Paper Hugs - Earth Sparkles

Hi Crafty Friends! I am so happy to be back with you today to share some awesome products from WOW!!!!! In today's card I am sharing the adorable stamp set Paper Hugs! Check out the adorable envelope stamp! Isn't it the cutest! I couldn't wait to ink this up! I wanted to create a sparkly background for these cute envelopes and used WOW Earth Sparkles in the color Sargassum! So let's get started!

I started by stamping the envelope stamp from the Paper Hugs stamp set onto Bristol card stock. I stamped the image using Versafine Ink in Nocturne and then heat embossed the image using Clear Matte Embossing Powder. I then colored each of the envelopes using a rainbow of colors using my Zig markers. I used 2 colors on each envelope. I started with a lighter shade and then went in once dry with a darker shade of each color. Once it was dry, I then trimmed each envelope using my scissors. I then set them aside to begin my background.

To create the background I started with a piece of white card stock. I trimmed my paper for a slimline card. I placed the Lotsahearts stencil onto my Make Art station. I wanted to add lots of shine to the background. I chose to use the WOW Earth Sparkles in the color Sargassum. These sparkles were so fun to use and they added so much shine! Did you know these sparkles are a biodegradable glitter? How awesome is this! To add the Earth Sparkles to the stencil I applied them with a clear texture paste. I placed some paste onto my work surface and added the sparkles. I then used a pallet knife to apply the paste to the stencil. Once it was coated, I removed the stencil and allowed the background to dry.

To complete the card I chose a sentiment from the Paper Hugs stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock using WOW embossing ink and then heat set using white powder. I then trimmed the sentiment into a label using my paper trimmer. To complete the card I trimmed the stencil background into a mini slimline using a die set, then adhered this to a card base. I then adhered the envelopes using both tape runner and foam adhesive. This completes my sparkly paper hugs card!
