Watercolor Happy Birthday

Hi there Wow fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun technique.  I have a ton of art supplies that I really don't know how to use.  Right now watercolor is such a popular trend that I thought I would give it a try.
I found these metallic watercolors for under 5$ at Michaels.  I embossed my Sexi-Hexi stamp with Ebony embossing powders and then I just roughly colored in the spaces.  I wanted to try out a bunch of the colors so I went with a rainbow pattern.

Here is a close up, can you see how it sparkles.  I finished everything off with a bright silk ribbon and a statement.  I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  Give watercolor a try, it's really fun.

Simply Amazing Layout

Welcome Wow fans this is Jenifer here with you today to share my layout that I made the fantastic sketches.  I decided to do a monochromatic layout using white and yellow and I just LOVE how it turned out.
I centered my layout around this pretty picture of a flower that I had taken years ago and it was just itching to be scraped.
I embossed opposite corners with the Sexi Hexi Stamp and the Sunny Yellow embossing powder.  I used a little bit of texture paste to give my layout a little more dimension.
I used the Lace Stamp with Bright White Embossing Powder then using a yellow water color I colored over the top and then cut around the image.

Rainbows!...

Hello, hello!

I hope this finds you all well and that you all enjoyed Easter!  I have yet to eat any of my Easter eggs and for that I am proud of myself :)

So I'm here with my little bit of inspiration (hopefully!) for this months' challenge - Rainbows!

For a change, I decided to keep it simple...imagine, right!?

I took the Sexi-Hexi background stamp and inked it up with embossing ink.  Then I took a rainbow of wonderful WOW! powders and sprinkled them over the wet ink.

The best way, I've found, to stop the powders mixing as you start adding more and more colours is to ensure that you tap the excess off to the side of the page.  This prevents the colours mixing together, which is not so much of an issue on the card, but when you go to pour the excess back into the pot, it can cause a nasty surprise the next time you go to use your lovely Sunny Yellow and find large amounts of Apple Red in it!  Disaster!

Just to cause myself a bit of a headache, I opted for a white stripe.  Aft…

Rainbow Birthday Wishes Card

Hello! Nicole here with a brand new card to share with you guys. Today I wanted to share an easy way to create a watercolor background card using a background stamp set, embossing powder, and watercolor mediums. This card is super easy to create and you basically let the water do all the work!
To create the background, I stamped the Sexi-Hexi Stamp Set with Versamark on to a watercolor paper. Then I heat set it with Bright White Superfine Embossing Powder. Make sure you wet the whole layer with a clean water before adding colors.

I used few colors to create a rainbow background - this is my favorite color combination to use. You simply drop a color onto the paper and let the water blend colors together. You can either dry the layer with a heat gun, or let it dry naturally by leaving it for about 15 min or so.
For sentiment I used Everyday Sentiment Stamp Set and placed it on the bottom right color of the card. I didn't want to use any big or fancy greeting since I want the backgr…

Tag- lifting with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my WOW! Embossing Powders post.
This month WOW! DT girls are craft lifting each other. So after a long scroll over my team mates posts I picked this project as my inspiration from SUE's lovely ATC project.
http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.il/2014/11/mix-it-all-up.html

I made a tag and not an ATC, but I used just the same techniques and a lot of WOW! POWDERS.
I covered this tag with a thick layer of VersaMark ink and sprinkled a mix of powders using this salt and pepper " tool" as my team mate did on her project.
Here are the powders I used on this tag:
Metallic Brass
Vintage Candy Cane
Metallic gold rich
Pomegranate
Passion fruit
Olive
Metallic copper sparkle
Amber rose
First I made the lower layer; then glued old vintage book page pieces with gel medium and then heat embossed  it again with more gold and brass powders. The stamped images were made with pigment black ink and heat embossed over with Clear powder. The only non WOW!…

Be Happy: Mixed Media canvas with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is my small, card size, canvas made forWOW! Embossing powders November new monthly challenge and it's very easy one: make Mixed Media piece! Anything with embossing powders and Mixed Media is great.
So here is my " piece of art": flat as a journal page, made with a few Tando Creative masks, few WOW! Embossing powders stamps as the background and a lot of WOW! POWDERS.

First I made the profile with white texture paste and heat embossed withBlack Glintpowder. The I added a few pieces of another  mask and heat embossed with Raspberry  Coulis powder.
The next step was clear embossing VersaMark  ink and Canvas  stamp and heat embossing with Ebony black powder and I made a kind of a frame around the canvas.
As the next step I added a bit of texture paste over the  girl's hair and heat embossed it  withPearl Goldpowder.

Then I added two heat embossed corners with Metallic Gold Sparkle powder.
The piece was still very " empty" so…

Same stamp, different cards

I used the Sexi-Hexi background to make two cards of different styles. I made one soft and romantic and one with lots of contrast in black and neon pink.

For the first card I embossed the stamp, greeting and wood veneer star using Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing glitter. The greeting is stamped on Vellum and mounted on top of a banner cut out of neon cardstock.

For the second card I embossed the same background in white and used my Distress inks to color my background in a gradient. I then die cut the word hello out of the background and out of another sheet of cardstock that I first embossed with gold embossing powder and then I put the pieces together like a puzzle. I added a gold embossed wood veneer heart as decoration.

Ultimate Classic Masculine Card

Happy Monday! Nicole here and I am sharing a super simple and neat masculine card. I know lots of card makers have a hard time when it comes to cards for men, so I thought I would share something fun and easy today.
This literally took me about 5 min to create, so you can easily duplicate this. You can also alternate colors to create a set and make it a nice, thank you card gift for everyone.
I started with a white cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and stamped the Sexi-Hexi Background Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad. Then I used the Clear Gloss Regular embossing powder and heat set the stamped area. Since the stamp set is quite big, you want to put the paper on top of the stamp and rub it to get a clear image, rather than stamping it in a regular way.
I wanted to create a metallic look so I took out a silver ink pad and rubbed it all over the paper. I loved how it turned out!! I highly recommend giving this technique a try, this is a great way to maximize your ink pads and it's an ea…

My Favourite Things

Hi! It's Sandie here and today I am sharing a card I made featuring a few of my favourite things.

My favourite colour is Teal, followed closely by Mustard so they are the feature colours on my card.
The card base is 105mm x 148mm. I layered on a white 100mm x 143mm white panel and a 96mm x 139mm piece of patterned paper.
I created a smaller panel using Sexi-Hexi with Gold Pearl (Regular) powder. I cut it down to approx 82mm x 126mm and matted it onto white card just slightly bigger. I used 3D foam to adhere it to the bottom panel.

I used the Gratitude set with Blue Topaz for the flower and Nutmeg for the sentiment ticket. Each layer is stuck down with 3D foam for lots of dimension, which is another favourite thing.

To embellish I added some Viva Decor pearls pen around the card.

Time - An Art Journal Page

Hi! It's Sandie here today with a Journal page I created for this month's theme, which is  Time

The background has been painted with Blush Pink, Vanilla Bean & Periwinkle acrylic paints. I then used the Sexi-Hexi clear stamp with Primary Blue Topaz powder.

I embossed my clocks with the limited edition Passion Fruit Glitter and adhered them to the page with wet glue. Then I added some metal hands, secured with matching brads.

For extra shading I used gelatos around the clocks and the edges of the page. I also used them to highlight the sentiment. When everything had dried I took the Cracked Leather stamp and stamped it randomly around the page with Archival black ink.

Time to create something pretty

I live in Sweden and I don't know where you all are but here it's really hot and very nice weather at the moment. I love the summer, everything is so relaxed and we start to get some lazy habits. I have a real problem getting to the scrap room to create, I just want to lay somewhere with a good book. But when I make myself sit down to create something it comes out in all kinds of unexpected ways, like the boring part of the brain is on vacation and are not paying attention anymore. So, I sat down to create for this months post and all I could think was: It's time to create something petty... And well, that's what I did. I just grabbed a canvas saved for a moment like that and spelled the words out with some left over chipboard letters.

I used Gesso to cover the letters and then I just sprayed some random mists in pretty colors over it all. Before it was completely dry I lightly sprinkled some Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powder over the whole surface and heated it t…
