"Antique" Inspired Layout

This month's theme is "Antique". I don't have very many old photos that are really good quality and the ones that I do I have scrapped before, so I decided just to do a "Antique" inspired age. This photo is older, but not antique! This is our daughter when she was young. She has a baby of her own now!!!
I made my own custom frame by cutting a piece of WorldWin chipboard. I just used my craft knife and made a window type frame. I used several layers of Metallic Copper Ultra High powder on this.

I also used the "Simply Amazing" stamp set and made a cameo accent. I just used the Opaque Bright White powder on black cardstock. I used Earthtone Pepper for the frame of the cameo.
Here you can see part of the frame. I added some lace and blooms with some punched leaves also.
Here again you see part of the frame and a few little corner accents.
I used the "Vintage Wallpaper" stamp with Primary Ebony powder also. I love the look of this stamp, es…

Mother's Day Delights

Hi!! It's Sandie here today with a little WOW! Embossing inspiration for you. This month our theme is Anything Goes and you can find all the details on entering our challenge over on THIS POST
I just LOVE making cards with coordinating treat boxes. They are so easy to do and they make such a wonderful gift. We've already had Mother's Day in Ireland the UK but it appears the rest of the world will be celebrating on May 12th.

For the card I started with a pink base - sized at 105mm x 148mm. I used Victorian Velvet distress ink and the Vintage Wallpaper background stamp to create the bottom panel and I used an embossing folder for the design on the top panel. The butterfly is from the Simply Amazing clear stamp set and I've stamped it out with distress ink and heat embossed it with clear gloss powder before trimming it out with a scissors. The 'Happy Mother's Day' sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments set

Again, I used Victorian Velvet distress ink a…

A Little Love for February

Hi guys! It's Sandie here with a card I made following our February theme, which is
 ROMANCE/LOVE
I made a simple Black and White card and added splashes of purple and red.

I used the Love Beyond Measure stamp set, stamped out the LOVE with Dusty Concorde distress ink and heat embossed with Clear Gloss embossing powder. I stamped out the entwined hearts, which are also in the set, with Fired Brick ink. Then I cut it out using Nestabilities labels dies.

To embellish I added a large Prima flower, some rose buds and flowers I made using the Melt-It Powder and powder from the Sugar n Spice kit

I also want to share a card I made for last month's theme, which was ICE & SNOW, but due to my dodgy internet connection it didn't make the blog. It does have the word LOVE on it so I guess it ties nicely with this month's theme ;)

Handy Stamp Storage Idea

Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! :D

It's Sarah here with today's blog post created for our Monochromatic theme.

I don't know about you, but I always find I need to use stamps from a mixture of stamp sets and I thought it would be easier if I didn't have to slide each stamp set in and out of the packets all of the time.

I have a bunch of empty CD cases that I had almost thrown out but thankfully I hadn't as they turned out to be the perfect solution! The part that holds the CD easily popped out so I could then position my different stamp sets within them.

I found an old wooden CD box but it had no lid and as all clear acrylic stamps are best stored out of the light, I decided I would make a box lid for it... not just a plain lid though... a Wow Embossed box lid!

Here are brief instructions on how to make it:

STEP ONE

Using pearl silver card, I created a square to the size that I needed (145mm) and added 30mm wide rectangles around the square adding in some t…

Celebrate!!!

Jen Matott here to CELEBRATE our national holiday with a patriotic card I made using Suzy's stamps and powders from WOW!   I love the "Call Me stamp set with it's star/ text stamp.  This became the base for my card design.  I absolutely love this text stamp!  I stamped it on white cardstock with VersaMark ink.  Then applied Cable Car Red first, Bright White next, and Bay Area Blue last.  I love the stripped effect it gave.   Then, I inked a doily and sprinkled the Platinum Sparkle over it.  I was thinking "fireworks" with this!  It has a silver shimmer that reminds me of the fireworks we just saw this weekend!  I stamped the frame from "Simply Amazing" set on white cardstock next and used the Platinum Sparkle again.  Then I used a Celebrate sentiment stamp that I had and used Black Glint on it.  The letters were chipboard and used the same powders as the text stamped image.  They are so bright on the white chipboard!  Here's a close up of the doily, sta…

Sister Tag

Hi everyone. It's Sandie here and it's my turn to spread a little inspiration using WOW! products.
Today I have created a 'Sister' tag. I inked the tag with distress ink before stamping the backround using Call Me clear stamp set in Brushed Cordoroy ink.

I then heat embossed one of the cute images from the Child's Play clear stamp set with Bright White embossing powder and trimmed it out. I adhered it to a kraft die cut with 3D foam dots.

The sentiment is from Simply Amazing clear stamp set and I also used Bright White on that. To embellish I added some velvet ric-rac and green satin ribbon.

Simply Amazing Cameo with a Burst of French Music

Hi everyone! It's Sandie here again and today I would love to share a card I created with the fantastic new stamp sets now available in the WOW! Embossing store....
... but first I must wish you all a very happy {Lá le Pádraig} ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
In line with this month's DT theme and colour palette I have used Pastel Purple embossing powder to make my Mother's Day card.

For the background, the stamp set I used was French Music. I trimmed it down and matted it onto some lilac cardstock. The frame and cameo are from  Simply Amazing. - I hand cut around the frame, matted it onto lilac cardstock and handcut around that. Then I mounted the cameo onto a white doily using 3D foam dots and adhered the doily down on to the French Music background.

To embellish I've added some purple ribbon and coordinating flowers, finishing with 5mm self-adhesive flat backed pearls on the ribbon.

We have an easy challenge for you this month, you don't even have to create anything! Ju…
