Embossed Butterflies on an art journal page by DT member Birgit Koopsen

Use your dies and Wow! Embossing Powders to create your own unique and
awesome embellishments.
Simply cut out the desired shape, cover it with Versmark and add several
colors of embossing powder next to each other. There is no need to heat the
first color before adding another color, just make sure to tap off the
excess powder in between 2 colors. Then heat emboss. After that put a piece

Ultra High!!

I just finished another class where we used WOW embossing powders and this time our focus was on the Ultra High Powders
This powder is amazing. It gives you a rich textured coat on the first application and can be built up to a thick and smooth finish with added applications of the powder.

I used the ultra high here to coat the leaves...

Materials used: Ultra High Gold and Ultra High Copper.

Have you tried your new powders yet? You should grab a few bottles and go play. The results are always amazing!

Have a great week!

Wow Earthtone Powders and Masculine Scrapbook Pages

It is no secret that I love the earth tone collection of embossing powders from Wow Embossing Powders. I think it is the cook in me, with names like nutmeg, pepper and honey, how can you not like them right?

Hello everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a scrapbook layout I created using Quick Quotes Tin Type papers and the earth tone collection from Wow (with a little Copper thrown into the mix).

I used these embossing powders for stamping, masking and to highlight the chipboard alpha letters. First a photo of the letters. I used Bloody Mary Powder Puff ink, then the copper.

For the envelope, I decided to emboss the entire thing. (the envelope was originally white with red polka dots) Then I used the postage stamp from Wow to add a little more interest.

This next photo really shows how well Wow Embossing Powders work with masks. I used the Tim Holtz Timeworks masks to create the background paper.

Now for the final project. Do ya wanna see? are ya sure? Well here it is, a layou…

May I Have This Dance?

My nephew is such a ham! I have an antique child's dressform in my studio, and it's the same size as he is. Last week end, he just started dancing with it, and luckily, my camera was nearby.

I used lots of my Wow! Embossing Powders on this layout. The heart border around the edges are from the Gratitude stamp set and are embossed with Suzy West's Bay Area Blue. On the chipboard mannequin, I first covered it with the Ultra High Copper, then I put a coat of the Bay Area Blue over that, and sprinkled in glass glitter. The Bay Area Blue is a transparent color, so the copper still shows through some.

My flowers were die cut with the Sweet William dies from Cheery Lynn, and completely embossed with Suzy West's Eathrtone Honey. I love how substantial embossed flowers are - they have a completely different texture.

Finally, I added Suzy West's Earthtone Olive over the foam letters and sprinkled a little glass glitter over them.
