Cool Mermaid Card with Dana

Hello, everyone!

It's Dana here and I'm back with another my *Favorite WOW! technique* card following with our monthly challenge at Facebook Fan Group.


For today's card, I started by die cutting cover panel with Hero Arts Hot Air Balloons Infinity Dies. I put them aside and started stamping the images from Studio Katia Mermaid For Each Other Stamp Set onto bristol paper. I watercolored them with Zig  Clean Color Real Brush Markers and cut out with Coordinating Dies.

Then, I applied glue tape to frame from previous step and spritzed WOW! Crushed Ice Premium Glitter as shown. I also heat embossed harp and bottle cap in silver using WOW! High Heels Embossing Glitter, WOW! Embossing Pen and WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad.


Next, I took negative piece of bottle and ink blended it dye ink. I splattered same ink with water here and there. After it dried, I rubbed the bottom of it with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad and sprinkled WOW! Skinny Chai Latte Embos…

Pinata Hearts with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a card using this month’s theme of Hearts, Red and Pink. I used some beautiful shades of embossing powder for lots of shine and sparkle on this clean and simple card.


I began by stamping the heart pinata image from the Pretty Pink Posh Pinata Party stamp set onto white card. I used versafine onyx black ink, stamping the image twice then heat embossing with clear gloss embossing powder.

I chose some different translucent embossing powders - Skinny Chai Latte and Primary Pink Robin, along withTaffeta Pink embossing glitter. Translucent powders work best as they don’t hide the stamped lines of this detail image.

I used an embossing pen to add ink to the different areas, then heat embossed them with the different powders and the WOW dual speed heat tool. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

For the background, I used the Reverse Confetti Diagonal Stitched cover panel to add interest. I stamped an image from the Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments stamp set, then …
