Winter Hopes

Hi Everyone

This month at WOW HQ is 'Winter' and I have designed a card for the New Year in a blue theme.

I have used a 6 x 6 card and started by inking up some of the butterfly resist paper with distress inks.  I then cut this to cover half of the card.

I then used a stamp from Sparkle and Shine, stamped this out multiple times onto blue coloured card stock and heat embossed with Atlantic Seaspray embossing powder. I then punched out circles around the stamp and cut the embossed circle in half.  I then glued the half circles onto the bottom half of the card.

I then used a bow around the middle of the card to cover the division between circles and butterflies.

I then die cut a Spellbinder scallop circle out of dark blue card then stamped with Versamark the words
for - then - now - & - tomorrow from the 'Express Yourself' stamp set, heat setting with Vanilla White embossing powder.

I wish you all a lovely New Year and hope that all your dreams come true.

Thanks

The theme this month is Family and I wanted to extend it beyond the normal ideal of family.... to me family is not only the family that you were born into, but also the friends you make as the family you create for yourself - and then for me, there is the additional family in the crafting world - our crafting family...
So I got to thinking about how I could show off some WOW! products while creating a project that included all of the above!
And it came to me at 2am this morning!
This what I wanted to create......

I have created a thank you card...... to say thank you to all my friends and family for all the support they have given me, thank you to WOW! for giving me such wonderful product to work with over the past year and a massive thank you to all of you..... thank you for playing along with the challenges, thank you for stopping by my own blog too to see what I have been up to and for leaving me lovely comments.... and thank you to you all for the inspiration that you all give to …

Flutter By Butterfly!

Hi there, Rachel here with my project for this month's 'Nature' theme.
I decided to go with a layout this month as I had some photo's that I took in my garden last year and have been waiting for the right moment to scrap them.

I am fortunate enough to have a couple of 12"x12" sheets WOW! Resist Paper. These papers are already embossed and take ink, paint and chalk beautifully. They are available to purchase in mixed patterned 6"x 6" packs on the website.

Sharing a little love

Hi there,

It's Nikki again and today it's my turn to show you my make on out Romance & Love theme....
This is the little card that I made today,
And a couple of close ups for you...

This is a little 4 x 4 card (I just adore little cards at the moment).
I made the heart by die cutting 4 hearts from some of the wonderful resist paper. Inked them all over - then wiped over them with a cloth to take away the extra ink. Next came the inking of the edges in a different colour. Then I folded them in half and stuck them together.
The finished heart is a great 3d embellishment that will fold flat for going in the post (yay - no extra postal charges!) and then pop back out when it is taken out the envelope.
The background strip was a torn piece of the resist paper that I had inked all over.

I just can't get enough of this resist paper - fantastic for cards on the go but also great for all your crafting needs.

We'd love to see your romantic themed embossing projects. Make su…

Our last post of 2012

WOW... what a year!
I am so lucky to be bringing you the last DT project of 2012......
Thank you all so much for joining us this year and for playing along with our challenges. We have loved seeing all of the wonderful things that you have created, you really are a talented bunch you know!

For my last cards of the year I thought I would make you all a thank you card......
This is what I came up with......
And a little close up for you.....
I also made a little tag to go with it.....

I adore these papers from WOW! They have the embossing already on them, so all you need to do is add the ink and then wipe..... (The ink will only stay on the card without the embossed details)..
The paper comes in different designs and can be found here....

So, come back and join us for lots of fun and exciting things in 2013 - lots of new challenges and lots of things to show you all with all the wonderful products from WOW!.

Have a very happy Hogmany and all the best for a fantastic 2013 -

Happy New …
