Winter Joy card + Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! It's Fran here with you today with a video tutorial in which I create this festive Winter card using WOW! Fab Foils, embossing powders along with showing you how to create your own DIY embellishment (which gets the full WOW! treatment!). I used a selection of powders on the project to alter and add some seasonal sparkle; Silver Hologram Sparkle, Vintage Peacock embossing glitter, Opaque Bright White plus my favourite Copper Fab Foil.  Stamping always gives a complete look to background areas, and on this project I added subtle snow flurry details with the mini background stamp from WOW's Let It Snow set. Customising chipboard letters with Fab Foil is such a fun and easy way to alter and add some shine. I hope you enjoy the tutorial! Wishing you all a very Merry & Bright festive season. xxx Fran Where to Buy: UK Shop US Shop

Winter Style with WOW Embossing Powders and their amazing colors and textures. Today I have a card to share with you that I created using three different tones of blue available in WOW Embossing Powder. Take a look at my card:   This month the theme is winter and I decided to use Whisper White card stock for the base and layers. Let me share how I made this: Cut the base of card. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2". Cut a second layer using the same card stock. Make a dry embossing using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. After dry embossing, pass the WOW Embossing Pad easily over the raised up side to apply the ink and cover the card stock with  Coastal WOW Embossing Glitter.   Melt the glitter with the WOW Heat Tool. Using snow flake die cuts, cut a medium snow flake and cover it the WOW Embossing Pad. Apply Blueberry Cheesecake WOW Embossing Powder over the inked side and melt the powder with the heat tool. If you want  darker color, just repe

Wintery Art Journal Page by Susanne

Hi my dear mixed media friends! I'm sharing a step by step tutorial today on how I created this wintery art journal page. I start with a snowflake stencil and embossing ink. I used Sparkling Snow to emboss the snowflakes. I wet my page very well  and add some Brusho powders. After everything is dry I add another layer of snowflakes with Molding Paste. I add Iced Silver glitter immediately. After the paste with the glitter is dry I melt it with the heat tool. If you melt it before it is dry, you will end up with bubbles, which might be also a nice effect. Finally I add my snowman from old book paper. I add some marks and my title. Thank you for stopping by today! xx Susanne Supplies: Iced Silver Sparkling Snow Embossing Pad Heat Tool Where to Buy: UK Shop US Shop

Winter Wonderland

Hello crafty friends, where has this year gone? I can't believe this will be my last blog post of 2016. the theme for this month's blog challenge is "winter" I just couldn't resist one more Christmas card! I've combined a die-cut village scene with Marion Emberson's 'Let It Snow' Stamp Set. I embossed the snow scene and the trees with a mixture of  Opaque Bright White, Pastel Glacier Mint and Iced Silver Glitter WOW Embossing Powders. The stars were embossed with Metallic Silver and the sentiment with British Summer regular powders. I covered a button with Under The Sea Glitter for a final sparkly flourish.  I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a crafty new year! Sarah xxx

Hello, this is Laurence today to show you a page in my December journal. This month's theme is Winter on the WOW Embossing blog and it is just perfect because it is pretty cold here. We measured -5°C as a day temperature. I decided to include snowflakes as a focal point and used a die covered with WOW Midas Touch. The word "Winter" is partly covered with WOW Under the Sea embossing powder. I applied a stencil on my background and rubbed my embossing inkpad before adding WOW Metallic Silver powder. I lightly painted with watercolor and stamped some snowflakes. The sentiment from the Let it Snow sheet is embossed with opaque white on a blue cardstock.   Happy crafting and join us for our monthly challenge… Material: Wow embossing pad WOW heat tool WOW stamp Let it snow WOW Metallic Silver WOW Under the Sea WOW Midas Touch WOW Opaque Bright White   Where to Buy: UK Shop US Shop
Hello, dear friends! Can you believe it is December already? It is high time to unpack your Christmas decoration and create greeting cards for all your beloved ones. I love making cards and here is a new one with amazing Wow! products for our "Winter" challenge. As usual, I created custom background by stamping with    Wow Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad  confetti stars and snow from  Clear Stamp Set  Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson)  and embossed with  WK14 Frozen  embossing powder. Then I applied some clear texture paste with a stencil and added some pearlescent sprays. Then I cut the window out of paper and embossed it with  WK14 Frozen  powder. Also I decorated chipboard elements for the window with the same powder. Then I added clear acetate to the backside of the window and created the shaker, filling it with sequins, glitter, beads etc. I glued simple flower arrangement and embellished it with die-cut flourishes, which are covered with  WS103 Mistletoe M

Guest Design Team Post: Emma Godfrey (Giveaway Closed!)

Hi everyone, It’s Emma Godfrey  here with a stylish (well I think so!) gift idea. I’ve created a piece of art to fit inside an IKEA frame – perfect for a personalised present.  I did this by first making a simple mixed media background with ink stenciled through sequin waste and layering paints using a brayer. I then stamped WOW French Music Clear Stamp Set with a grey ink pad, and one of the triangles from WOW Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson) Clear Stamp Set with a blu e ink pad. I embossed the WOW Hexagons Clear Stamp Set with WOW Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder, the WOW Flights Of Fancy Clear Stamp Set with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and the little dots from WOW Let It Snow (by Marion Emberson) Clear Stamp Set with WOW Earthtone Pepper Embossing Powder. I also sprinkled some WOW Platinum and Earthtone Pepper Embossing Powders randomly onto the background (and heated them from underneath so that they didn’t blow away). I added some white paint dots to light

Merry & Bright Gift Bag

Hey crafty friends! I hope you are all fine and wrapped up from the cold, wet weather. It's Fran with you today to share some creativity! Here in the UK it has been so miserable outdoors so I wanted to brighten things up with a merry and bright festive gift bag.    I love this non traditional colour scheme, adding pinks, fresh aqua and chartreuse green to white. The background of the bag has been stencilled using a piece of die cut 12x12 paper with a snowflake design, then spreading heavy gesso through to create texture. Next I sprinkled Bluetiful embossing powder into the wet gesso and melted to leave this fabulous semi transparent glossy aqua finish then sprayed a matte pink mist over the top to give a resist effect with the glossy embossed area. For the doily which sits behind the "25", I  rubbed over the clear ink pad and added a sprinkle of Metallic Platinum Sparkle glitter embossing powder - this is a great way to add some zing to your doilies,

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a sweet bakers box that I made and decorated using the WOW Embossing Powders. Take a look at my box: To create this box I used Crumb Cake card stock and Baker's Box Thinlits by Stampin Up. This box has a perfect size for treat like cupcakes or small presents. So I decided to create my own pattern on it. For this purpose, I used a dot stencil over the pieces of the box, I covered the free areas with the WOW Embossing Pad and then I embossed it with WOW Earthtone Olive Embossing Powder. I assemble the box and sponged the borders PowderPuff Chalk Ink Sand.    To personalize the box, I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and inked it with Satin Red VersaFine Ink. I embossed all the pieces with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and cut the starbrush circle using a die cut included on the Thinlits Baker's Box Collection. I obtained a very shiny red piece to add a festive touch to my box. I finalized this by

Christmas Box by Susanne

Hi everyone! It's Susanne writing today and I'm sharing a decorated Christmas gift box. I used the DCWV DIY Project Stack for Favour Boxes. I picked one out of kraft cardstock and embossed it with WOW! "Sprakling Snow" Glitter.  To make the snowflakes pop out even more I wiped all edges with Distress Ink "Walnut Stain". The stack includes, not only the base of the box, it has also some decorative pieces. I picked the hearts and covered them with WOW! "Primary Pink Lady". I die cut a Christdorn branche (from Sizzix) to create some more embellishment. I inked the die cut, while it was still in the die, with embossing ink and used "Earthtone Mint" powder to add dimension to it. I colored the branch with Distress Ink "Peeled Paint".   Finally I decorated the box: Thank you for stopping by today. xx Susanne. WOW!
