Embossed texture paste

Hello, Maya here with my very first post here at WOW! I am so very happy to be a part of this team, there are so many amazing powders and products to try and I hope I can inspire a bit. I had a lot of fun with this months theme and experimented with embossing on different metal objects around the house and trying out different techniques. Since I'm a cardmaker I still decided to share a couple of cards with you just because it is so much fun making cards and there are heaps of fun techniques to try out to make the card pop.
I made a mask from cardstoch and applied texture paste over it to make the arrows. I then added Metallic Silver WOW! Embossing powder on top and heated it up. Since the texture paste was still wet it started to bubble making a cool effect when the embossing powder melted. For a smooth surface apply the embossingpowder while the paste is wet, let it dry completely and than heat it up to melt the powder.

Chalk it up to Experience

Hi Everyone

At WOW HQ this month is Christmas/Winter and have taken a technique from Tim Holtz and give it a WOW twist using WOW products to see if there was any difference.
I firstly took a tag in black and stamped out NOEL from the  Deck the Halls set in Versamark on the Tag, then heat set with Sparkling Snow embossing powder.

I then stamped out all 3 trees twice each from the set in Versamark and sprinkled over it Clear Matt Dull embossing powder and heat set.  Now as you can see from the top right two pictures, as you are heating it it looks glossy but within seconds it goes a Matt dull colour.
I then got a piece of children's chalk and rubbed this over the trees.  Then with my finger rubbed the chalk into the cardstock.  The result is the raised embossed tree dulled like a shadow. Top left and middle left picture.

I then played devil and re heated the trees.  The embossing powder came to the top and the chalk effect went into the background on the cardstock. On the left is r…

A Wow Mini Album

Hello, Wow fans! Anne here.  It's the last day of November and soon Christmas will be knocking on our doors. I'm sure a lot of you industrious people have already put up your trees, decorated them, adorned the exterior with lights and lawn ornaments and have all your shopping done and packages wrapped. Well, guess what... I haven't bought the first gift yet. Truth be known, all of my gifts will be hand made this year as money is awfully tight and there's no room in my budget for shopping.

I have for you today a mini album I made featuring Graphic 45's A Ladies' Journal collection and lots of WOW! Embossing Powders and Clear Stamps. I'm going to cut right to the chase and show it to you as there are several pages in this little book.

This collection by Graphic 45 is absolutely gorgeous.  I have been wanting to do this for quite some time and when I was assigned to do a mini or scrapbook layout, guess which one I chose!

As you can see in the above photo, all of…
