Dreamcatcher

I really don't do much DIY for the home. I have friends who are wizards when it comes to doing the coolest stuff and it looks really fun to have a lot of custom design around the house. So when this months challenge was coming I figured it would be a great opportunity to do something nice. And then I couldn't think of one single thing I wanted to make until I saw a picture of a beautiful dreamcatcher on Pinterest.

I had a dreamcatcher in my room when I was younger, I guess they were in style back then. Now I'm seeing them again but in new versions. I decided it would be fun trying to make one. I have been embossing shrink plastic before with great results, just remember to shrink first and emboss after because it curls up and the embossing can be a bit wonky after that. I made small beads to decorate my dreamcatcher with the shrink plastic by punching out circles and hearts with my hand punches and holes with a smaller hole punch.

I embossed the tiny hearts in Fuchsia Fu…

WOW!...One Stamp, Different Ways...

Hello!!

How are we all?  It's that time again, a new challenge has launched and I'm here to share my examples with you.

One stamp, different ways - the possibilities are endless!!  I've used one of my favourite WOW! stamps - De-Vine.  I LOVE this stamp :)

My first card uses the stamp as a background;

I embossed the De-Vine stamp using Vintage Peacock powder on a pale turquoise card and attached this to the card base. I then cut openings in the white top layer and adhered it to the card base with foam adhesive to add a little dimension and a shadow gap between the embossing and the card front.  The sentiment was then embossed in Purple Orchid on tracing paper and mounted on lilac card.

My second card uses the emboss resist technique - one of my favourites!

For this card I embossed the De-Vine stamp in Bright White Opaque Super Fine powder and then cut out the banners.  Once I had blended the inks onto the banners, I sewed them onto the card front.  Next, I embossed the sentiments…
