Spooky Halloween Treat Bag

Good morning everyone!! It's Sandie here and after a hectic summer I am back with a cute SCARY project that I want to share with you.
We all love die cuts and the general rule is to cut them out and stick them down onto our projects. They add just that little extra to your creations - however, heat embossing your die cuts brings them into a whole 'nother world. There are so many options from just one layer embossing to embossing/stamping to the cracked glass effect.
Each element of my 'scene' has been heat embossed....

A side view of the treat bag. You can add goodies inside... or maybe even ghastlies ;)
I used Black Glint on the house to make it sparkle

The 'moon' has been heat embossed 3 times with Mandarin and then stamped on using memento black ink and Funky border Strips clear stamps. For the bat I used ultra high black.

A little close up of the shimmery house....

For the tree I used Clear Semi Dull. I didn't want it glossy, trees aren't shi…

Masquerade

Hi Everyone,
This month with WOW it is Halloween using glow in the dark, Puff powders, Verdigris and Opaque Primary Mandarin. I have used a 6x 6 ins card and sprayed it with Mica spray. On another piece of white card I have sprayed red and purple mica sprays. The same sprays I have used on a mask from The Range purchased for £1.I have let these dry overnight.
I have then stamped out the bird from the Vintage stamps in Versamark followed by White Puff embossing powder on the white card.  I have brushed them slightly to give a distressed look.  Then inked over the top with dusty concord distress ink turning the birds purple. I have then used Marianne Creatables bird on a branch die and a large spellbinder wing die. After covering with Versamark, heat set with Black puff embossing powder.

The shadow flowers are a Spellbinder die covered with Versamark and sprinkles with Verdigris and Mandarin embossing powder and heat set.

The leafy scroll is a Cherry Lynn leaf flourish die, inked up with Versam…

Incy Wincy Spider!

Hi All, Rachel here with my blog post for this months challenge.

Now I have to confess I've had a bit of a hectic time lately; we moved house at the beginning of the month and with all the upheaval this brings, as well as work and my other crafting commitments I've not quite followed this months brief. Yes, Halloween is my theme but I've not had the time to play as much as I would have liked, so no mixes I'm afraid. I hope Tania, our esteemed leader, will not be too cross with me!

Now Halloween is special in our house as my number 2 child has his birthday on 31 October. Many dark and ghoulish cards have been produced over the years (oh yes, he has a dark side!).

For this offering I chose quite a simple card to re-produce, but I think it follows the theme perfectly:

If you'd like to know how and what I used please read on.....
