merry & Bright

Hello craft friends I hope you’re all well and looking forward to the festive season. It’s always nice to squeeze in another Christmas creation and I really enjoyed making this bauble card for this month’s DT inspiration.

I started by die-cutting a circle of white card which I then stamped a sentiment on and used the Wall Art Stamp around the edges. I inked over the stamped areas then embossed the card with Regular Clear Gloss embossing powder. While the powder was still warm I sprinkled Your Carriage Awaits Sparkles over the stamped areas then heated again with the heat tool.

I die-cut the reindeer and triple embossed them with two layers of Champers Embossing Powder and a light dusting of Metallic Gold Rich.

I then die-cut stars, stamped with the Starburst stamp then embossed with White Pearl Embossing Powder. I then sprinkled Bridal Sparkles on top while it was still warm and melted again with a heat tool.

After layering up all the elements I added some gems and dome stickers for …

Winter Joy card + Video Tutorial

Hi everyone!

It's Fran here with you today with a video tutorial in which I create this festive Winter card using WOW! Fab Foils, embossing powders along with showing you how to create your own DIY embellishment (which gets the full WOW! treatment!).

I used a selection of powders on the project to alter and add some seasonal sparkle; Silver Hologram Sparkle, Vintage Peacock embossing glitter, Opaque Bright White plus my favourite Copper Fab Foil.  Stamping always gives a complete look to background areas, and on this project I added subtle snow flurry details with the mini background stamp from WOW's Let It Snow set.

Customising chipboard letters with Fab Foil is such a fun and easy way to alter and add some shine.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

Wishing you all a very Merry & Bright festive season. xxx Fran

Hello, dear friends!
Can you believe it is December already? It is high time to unpack your Christmas decoration and create greeting cards for all your beloved ones. I love making cards and here is a new one with amazing Wow! products for our "Winter" challenge.
As usual, I created custom background by stamping with Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad confetti stars and snow from Clear Stamp Set Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson) and embossed with WK14 Frozen embossing powder. Then I applied some clear texture paste with a stencil and added some pearlescent sprays.
Then I cut the window out of paper and embossed it with WK14 Frozen powder. Also I decorated chipboard elements for the window with the same powder. Then I added clear acetate to the backside of the window and created the shaker, filling it with sequins, glitter, beads etc.
I glued simple flower arrangement and embellished it with die-cut flourishes, which are covered with WS103 Mistletoe Magic and WL09R Colour Bl…

Christmas Box by Susanne

Hi everyone!

It's Susanne writing today and I'm sharing a decorated Christmas gift box.

I used the DCWV DIY Project Stack for Favour Boxes. I picked one out of kraft cardstock and embossed it with WOW! "Sprakling Snow" Glitter.

To make the snowflakes pop out even more I wiped all edges with Distress Ink "Walnut Stain".

The stack includes, not only the base of the box, it has also some decorative pieces. I picked the hearts and covered them with WOW! "Primary Pink Lady".

I die cut a Christdorn branche (from Sizzix) to create some more embellishment. I inked the die cut, while it was still in the die, with embossing ink and used "Earthtone Mint" powder to add dimension to it.

I colored the branch with Distress Ink "Peeled Paint".

Finally I decorated the box:

Thank you for stopping by today.
xx Susanne.

Box for Christmas Gift

Hello, crafty friends!
It is time to start Christmas preparation, so I've created a gift box for our monthly challenge. At first I made a simple box out of watercolour paper, size 10*15 cm, 5 cm tall. Then I cut pieces of paper the size of the sides and the lid, stamped with Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad the confetti from Clear Stamp Set Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson) and embossed with WC06 Metallic Platinum embossing powder. I glued them to the box and sprayed with red spray here and there.
Also with this powder I decorated chipboard stars and the frame. To create some embellishments I stamped snowflakes and star from the same stamp set with red pigment ink and covered with WA01 Clear Gloss SF and then fussy cut them. The chipboard sentiment is embossed with two layers of WL01 Bright White powder for enamel look.

Winter Ornament

Happy Holidays Wow fans :)  this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun ornament that I spruced up with a little bit of sparkle to add to your tree.
Earlier this year I found these tiny pine cones on the ground and collected a handful and they have been waiting for just the right project.  As you can see I added a little bit of texture paste on them and sprinkled a bit of the glacier mint and primary frozen embossing powder on them and it looks like there is a nice layer of ice and snow on them.  I love how it turned out.
I added some little white paper flowers and pearls and bells to help finish my ornament off.  Have you ever thought about sprucing up some of your ornaments?  Now I hope I have inspired you to give it a try :)
