1 Background Layer, 2 Cards

Hi! Nicole here and I am back with a brand new tutorial share - creating 2 cards from a 1 cardstock piece. This month theme is "garden" - when I think of flowers, I usually think of weddings. And weddings means lots of shimmer. So even though my inspiration started from our monthly theme, my results were totally different. :)

I wanted to show off an awesome embossed background layer and decided to maximize my paper and create 2 cards. This is super easy, anyone can do it! Check out the video tutorial below to see how these cards come to life.




First card I am sharing is perfect for wedding, anniversary, golden/silver birthdays, or any occasions that call for elegant looks. Simply changed the sentiment that goes in the circle part of the card and you are good to go! I wanted a subtle, shimmer background for my cards today, so I chose one of my favorite WOW embossing powers - Metallic Platinum. It has a nice combination of gold and silver and I thought it would go really well …

Wedding Frame & Invite

Hi Bloggers, Rachel here and it's my turn to' WOW' you all today.

I decided to follow the Wedding theme and make a frame - but then I noticed that the brief was Wedding Invitations so I made one of those too!
As you can see below, on both projects I stuck with the pastel colours but also used Bright White on the invite and Gold Rich Pale on the frame to give some contrast.
Anyhow here are my offerings:


On this invitation I used Pastel Pink and Bright White Embossing Powders. I cut the window using a Nestie and used an Embossing Pen and Pastel Pink EP to edge it.  The music is stamped onto vellum, embossed using Bright White EP and then torn. The tree is from the 'Is It A Bird' stamp set.

This picture frame took a little longer to create. I used a Malma mirror from Ikea - such a tiny mirror and massive frame:). I primed it with a coat of gesso and then randomly painted it with two colours of green acrylic paint. Then for the fun bit! Stamping and embossing the whole f…

Luxurious Wedding with WOW! Powders and Stamps!

Hello Everyone! This is Bianca with a new WOW! Embossing Powders inspiration for you!
Today I want to show you how you can make very luxurious wedding invitions, cards for the order of service, place cards and napkin rings with WOW! Embossing Powders and stamps.

For all of my wedding set items I have used:
WOW! Embossing Powder in Metallic, Brass,  WOW! Embossing Powders in, Metallic, Gold Rich, Super fine WOW! Embossing Powder in Opaque White, Vanilla White, regular WOW! Clearstampset, Alphabet and Month WOW! Clearstampset, Is it a bird?

After I have created a simple background for my cards (I have used designer papers from Papermania but of course you can use what ever you like) I started to embellish with my WOW! Powders and a embossing pen. I embossed lines on the eges and stamped and embossed the birds, the words and the hearts on the eges of my cards.
