VIDEO: Heat Embossing Turnabout Stamps with Jenny Colacicco

Hi Everyone! Jenny here, and I have a technique video for you today featuring heat embossing with turnabout stamps.  For those of you who aren't familiar with turnabout stamps, these are stamps by the company Concord & 9th and they feature a special pattern that can be stamped up to four times by rotating the stamp 90 degrees each time they create a full background image.  I'm using the Rainbow Turnabout stamp for my card today.

I've also created a video showing you the process.  You can see it here or over on the WOW! Embossing channel on YouTube.

To create my rainbows, I used four embossing powders to look like a coral-ombre rainbow.  I used Primary Apple Red, Copacabana (discontinued - Soft Mango is available and is similar),  Rose Glintz, and Oyster Glintz.  The trick to heat embossing turnabouts is to ensure you use the Concorde & 9th jig which enables you to place the panel back in the right place each time by lining up the top corners with the little engrave…

VIDEO: Use Heat Embossing in Your Cute Scenes with Jenny Colacicco

Hi everyone, it's Jenny here, and today I'm going to show you how I incorporate heat embossing into a cute critter scene card.  Normally I tend to use abstract shapes or frames with my heat embossing, or use it on sentiments.  I want to show you how you can incorporate it into a scene!

I've created a video showing how I made the card and you can check it out here or over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel.

My card today uses the fun Really High Five critter stamps by Lawn Fawn.  I stamped out a bear from the set and then colored him in with Copic markers, then fussy cut him out.

My idea was to create balloons for the bear using die cuts instead of the stamped images in the kit, and heat emboss them to give the balloons shine.   I used Heffy Doodle Whole Lotta Hearts dies for the balloons to up the cute factor.

I swiped my ink pad over WOW! Embossing cardstock, and then heat embossed it, before then running that through my die-cutting machine with hearts dies.   I used …

VIDEO: Rainbow Mandala Two Ways with Jenny Colacicco

Hi everyone!

I hope you're staying safe and healthy during these trying times.  We are nearly done with rainbow month at WOW! but I still have time to squeeze in just one more (or two actually)!  I am using the wonderful WOW! Embossing Mandala stamp set designed by our very own and very talented Karen from the Design Team, and I'll show you two different ways you can use it.

I've also got a video showing you how I created these cards over on the WOW! Embossing YouTube channel or here:

My first card features emboss resist using a rainbow array of Distress Inks and WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder.   I first stamped the main Mandala image in WOW! embossing ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock trimmed to 4.25" x 5.5". I then heat embossed three times in WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder.  I could have also done it in Opaque Bright White.

The Bristol is bright white so the result is the same.  I embossed three times to get a little dimension on the image although it …

VIDEO: Stencils and Heat Embossing Three Ways with Jenny Colacicco

Hi Everyone, Jenny here, and I'm still playing with all the gorgeous new trios that were released by WOW! last month.  Today my focus is on the wonderful Dockside Trio Inspired by Jo Firth-Young.  This has one of my favorite new powders that was released - Sparkling Sand!

I have three cards to share, all of which feature a different technique for using stencils with your embossing powders for a clean and simple look, and there's a video showing how I created them which you can check out here or over on YouTube:

For all three cards, I'm featuring stencils by Gina K Designs, and a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

For my first card I used the direct in pad to stencil technique -  simple adhere your stencil to a piece of white cardstock, take your WOW! Embossing ink pad and swipe it over the stencil, pushing gently into the holes to push ink through onto the cardstock.  I used a powder tool on the cardstock before adding my stencil, then Pixie Spray to adhere my stencils as …
