ART is in my DNA by Heather

Hi everyone...
Heather back again and for today's make I've used the fabulous and wonderful new Changer powders... and I'm addicted!  I've used all three on this card, Glisten, Sheen and Texture with a clear powder simply because initially, I was just experimenting.
The background is made using Distress Oxide ink pads and then I've taken a PaperArtsy stencil (#PS101) and used a sponge dabber to add the embossing ink from the pad and then sprinkled the different powders on.
You can really see (and feel!) the difference between the three different textures.  Sheen has a soft, satin finish whereas Texture has a real scratchy feel to it and feels like sand almost.  Glisten does exactly exactly what it says... sparkles and twinkles!
The stamp sets I've used are both Aall & Create and  the nibs stamp (#276) has been stamped using Metallic Silver Superfine powder and then coloured using Arteza Brush pens.
The paintbrush (#277) has been heat embossed in three parts.  …

Shimmering "three for one" cards | Zsoka

Hi there crafty friends,
Zsoka here with you today with some new card inspirations.
This month at WOW! Embossing Powder our theme is shimmer. So we are using anything that shimmers basically!
I always start out with one card to be honest, but then I hate throwing away anything so often I end up with more cards. This was the case with these cards too!

Do you know the Glintz powders? They are super pretty! They feature subtle shades of mixed golds and silvers. I selected three of them for my cards today: Inca GlintzOyster GlintzAztec Glintz I've covered 3 sheets of white card stock that were slightly bigger than A2 size with embossing ink. I then added a different color powder to each and heat set them. I repeated the process to get a smooth finish. Unfortunately these pictures don't do these powders justice! They are so shimmery and gorgeous!!!
I then used the Birch Press Design Butterfly Garden layering dies and die cut a different layer from each of these embossed sheets. I ad…

Wildflower Bouquet Metallics with Gemma

Layering stamp sets are a great way to add a touch of embossing to your images. I used four metallic embossing powders from WOW to add the detail layer to the flowers and leaves on my card today.

I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hello Bluebird Wildflower Bouquet set using distress oxide inks. This floral set has three layers for the flowers. For the final layer, I used WOW Super Fine Metallic embossing powders in gold, copper and platinum.

I especially love the detail of the Metallic Silver Super Fine embossing powder on the leaves.
To turn this into a card, I layered the florals onto a card base over a gallery frame from Hello Bluebird. I also added some of the Hello Bluebird Silly Birds and a sentiment from the same set.

The metallic embossing looks so pretty as it catches the light, and gives the stamped images some great texture and interest.

Have a lovely day, Gemma

ONE STAMP WITH THREE DIFFERENT WAYS

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a fantastic Christmas project that I created using one stamp set in three different ways. At first you may think this process is difficult but it's not, it was fun! Take a look at my card:

On this card I used the stamp Secret Garden from WOW. This is a beautiful background that I love because their flowers are bold and very detailed. I used it to:
Stamp tone to tone - over the card baseStamp with heat embossing over the second layerStamp with emboss resist on the pine.

For the first step, stamping tone to tone, I simply inked the stamp with the WOW Embossing pad and stamped over the card base. The color of this is crumb cake and the stamped image obtained  is the same tone, only a little  darker.
The second way was stamping the Secret Garden image over a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using WOW Embossing Pad and WOW White Pearl Regular Embossing Powder. I just melted the powder with the WOW heat tool and cut the entire …

Nature's Abode - Altered Mixed Media Tin

Hey everyone! It's Fran here with today's WOW! inspiration and this month I have a cute altered tin lid to share with you.

I was inspired by the beautiful colours of Spring and the mix of rustic textures mixed with soft pastels and flowers.

I have used the Flights of Fancy leaves stamped onto acetate with WOW clear embossing ink then sprinkled the leaves with Under The Sea, Bluetiful, White Pearl and Metallic Copper powders. I then melted the powder to create a 3D warped effect, as the acetate distorts with the heat and sets into a realistic shape once cool.Stamping details have been added to the background paper using a stamp from the Sparkle & Shine with clear embossing ink and Opaque White powder.

For the "nest" I mixed Melt-It powder with Metallic Copper and Opaque White powder to create a beige colour and poured onto a heat resistant mat in a swirl. The little vellum butterfly has been coloured with an embossing pen and highlighted with Bluetiful embossing …

Family Mini Album

Hello! Birgit here today with an embossed mini album cover.
To create this cover I combined two ways of embossing. Dry embossing with embossing folders and heat embossing. Using these 2 together can create awesome effects.

I first stamped my cardstock with yellow ink to add some extra interest. Of course you could use pattered cardstock as well but make sure to use light colors and small prints to get the nicest result.
I added Versamark on the higher parts of one side of the inside of an embossing folder. To do this lightly push the whole ink pad to the folder surface but be careful not to push to hard or you will also cover the lower parts Then I put the cardstock in with the side I want to be heat embossed (so the stamped side) towards the Versamark and run it through my Big Shot. After that I added Metallic Copper embossing powder to the dry embossed cardstock and heated it.

For the cover of this album I used 2 pieces of cardstock with 2 different embossing folders and applied t…
