Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative WOW space! Raluca here for the first time and I'm so excited to share with you my fun and colorful new card showcasing quite a few of the awesome WOW products!

I created this card to play along with the "Rainbow" theme for the Wow! Embossing Powder Facebook Fan Group page monthly challenge - ❤ WOW Embossing Powder Fans ❤ https://www.facebook.com/groups/WOWEPFans/

For my card I played with Sparkle & Shine (by Maya Isaksson) - Clear Stamp SetYoung At Heart (by Marion Emberson) - Clear Stamp SetWS167 Unicorn MagicWS31 Sparkling Snow and these WOW must have tools WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing PadWOW! Heat Tool - Euro and WOW! Premium Embossing Craft Mat.

Mixed Media ATC Trio

Hey sweet crafty friends!

I hope you are all doing well. It's Fran with your dose of WOW! inspiration and I have some micro mini wonders to share with you today in the form of ATC's (artist trading cards). I have used a selection of  WOW embossing powders to create a variety of textures and effects.
And here is my set of three ATC's together. I wanted to create a set which matched in terms of colour scheme and accents but were all individual. The base for this one stared out as an old postcard which I cut down prepared with gesso. I stamped the circular stamp from the Spark 'n' Shine set all over the card then adhered pen nibs and pieces of crumpled Copper Fab Foil onto one of the stamped circles to fashion the main feature of the card. Textures have been created with the use of micro beads, Copper Ultra High and Blueberry Cheesecake embossing powder which I melted over the beads.   For the second ATC I used the same postcard, again cut down to form the base card …

The Journey - Mixed Media Textures Card

Hey everyone! I hope you are well and feeling creative today. This month's blog project theme is Summer and I went for a less obvious route as inspiration for the project; journeys. Summer is all about holidays, trips out, getting out and enjoying the light, warmth (occasionally!) and possibilities it brings.

I firstly gessoed the front of the card and added the main texture of tulle net which I adhered with soft gel medium, sprinkled with embossing powders onto then melted with a heat tool . Using a WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing pad to tap around the edges of the card I then sprinkled with Copper powder to add a dramatic metallic highlight.

On top of the net details I added a foiled die cut star and stamped leaf from the Feathers of Fancy with the Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing pad. I sprinkled the images with Bonding Powder then melted with a heat tool and lightly pressed Teal and Copper Fab Foil onto the stamped details. Leave to cool, lift off and hey presto! …

Summer nautical shaker card

Ahoy, friends! It is Victoria on the blog today, and first of all I would like to wish you warm and sunny summer days! This month our theme for the challenge is Summer  and here is my card to give you some inspiration :) To tell the truth, I am not fond of summer - it is hard to bear the heat, though I like summer vacation on the seaside, and I love to make nautical projects. You can read the description of how-to-make this card just below. I started to make the background, working wet-on-wet with sprays on watercolor paper. First I sprayed the water and then started to add color spray with a brush, drying the splashes with WOW! Heat Tool - Euro . Then I applied white gloss gel through the stencil to create the birds. Also I stamped few triangles with Sparkle & Shine (by Maya Isaksson) - Clear Stamp Set and Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad , sprinkled over WS125 Under the Sea powder and heat set it.

Black Embossed Resist

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a quick  trending technique that I decided to experiment with this month that I want to create anything but a card. The technique is called Black Embossed Resist and I used a pre-fabric pillow box that is originally craft. Take a look of my project:

I love to use this kind of packages to put inside the gift cards or any small presents and since Graduation Season is coming up, I am almost ready for this, I just bought some of plain pillow boxes in a craft store and I started the decoration process to make these more special.

Creating this package was very easy !! I stamped several times one image of the stamp set Sparkle & Shine using the pigment ink Splendor Circus Collection over one side of the pillow box.I covered all the images with WOW Clear Gloss Regular Embossing Powderand I melted the powder with the Heat Tool. Then I repeated all the same processes on the other side of the pillow box.I started to apply the black in tak…

Popped Hearts Card

Hi lovely readers! It's Fran here today with your WOW! inspiration. The hearts silicone mould is so cute I thought I would really go to town with it on this mixed media card.

I firstly stamped a card blank with the arrows stamp from the Sparkle & Shine set then layered with card and cork which I'd punched holes into.

Using the circle stamp from the Pick 'n' Mix stamps to create a pattern around the cork and highlight the punched holes which I'd set adhesive gems into.

For the cork I spread black gesso into the centre to create texture then stuck clay hearts I'd made with the WOW mould into the wet gesso. I sprinkled over Opaque White, Midas Touch and Metallic Gold Rich powders over which I melted with a heat gun. This created a lovely shimmer over the black and the powders picked up the peaks and tooth of the gesso.

Have a wonderful day Fran x

Feathers of Fancy

Hi everyone! It's Fran here with you todaysharing my first WOW! DT project with you. Excitement!

I'm a big fan of feahers so I fell in love with the Wow silicone mould and wanted to create a simple yet punchy card with it.

I started the background by inking a piece of card then I rubbed Wow's embossing ink pad over and added Iced Silver powder on top and melted.

For the resin feather I used a combination of Bluetiful and Black Ebony embossing powders which I mixed with Melt It powder in two seperate batches; Bluetiful  for the tip of the feather and Black Ebony for the bottom part.

I dropped some dots of the remaining black hot Melt It liquid onto my heat resistant craft sheet to make my own mini resin gems and aren't they just the cutest things?

Dimension was added to the card with a piece of Ice Blue foil which I adhered and rubbed Wow embossing ink. Royal Crush and Pearl White powders  were then sprinkled over and melted to create a 3D, metallic, molten surface.

Winter Hopes

Hi Everyone

This month at WOW HQ is 'Winter' and I have designed a card for the New Year in a blue theme.

I have used a 6 x 6 card and started by inking up some of the butterfly resist paper with distress inks.  I then cut this to cover half of the card.

I then used a stamp from Sparkle and Shine, stamped this out multiple times onto blue coloured card stock and heat embossed with Atlantic Seaspray embossing powder. I then punched out circles around the stamp and cut the embossed circle in half.  I then glued the half circles onto the bottom half of the card.

I then used a bow around the middle of the card to cover the division between circles and butterflies.

I then die cut a Spellbinder scallop circle out of dark blue card then stamped with Versamark the words
for - then - now - & - tomorrow from the 'Express Yourself' stamp set, heat setting with Vanilla White embossing powder.

I wish you all a lovely New Year and hope that all your dreams come true.

Sparkle & Shine art journal page

This months theme at the blog is anything but a card. And my favourite thing to do is making cards. But I do love to make art journal pages too and I've got a small art journal that is almost the size of a card, is that cheating? I made this page using Sparkle & Shine and the little star from Pick 'n Mix. I started by making blobs of color with Distress Paint, using the dauber straight to the page. When it was dry I stamped on top. The text is stamped with an old alphabet set I had in my stash. It's a quote from Roald Dahl. I added some dots with a pen to give it a more whimsical feel. Right now when I'm typing this I wish I would have added one of the clear sparkle embossing powders on top of the jewels. You could easily flip the jewel stamp over on the block and apply versamark ink on top of the stamped image and add embossing powder on top. I might go back and do that.
I hope you like my no-card creation. I think it turned out pretty fun, I love making art journ…

Pick 'n Mix and Sparkle & Shine (Giveaway closed)

Hi! This is Maya typing, today I want to share a video I made talking a bit about the two new stamp sets that I designed for WOW's September release. But first I wanted to show you a project I made using the stamps. The sets are called Pick 'n Mix and Sparkle & Shine and I used both for this project. Since the theme for the September challenge is foil I made sure to use some fab foil on the card too. Here's how I made it.
I started out by embossing one of the stamps from Sparkle & Shine many times to make a background, I used Opaque white embossing powder for this. Then I added AquaTints that is a liquid water based ink on top to make a gradient. The embossing powder resists the ink and will make a pretty background. Just buff off any ink from the embossing using a cloth or piece of paper. The hugs is a foiled die cut. I used Word to draw up a black rectangle covering a full sheet of paper and printed it on my laser printer. An ink jet will not work since the foil …
