Lots of Love - Raluca

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative WOW space!  Raluca here and I'm so excited to share with you my new CAS card showcasing a beautiful WOW! embossing glitter on a chipboard sentiment.

I created this card to play along with the "DIY Embellishments" theme for the Wow! Embossing Powder Facebook Fan Group page monthly challenge - ❤ WOW Embossing Powder Fans ❤ https://www.facebook.com/groups/WOWEPFans/

For my card I played with the fabulous WS26 Metallic Platinum Sparkle, along with these WOW must have tools WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad, WOW! Dual Speed Heat Tool - Euro and WOW! Premium Embossing Craft Mat. First I chose a beautiful pattern paper from FabScraps and die cut it a large panel that I glued on a grey card base.  Next I die cut a second panel, this time smaller, using a scalloped rectangle die and glued it on a grey panel, slightly larger.

I mounted the smaller panel on the card base using craft foam and moved to my DIY embellishment. I took the lov…

Using Backgrounds on Die Cuts with Jenny

The Creative Team are having a fun month showcasing our favorite WOW! Stamps.  Today I'm using the Tropical background stamp.  It's a fun floral design, great for backgrounds and techniques.

Today I'll be showing you how to make a fun background using emboss resist and then die-cutting it to create two cards for the price of one.

To create my card, I first embossed the Tropical stamp onto some hot press watercolor cardstock.  I like to use hotpress as it's smooth and great for gettting a good impression.  I embossed using one of my favorite embossing powders - Metallic Platinum Sparkle.  I used my MISTI and left the stamp in place.  I then re-stamped and heat embossed in Super Fine Clear Gloss embossing powder.

On a craft mat, I smushed a few Distress Inks and spritzed with water - I used Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, and Peacock Feathers.   I then dunked my embossed piece into the Distress inks and dried with my heat tool on setting one.  I re-dunked and dried aga…

Metallic Thank You Card with Dana

Hello, WOW friends!
It's Dana here from Dana G. Crafts and I'm coming back with another *Metallics* themed card today.
To start, I stenciled background with embossing ink from Embossing Pad using mini blending tool. I used two step layering stencil and repeated this process two times.

After each process, I sprinkled Inca Glintz and then Aztec Glintz. These powders tuned out pearly gold & rose gold shades after being heated and so beautiful.

Next, I die cut sentiment from watercolor paper two times and glued each other for dimension. I temporarily taped it onto some paper and rubbed Embossing Pad directly. I then sprinkled Metallic Platinum Sparkle and heat set it 3 times. I silver heat embossed a sentiment onto black card stock and trimmed down as shown as well.

To finish, I foam mounted stenciled panel onto turquoise card base and adhered all elements where I wanted them using glue tape and foam adhesive.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Glittery Metallic Encouragement Card

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative WOW space! Raluca here and I'm so excited to share with you my glittery new card showcasing one of my favorite WOW Embossing Powders!

I created this card to play along with the "Metallics" theme for the Wow! Embossing Powder Facebook Fan Group page monthly challenge - ❤ WOW Embossing Powder Fans ❤ https://www.facebook.com/groups/WOWEPFans/

For my card I played with WS26 Metallic Platinum Sparkle and these WOW must have tools WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing PadWOW! Heat Tool - Euro and WOW! Premium Embossing Craft Mat.

First I chose a panel from all the watercolored panels that my nieces made when they visited me. My eyes stopped on this beautiful purple pink panel that I thought it would go perfectly with the gorgeous WS26 Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder.

Then I went through my stamp stash and chose this lovely Ellen Hutson - Plant Ladies Say stamp set that has this big and bold sentiment. I stamped it using th…

Merry & Bright Gift Bag

Hey crafty friends!

I hope you are all fine and wrapped up from the cold, wet weather. It's Fran with you today to share some creativity! Here in the UK it has been so miserable outdoors so I wanted to brighten things up with a merry and bright festive gift bag.

I love this non traditional colour scheme, adding pinks, fresh aqua and chartreuse green to white.

The background of the bag has been stencilled using a piece of die cut 12x12 paper with a snowflake design, then spreading heavy gesso through to create texture. Next I sprinkled Bluetiful embossing powder into the wet gesso and melted to leave this fabulous semi transparent glossy aqua finish then sprayed a matte pink mist over the top to give a resist effect with the glossy embossed area.

For the doily which sits behind the "25", I  rubbed over the clear ink pad and added a sprinkle of Metallic Platinum Sparkle glitter embossing powder - this is a great way to add some zing to your doilies, creating custom desi…

Same stamp, different cards

I used the Sexi-Hexi background to make two cards of different styles. I made one soft and romantic and one with lots of contrast in black and neon pink.

For the first card I embossed the stamp, greeting and wood veneer star using Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing glitter. The greeting is stamped on Vellum and mounted on top of a banner cut out of neon cardstock.

For the second card I embossed the same background in white and used my Distress inks to color my background in a gradient. I then die cut the word hello out of the background and out of another sheet of cardstock that I first embossed with gold embossing powder and then I put the pieces together like a puzzle. I added a gold embossed wood veneer heart as decoration.

Love is in the Air

Hello everyone, Erika Taylor here and I'm so glad to be back creating again. Although the process is taking a little more time, the break was so needed and I feel that I've gotten a little more clarity.

Today i'm sharing with you a project filled with love. I used a combination of Whirly Pop, Cable Car and Opague Pastel Pink Wow Embossing powders to create this "Lovely" home decor item. I wanted something that could actually stay up all year long and found this beautiful charger plate on sale for $2.00 for the base of the project.

Here are a few photos for ya

First off a photo of the materials I used. Feathers, a charger plate, wooden hearts and letters, and my favorite Wow Embossing Powders.

a close up of the heart for you as well. I love marbling two or three colors of Wow Embossing Powders together for a great textural effect.

I used a few Valentines sprigs and some May Arts lace as well to give a little more UMPH to the project.

The wooden letters have been emboss…

CHALLENGE- Embossing on Fabric

Hi Jenifer here with you today to present our next challenge.  Did you know you could emboss on fabric?  Well you can, and just imagine all the possibilities :) I have embossed on some plain muslin and made these cute gift tags for Christmas. Here is a close up of the Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing glitter on white muslin.  You emboss on fabric the same way you would on paper.
Here is a close up of the bright white embossing powder. These "Tags"  they are super easy to make all you need is 2 pieces of fabric and a piece of felt sandwiched in the middle and sew around all the edges.  Embellish as desired.  I plan to use these on some layouts after they come off the packages.

I hope this has inspired you to create some of your own custom embellishments. I hope you play along.
