WOW Embossing | Cutsie and Quick with Holographic Magic

Happy Thursday Darlings,

It's Jo here, and I am back with another Cutsie card to show to you all. This card was super quick to make, so perfect for those occasions when you are short on time :) To find out how I created this card, and to see more Holographic Magic, read on.

1. Taking a pink pearlised card stock, some brown pigment ink, and WOW's beautiful 'Secret Garden' stamp set, I inked up and stamped the image onto the card stock.

2. Next comes the magic powder - WOW's 'Clear Hologram Sparkle (WS12)' embossing powder. Do not be fooled by the white appearance. All will be revealed once the powder is embossed. I sprinkled the powder all over the stamped designed and used WOW's Dual Speed Heat Tool to embossed the powder.

3. Using Time for Tea Design's 'Stripes Cover Plate Die', I die cut the entire design, popping the frame onto double sided foam tape, and then insetting the rectangular segments with glue to add dimension.

4. I repeated the same process, but this using a beautiful sentiment from WOW's 'Round and Round' clear stamp set. If you are ever in the need for great sentiment stamp sets, be sure to check out the WOW! offering :)

5. Lastly, I added some milky gem drops just to add some subtle finishing details.

I hope you enjoy the design and I would love to see some of your amazing creations using this guide as inspiration. Now don't waste any time adding Clear Hologram Sparkle to your WOW! collection. This powder truly is magical and provides a quick way to take your designs to the next level.

Love, Jo

Guest Designer - Michelle Lupton | Masculine birthday card

Hello! It's Michelle Lupton here for one last time - I've thoroughly enjoyed being a guest designer for WOW! Embossing this month!

I always need birthday cards, and I'm not the best at making masculine birthday cards, so I thought I'd challenge myself to use heaps of gorgeous, glittery embossing glitters and powders on a masculine card. I cut out a bunch of little rectangles using a sentiment die from Hero Arts, in various shades of green and blue. I then embossed most of them with WOW! Embossing glitters in Pea Coat, Cerulean, Midas Touch and Neutral Ultra Shimmer. I arranged the rectangles on a panel of cardstock in a herringbone pattern, and then wrapped some vellum with a white embossed sentiment around the panel before adhering it to a top folding white card base.

Thanks for visiting :)

Using Embossing Powder on Mixed Media Projects

Hi friends,

It's Colleen and I'm back one more time to Guest Design on the WOW! blog! I have really enjoyed these past two months experimenting with my favorite embossing powders again! Today I want to share how to use embossing powder with your mixed media projects! I've got a video tutorial as well, so I'll keep my blog post brief as the video explains most of it!

When I have some down time, I love to create background card panels that I can pull out later when I need to make a card. The colorful panels inspire me! For this card, I started with a background panel that was colored using distress oxide inks. I added mixed media layers using an abstract stamp and light grey ink. And that's where the embossing powder comes in to play! Embossing Powder can add such a fun element to your mixed media projects because it has texture, shine, and interest! And it's not bulky so you can add layers without the bulk! You can use the powder with stamp, stencils, and embossing folders! Below is my finished card.

Here are the steps I took to achieve this luscious mixed media delight!

1. Apply Ultra Slow Drying Embossing pad directly onto the edges of the inked up card panel.
2. Add Luxurious Chocolate embossing powder over the sticky embossing ink and heat set with WOW! dual speed heat tool
3. If needed, run the card panel through your die cut machine to flatten it completely and then adhere to a white A2 sized card base.
4. Apply your favorite oxide inks onto 3 white card panels and then stamp 3 different sizes of Tangle Rounds by Notable Ink over the ink using the Ultra Slow Drying ink pad. Apply Midnight embossing powder over each and heat set with dual speed heat tool.
5. Die cut each Tangle Round with circle dies and adhere onto the card base.
6. Add desired sentiment.
7. Stamp the largest butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies 2 by Gina K Designs onto a white card panel using Ultra Slow Drying ink pad and Luxurious Chocolate embossing powder. Heat set with dual speed heat tool. Repeat the process with 2 of the smaller butterflies from the set. Die cut all the pieces.
8. Apply foam tape to the back of the butterflies and adhere them over each of the tangle rounds. Be sure to leave a bit of the design from the Tangle Rounds showing through!

Here are a few close up photos of my card so that you can see the details! Remember to watch the video for full details on how this card was created!

I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial session!

Let's get Crafty | REEL | Fab Foiled Fabric with Dunja

Hello everyone, it's Dunja here with a new episode of LET'S GET CRAFTY.
Actually, I should probably show something other than the Fab Foils, but let's face it, this look of foils is great and I've found out through experimentation that foil looks wonderful on fabric. Take a look for yourself!

You can watch the REEL here

I used a piece of linen and a piece of jeans. It's super simple.
You choose the shape you want, here it's a tag. The die-cut is from Alexandra Renke.

I first glued the fabric onto a piece of paper that was also punched out. This gives more stability and you can still write on the back of the TAG at the end, a few personal lines are always nice :))

Now take the stencil, place it on the fabric side, brush the Tacky When Dry paste over it and let it dry. When the paste is dry, it sticks.

Then put the foil on, rub it on and carefully pull it off. And you have a perfectly foiled TAG.

The foils are available in a wide range of colours, so you are sure to find one that suits you!
The Fab Foilers are the perfect complement. Just take a sentiment and stick it on.

No need for any further decoration, right?

Here are the detailed photos of the tags for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by. If you have any questions please let us / me know. We're happy to help.

Hope you feel inspired to use your foils.
Let's get crafty :)) happy weekend

Video | Sparkle & Shine | Embossing Pouncing Technique

Hej Everyone! It's Martina here with another Sparkle & Shine Project for WOW Embossing Powders.

As I have already mentioned before, I am always super inspired by our very own Marion Emberson.
And her Embosed Pouncing Technique is still blowing my mind.

You can watch her orignial Video here:

I felt inspired to give this technique another try and came up with a clean and simple card idea.
*You can watch my Video here on the WOW Embossing Channel*

The technique is so easy and fun!

You can marble your own die cut pieces in all colours and shades!

I absolutely recommend to watch Marions Video if you are interested in recreating this technique! She shares all the details you need to know about it!

But the main steps are:

Put a piece of Cardstock (I have been using a Die Cut Butterfly) on one side of a folded piece of Baking Paper.

Apply Embossing Powder onto the Die Cut.

Fold the other half of the paper over the Die Cut with Embossing Powder and carefully melt the Powder with your Dual Speed Heat Tool.

The results are always unique and amazing!

I hope you get to try this amazing technique!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
