Be Merry & Bright

Hello craft friends I hope you’re all well and looking forward to the festive season. It’s always nice to squeeze in another Christmas creation and I really enjoyed making this bauble card for this month’s DT inspiration.

I started by die-cutting a circle of white card which I then stamped a sentiment on and used the Wall Art Stamp around the edges. I inked over the stamped areas then embossed the card with Regular Clear Gloss embossing powder. While the powder was still warm I sprinkled Your Carriage Awaits Sparkles over the stamped areas then heated again with the heat tool.

I die-cut the reindeer and triple embossed them with two layers of Champers Embossing Powder and a light dusting of Metallic Gold Rich.

I then die-cut stars, stamped with the Starburst stamp then embossed with White Pearl Embossing Powder. I then sprinkled Bridal Sparkles on top while it was still warm and melted again with a heat tool.

After layering up all the elements I added some gems and dome stickers for …

Hello

Hello everybody, this is Laurence(laury55) to share my favorite technique, or at least one of my favorite techniques as I love to use embossing powder in different ways. First use your stamp with your embossing pad and WOW clear Gloss embossing powder. You may now use your brush with gelatos, watercolor or distress ink in one or different colors. The melted powder will act as a resist. This technique works well with a large stamp or a smaller one that is repeated on your background. I used a stamp of the Wall Art  set and stamped a few times. The flowers are heat embossed with WOW Vanilla White. I used double sided adhesive and a die "hello", removed the paper and covered the die cut with WOW Sparkles Jade. I hope you will be inspired and show us your favorite technique with embossing powder!

WOW Spring Has Arrived!

Hello crafty friends, I hope you're all well and are enjoying a little bit of Spring weather! It's a bit cold and grey here on the Isle of Wight but that hasn't stopped me feeling inspired to make my Spring inspiration card.

I started by stamping several twine circles from the Hearts and Twine stamp on scrap card, cutting out and attaching down the left hand side of a piece of white card to create masked areas. I then used the Hearts and Twine and Wall Art Stamps in the background and used Avocado and Opaque Bright White Embossing Powders.

I then spritzed the card with water and applied Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks with a scrunched up baby wipe leaving some areas white then left to dry.

Once dry I then peeled off the masks,  stamped in the white gaps and used British Summer Time Embossing Powder. I used the same on the sentiment and on the stems which  I created using an embossing pen. I finally added some extra colour and sparkle with Sweets Cheeks…

Art Journal Page with Bling by Susanne

Hi there!

It's Susanne today and I'm sharing an Art Journal step by step tutorial today.

I start by colouring my primed page (gesso) with DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Cobalt Teal Hue and Blue Green Light. I'm using a baby wipe to apply the paints.

While the paint is still wet, I make some marks with a pencil.
I use a piece of scap paper and apply Hansa Yellow Medium. I'm pressing the tag onto my page immediately. The result are some grungy green areas.

I repeat this step with Quinacridone Burnt Orange.

I use a black Faber-Castell Oil Pastel to draw a frame arround my page. I also add some ochre tones with an Oil Pastel.

Now it's time for some BLING! The new WOW! Sparkles are awesome giltters. I used DecoArt Media Gel Medium to add Santorini Glitter in some areas. I also used a black acrylic fineliner to make some more marks.

I add some texture with the script from the new stamp set "Wall Art".
I finish my page by adding my focal point: The bird on a branch. I …

Spring

Hello everybody, this is Laurence (laury55) today to show you my project for this month's "Spring" challenge. Spring is usually the time when I start again making projects for my garden and I wanted to feature flowers on my journal page. I first stamped the flower from the WOW Hey little Flower set and repeated stamping with the same flower on my background. I added green watercolor outside the stamped flowers, added more water and let the color run a little bit on my background. I added some die cut as embellishments and heat embossed the letters with WOW Golden Flame.
The tag is also heat embossed but with WOW Vanilla White this time. Finally I stamped lines from the Wall Art Stamp set and added WOW Oasis on top. I hope you will be inspired by this month's theme and join us. You can share your "Spring" project here.

I Love Sparkles

Hello crafty friends I hope you're all well. I can't believe we're nearly at the end of February already, where has this year gone?

Here is my inspiration for this month's "Everything  Sparkly " challenge. I enjoyed this project immensely as I got to have a play with the wonderful new Sparkles range.

For the background of this card I stamped the words from the Wall Art stamp set  in black ink. I then used Peachy Keen and Pumpkin Spice Sparkles on other images from the set to create the rest of the background. Sparkles aren't an embossing powder so you need to stamp your chosen image with an Ultra Slow Drying Ink Pad and use bonding powder over the top. Melt the powder then apply the Sparkles on top while still tacky, simple!

After inking over the background with turquoise ink I stamped hearts from the Hearts & Twine stamp set and used Coral Beach Sparkles on top.

Finally I used Santorini Sparkles on the sentiment from the Mr Wow's Wonderful Words…

It Will Show You The Way Altered Box

Hi crafty friends!

It's Fran with you today and I hope you are well and feeling creative. My post today features plenty of bling and shine with this cute box / card combo I created using WOW's new Sparkles glitter.

My substrate was just a plain old gift box I'd saved which I painted with chalk paint. I used Peppermint Stick glitter over stenciling details and added a touch of Perissa embossing powder onto the stones which surround the flowers.

Adding pink and a deep purple inks into the glitter gives a tint and a more blended, softer look to the Sparkles.

Open the box to find a micro greeting card inside! The card is decorated with a heart covered in both Peachy Keen and Prom Queen Sparkles glitter . I softened the heart outline with stones and the Perissa embossing powder which was used on the front of the box.

I stamped the sides of the box with the lines and brush strokes stamps from WOW's new release Wall Art set. I think they work really well togeth…

Hello

Hi WOW fans! It's Laurence (Laury55) , and I am here today to share a card with the WOW newly released products. I wanted to create something with a fresh look and soft colors. I placed a stencil on watercolor paper and outlined some of the triangles with a green watercolor pencil. I used a wet brush to dilute the color and let it dry. I inked the Wall Art Stamp set by Marion with blue ink and stamped my background to add contrast to the light green triangles. The word "Hello" is die cut and embossed with Emerald City Embossing powder. Love the sparkling! I added sequins and tulle to add volume and stitched it with my sewing machine to the background.

Steampunk Art Canvas Flies With the help of Powder

I can't hide it even if I tried, my love for Steampunk art is pretty strong. The combination of vintage and industrial together is inspirational for me. Maybe it is the contrast or perhaps the dreamy nature of it, but Steampunk is pretty darn cool. Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a Canvas I created using So of my favorite Wow Embossing Powders. The Gold Rich and Copper Embossing powders are perfect to distress gears with and I love mixing them together to create a really unique look.

I also used the Wow Clear Gloss Embossing powder on the butterfly and drizzled a little more of the Cooper powder on top. Love this butterfly!!!

The final project is filled with glimmer and whimsy and I really am a fan of how it turned out. The gears are perfect thanks to Wow Embossing Powders.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my Steampunk inspired Canvas using my favorite Wow Embossing Powders.

Until next time
Toodles Erika Taylor
