Snow is Falling by Heather Mitchell

Hello again and welcome to what will be my last post for Wow! as October draws to a close and my little stint as Guest Designer comes to an end.

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I made using Metalline First Frost, Pastel Glacier Mint and Opaque Bright White with a hint of Metallic Silver for the sentiment.

The card base is made from Distress Oxide ink pads just smooched onto glass and spritzed with water to create a grungy background.  I kept the colours fairly moody as snowy skies are often grey.

I've used Visible Image's 'Snow is Falling' stamp set and it works perfectly with Wow's embossing powders.

To get the two-tone snowflakes, have all the pots ready and open (just be careful not to spill or wave your heat gun in their direction!) and use the Wow! Slow Drying Embossing Pad to stamp the images as you get plenty of time to play about with colour placement.

Use whatever colour embossing powder takes your fancy, I kept it to a cool colour palette but I&#…

Christmas Baubles Stamp Set with Karen Reategui

Hello dear friends! I’m so thrilled and thankful to be sharing the news with you all. This last October 17th at Hochanda TV show, WOW! Embossing Powder has released the Christmas Baubles Stamp Set that has been designed by me. This stamp set will be part of the exclusive WOW! Creative Club Kit from November at UK. I feel so grateful to this company for giving me this amazing opportunity. Thank you so much WOW! Embossing Powder. Today, I'm also at WOW! Embossing Powder Blog sharing the news and this card I made for the Hochanda TV show using the Christmas Baubles Stamp Set. Let's shine! I made a one layer card with lots of elements and I started by adding white ink to the borders of a red panel. Then, I stamped one of the Christmas baubles and some stars using WOW! Frosting Embossing Powder from the new Sweet Treats Collection. This embossing powder gave a very unique tone over the red cardstock, plus that glitter that I love. Next, I colored inside of the Christmas Bauble and t…

Snow Play with Gemma

The Midas Touch embossing glitter is just perfect for Christmas. I used it to add a very sparkly sentiment to my card today.

I cut the Hello Bluebird Merry sentiment die (from the Christmas Words #1 die set) four times from white card. I adhered three of them together to make a stacked sentiment.
On the other one, I inked it with WOW clear embossing ink, then covered it with WOW Midas Touch embossing glitter. I heat embossed it, then repeated the steps to get a more dimensional heat embossed look. I adhered this onto the other die cuts to create the stacked sentiment for my card.

I die cut a Heffy Doodle Metric Stitched rectangle from white card and stamped a sentiment to accompany the sparkly 'merry'. I adhered the sparkly die cut sentiment above, then created a pattern of snowflakes underneath with Hello Bluebird Frosty Flakes, which I’d die cut from some watercoloured card.

I added some distress oxides colours to my card base, to compliment the snowflake colours, then adhe…
