Shake It- WOW Style

Hi Everyone

This month for WOW HQ, I have purchased a snow globe from Hobbycraft and converted it WOW style.  These are inexpensive and your family can put their own mark on the globes and give them as presents.

I started with taking the back off the snow globe and tracing around the template with some black card.  I then covered the black card with an anti static bag, then with Versamark stamped out the flowers from the 'ME collage' and heat set with Vanilla White embossing powder.

I then used Versamark again and stamped up the stars from the 'Let it Snow' set and heat set again with Vanilla White.

I then inked up the flowers again with black archival ink and stamped over the top of the white embossing.  Then heat set again.  The black ink melts into the embossing giving it a shadow effect.

I then put the picture at the back of the snow globe.

Have a wonderful month

Happy Holidays

I love embossing diecuts, it makes them look so different from just cutting them out of paper. I diecut this wreath out of regular cardstock and made sure to save all the inside bits. After embossing the wreath I puzzled all of the inside pieces back in place and it is a cool effect. I embossed the sentiment in white and used an ink blending tool with Distress ink to add color to make the text show up.

The embossing powder is Mistletoe Magic, one of the new powders that are so glittery and pretty with a green tone. Perfect for my wreath. I also added some stars and splattered a bit of gold paint as embellishments.

Sparkly Wreath

Welcome WoW fans :)  This is Jenifer here with you today to share a fun sparkly wreath I made.  It is so cool my daughter stole it from me before the powders were even dry..  LOL
I cut a circle ring out of a piece of cardboard and then stamped and embossed an entire sheet of leaves.  I layered them on the cardboard and added a fun ribbon tassel and a fantastic glitter velvet bow.  The glitter reindeer is an old Christmas ornament that went perfect with the beautiful sparkle of the powders.

Here is a close up of some of the sparkle.  I hope you have enjoyed my project today.

Winter Wonderful by Trish

Our Anything Goes challenge this month means I can just play to my hearts content!
I've made a winter themed panel....

My whimsy girl has a nice warm winter headband, created from 5 shabby rose flowers!

I used white powder mixed with diamond white powder to give that 'all the way through' sparkle. I used my top tip of sprinkling the mould with the glitter powder before adding the molten powder to it..... this gives a glitter shine which doesn't rub off!

Molten white powder makes wonderful snow... and if you look really closely you can see the snowflakes stamped in white!

Have a lovely weekend!
