VIDEO: Ink Blended Emboss Resist 3 Ways with Jenny

Hi Everyone, it's Jenny here, and today I'm back with three more cards showcasing the emboss resist technique (which is our November challenge theme!) In my last post, I gave you four ways to use watercolor as the emboss resist medium.  This week I'm using ink blending, and all of the inks I use today are either Distress Inks or Distress Oxide inks, including my most favorite emboss resist technique of all!

There's also a video showing you the full end to end process, which you can check out here, or over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel.

My first card features my favorite technique - using Distress Oxide ink blending over dark cardstock.  You can also do this with patterned paper.

I used WOW! ink and Clear Gloss embossing powder to stamp The Gray Muse Happiness Blooms stamp across the bottom of a teal panel of cardstock.  I then used Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry (bottom), Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers to blend over the embossing - fading out about a…

VIDEO - Watercolor Emboss Resist Four Ways with Jenny

Have you been having fun playing along with our Emboss Resist November Challenge?  One of my favorite forms of emboss resist is watercolor, so today I'm showing you four cards that all feature watercolor emboss resist.  The twist is that they all use slightly different watercolor mediums.  Most of these cards are quick to make.   In all of my cards I use WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder for the resist technique, but you can use any WOW! powder for this.

There's a video of the process over on the WOW! You Tube channel which you can find here:

For my first card, I stamped the Hero Arts Holiday Foliage Bold Print background in WOW! Embossing ink onto watercolor cardstock and heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White. I used the Superfine grade of powder as this is a very intricate pattern.
For my watercolor medium, I wanted to pick out some of the images with different colors, while still leaving it quite sketchy, so I decided to opt for watercolor brush markers (I…

Vintage Chic Heat Embossing with Jenny - VIDEO

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a fun week - and thankful it's Friday! I know I am :) To celebrate the weekend, and to pick up the glamour theme of my last post, I've decided to get my 'vintage chic' on.  We are focusing on WOW! pearl embossing powders this month, and I just love the look of the Gold Pearl on black cardstock.  With the right background or die, it looks like vintage lace or a cocktail dress.

I've created two cards today featuring black cardstock and the Gold Pearl embossing powder, as well as a touch of Clear Gloss embossing powder.  You can check out the video over on the WOW! YouTube channel:

For my backgrounds on my cards, I used the Simon Says Stamp Modern Rose Background stamp.  I heat embossed it on black cardstock with the WOW! Gold Pear.  On another piece of cardstock I heat embossed it with the Clear Gloss embossing powder.   I LOVE how this shows up on the black cardstock (it's gorgeous on white too).

Another little trick - you …
