Art Deco/Noveau Challenge Time

Hello all, WOW its been a super challenge this month.  I hope you have all joined in.  I must admit I was stuck on this challenge as I had no idea what Art Deco/Noveau was UNTIL.....  I googled imaged it!   AMAZING and what makes it even funnier is that style of art is one of my favs.   So my next issue was what am I going to do.  I think most of you will all relate to this.  You buy papers, awesome papers and save them cause they are so stunning. We'll that's what I do with my G45 papers...I LOVE THEM.  but hardly used them cause I don't want to cut them,  sound like you?  Well I'm telling you something now!   CUT THEM, its so much fun and you can make amazing projects.  Don't be afraid as you can always go buy another piece.

So my share today is inspired by the Noveau style and I have used Graphic 45 with Metallic Copper Embossing Powders and WOW Copper Foil.

I used my silhouette and cut a frame for my project,  at present my project is sitting on paper but I pla…

A Wow Mini Album

Hello, Wow fans! Anne here.  It's the last day of November and soon Christmas will be knocking on our doors. I'm sure a lot of you industrious people have already put up your trees, decorated them, adorned the exterior with lights and lawn ornaments and have all your shopping done and packages wrapped. Well, guess what... I haven't bought the first gift yet. Truth be known, all of my gifts will be hand made this year as money is awfully tight and there's no room in my budget for shopping.

I have for you today a mini album I made featuring Graphic 45's A Ladies' Journal collection and lots of WOW! Embossing Powders and Clear Stamps. I'm going to cut right to the chase and show it to you as there are several pages in this little book.

This collection by Graphic 45 is absolutely gorgeous.  I have been wanting to do this for quite some time and when I was assigned to do a mini or scrapbook layout, guess which one I chose!

As you can see in the above photo, all of…

A Challenge To Make Your Own Embellishments!

Hello WOW! fans!  Jan here with a fun and easy challenge.  Do you ever have an embellishment that you'd like to enhance or change the color or texture of?  WOW! Embossing Powders work well on metals, chipboard and papers.  I used WOW Embossing powders on all of the above to complete my "Nutcracker Sleigh and Mini Album".  The chipboard on the side of the sleigh has been embossed using Presidio Purple.  The sleigh pattern is my design.
Embossed chipboard Embossed Metal Label Holder using Metallic Gold Rich Ultra High. Front of the sleigh with mini album.
A peek at the inside of the mini which is made using Graphic 45 packaging, Nutcracker Sweet paper line, Cable Car Red, Presidio Purple and Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder. The cover of the mini is a shaker with tiny jingle bells.  I have left the clear window in place and heat embossed with Metallic Gold. A look at the jingle bell shaker A few more pages.

WOW! .... We're Half Way There...

Happy day, friends! Can you believe how quickly 2012 has passed? WOW! We're halfway through the year! I can't believe it's Summer in the U.S. I'm kicking off my boots and slipping on the sassier, open-toed heels. That's really where my fashion sense stops. I can wear all one color in fairly basic pieces, but then it's all about the bling. Since I'm this month's showcase designer, I brought that same love of shoes to paper. I used Suzy West's Pantry Collection - Paprika on the heel and I used Angel Wings and Neutral Ultra Shimmer on the insole. The stamp is from Suzy's Love Beyond All Measure set.

Speaking of accessories, have you seen some of the things built for Steampunk? I happened upon a Steampunk convention once (next to a LEGO convention of all things). It was the most brilliant event! I was so impressed with the twist of Old and New.

This month, Anne, brings us her touch of talent with Graphic 45's Steampunk Debutant. I absolutely ado…

Vintage Trinket Holder: WOW Style!

Hello WOW!  fans!  Jan here sharing a Vintage Trinket holder.  I've used Nutmeg,  black, gold and red powders to enhance and add dimension to some areas of the Graphic 45 paper.  The gears are Basically Bare and have been embossed as well.
