The gift of time

Hi everyone, Nikki here. Today it's my turn to do the WOW! inspiration post.... this month our theme is TIME, so me to there was only one thing that I wanted to do... a clock....
I picked up a clock at a discount shop a while ago and I wanted to turn it into something a bit more special.
So this is what I came up with.......
I used some of the WOW! resist paper instead of a photograph and then inked it match the embossing powders that I had chosen.
To create the leaves in the background I used passion fruit and primary chartreuse.
For the edge of the quilled flowers I used primary purple orchid and for the butterflies I used frozen berries, calypso and orange fizz. These are all new colours and I think they are just stunning!!!
A must have to your embossing powder collection.
Here's a close up to show off some of the yummy sparkle...
As a little extra I wanted to share with you another great way to use your embossing powders... You can use them to create wonderful splatter …

I don't believe in time...

Hello!
As you probably know by now, the theme for this month here at WOW! is 'Time'.  This theme opens up a plethora of possibilities!!  As soon as I started thinking about it, the song 'Time' by Hootie And The Blowfish got stuck in my head and has been there ever since...hence the title of this post  :)
Despite the endless possibilities, I could not get the idea of a clock face to budge, so that's what I went with.  And, to me, birthdays are the measure of our lives in time - so I combined this with the clock face idea and this is how it went...

To create my clock face, I started by making a mask from printer paper with a circle die then stamped the WOW! De-Vine stamp in Versamark and embossed it using Calypso embossing glitter.  And, it would seem, Calypso is the colour of the month over at the WOW! shop - I love this colour, it covers really well with turquoise goodness and has a wonderful sparkle that my photography skills fail to convey in this image - sorry!  Yo…
