Summer love

Hello, Nataliya is here :)
Today I will show you my rainbow inspiration for our challenge. It's a card :)

For background I used WS58 Vanilla Sparkles + Lace - Clear Stamp Set, and watercolor sprays. I love resist effect, and you?
Buterfly it's a another story :) Have you already tried our foils? It's fantastic!!! I took the
Wow Fab Foil - Purple (and Wow Bonding Powder, of course), look at this pretty:

Foil also on the heart :)  For inscription I have used our brand new WH16 Parma Violet:

Have a rainbow day :)

Fly over the rainbow!

Hello!
I love colour, so it stands to reason that I love rainbows! I think a perfect combination to a bright background is stark black, it really pops, especially if it's shiny! So, I created an embossed butterfly to land on top of my rainbow....
I also added tiny black speckles, created by adding a sprinkle of black Ultra High onto the background..
My glossy, black embossed butterfly was then added on top! Love that shine!
A little stitching finished off the project...
A bit 'clean and simple' from me today, I can switch things up from the' messy messy' kind of crafting sometimes, honest!
Have a great week!

Rainbow Bows Bunting

Hi again

Christine here with this month's project "Rainbows"  I thought for something a bit different I would make some bunting. The word "Rainbows"itself made me think of not just colour but bows too so I  thought why not colour bows and add them to bunting.

Here's my project

The bows were made using a template from a paper bow I dismantled then used as a stencil. I then coloured each one with a colour of the Rainbow and added it to a heart shaped background. String was added to hang them up.

Rainbow canvas

Hi there,
Nikki here..... I love the theme rainbows...... nothing better than after a storm the rainbows coming out...... There's something very magical about a rainbow....
Here is the canvas that I made for the challenge...

The great thing about rainbows is that you decide the colours that you want to use..... pop on over to WOW! and have a look at all the colours that would make your perfect rainbow.
I finished over the canvas with a coat of clear dull powder and make a purple mix to pour into the silicone heart mould.
We really would love to see what you create with a rainbow theme.... join in with the challenge!
Happy crafting

Colour Me Rainbows...

Hi Everyone

This month at WOW HQ is the theme RAINBOWS.
I started with some watercolour paper and used the stamp 'Vintage Wallpaer' with Versamark and Bright White embossing powder.  I heatset the image.

I then used my H2Os (watercolour paints) and wet the paper.  I then used the colours of the rainbow paints over the image.  As the image is embossed it will repel the water.
I then placed a piece of kitchen roll over the top to soak up the excess colours.
I then stamped out the saying 'Live Life Laugh Often' from the 'Love Beyond Measure' set and used the technigue as above.  I then cut this out.
The card was put together with a black mat, and a pink ribbon.
Hope you have a colourful month!

Rainbow and lace card

This month's theme in the blog is rainbows and I got a million ideas just thinking about it. Most of them was very bold and colorful but I still ended up with this kind of clean and simple card. I don't know what happened but I saw the lace stamp and I hadn't had a chance to use it and then I thought it would look great with the Fools Gold embossing powder and in the end there was just a small strip of rainbow left. I am very happy with the result, the strip pulls the eye to the sentiment and still the lace can take up a lot of space. I hope you like it too!

Rainbows!...

Hello, hello!

I hope this finds you all well and that you all enjoyed Easter!  I have yet to eat any of my Easter eggs and for that I am proud of myself :)

So I'm here with my little bit of inspiration (hopefully!) for this months' challenge - Rainbows!

For a change, I decided to keep it simple...imagine, right!?

I took the Sexi-Hexi background stamp and inked it up with embossing ink.  Then I took a rainbow of wonderful WOW! powders and sprinkled them over the wet ink.

The best way, I've found, to stop the powders mixing as you start adding more and more colours is to ensure that you tap the excess off to the side of the page.  This prevents the colours mixing together, which is not so much of an issue on the card, but when you go to pour the excess back into the pot, it can cause a nasty surprise the next time you go to use your lovely Sunny Yellow and find large amounts of Apple Red in it!  Disaster!

Just to cause myself a bit of a headache, I opted for a white stripe.  Aft…

Rainbow cards with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to WOW! Embossing Powders RAINBOW MONTH.
Today I am going to share 3 techniques that both are rainbow one and very different in process and in the final look.
The first one is a very easy one  and it's a regular Resist Emboss technique, also I added a kind of a " twist" at the end.

First I stamped the Lace image withClear Gloss embossing powder and colored the background with 7 different Gelatos for Faber Castell DMC. I wiped the image  to clean all over image paint and then covered the whole panel withVersaMark ink and covered it three times with Clear embossing powder. It gave this shiny look and a kind of " water drops" look too.
The second card was made with the same  Lace stamp and SEVEN! embossing powders, added step by step over VersaMarkstamped image.

I used the following powders in this order:
Primary Apple Red
Opaque Primary Mandarin
Opaque Primary Sunny Yellow
Green
Pastel blue
Opaque Primary Process Blue

Heat Embossing + Watercoloring

Hello everyone! Nicole here and today I wanted to share a simple project combining heat embossing and watercoloring on a card. I've been feeling a lot like spring lately so pink, blue, and purple came to my mind when creating today's card.
Elegant and sophisticated look was I was shooting for so I thought the Metallic Silver Super Fine embossing powder would be a perfect choice.

For detailed images like this one, super fine powders do a perfect job in expressing them. I really love using these types of powders from WOW!. After I heat setting the image with I watercolored the image using Acashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pen set. I pre-wet the image with water first and dropped the colors with the pens by simply tapping them onto the image. By doing so, the pigment will mostly stay on the darkest side of the image and the water will fade out the colors itself.

I let the white space do the rest of the work. It helps the colors pop out nicely without much effort.
Hope you enjoy tod…
